  1. Lifted directly from thebiglead.com. Yes , I see that you put it in quotes. Anyway, I think the point was not about stats, but that the team wins games without the player. Their winning begins and ends with the QB, and probably won’t change until they get weaker at that position. Hopefully that occurs and they don’t have a Colts like transition to an Andrew Luck.
  2. The Lions were a terrible team, but that doesn’t detract from his greatness as a player. He was great, and durable.
  3. Barry Sanders retired on top with gas in the tank, and missed only 7 starts due to injury / other in his entire career.
  4. Exactly. Great move if it means not drafting a CB. Build the offense and maybe throw in a good DT.
  5. Not surprisingly the choad’s agent states he “ wouldn’t be surprised “ if he has a change of heart and returns to the team/game. And so it begins ....
  6. Fair point. Though it’s become cliche, don’t they say the best ability is availability ? Gronkowski dominated for sure, but his durability takes him out of the all time best conversation imo. Is he HOF great ? Absolutely. But so was Terrell Davis.
  7. Not coincidentally with Brady as his QB for the vast majority of the games. I figured the HS player part was overstated, but they’ve won with offense since about 2004 or so. Not knocking BB, but that run doesn’t happen without Brady.
  8. Oh, I agree on Father Time , and it sure appeared that the whispers about a Brady injury might have some merit. I strongly believe he I’ll retire before he will play as a shell of himself that is clearly in major decline. He will not allow anyone to see him playing that way as a final image of him. Just my opinion.
  9. Of course they could, but as always it requires a willing partner to trade with.
  10. No, not at all. Of course there will be a when, ( all the avocado toast in the world won’t stop that ) but you can be sure of one thing ; when the “ when” arrives, Brady’s ego will not allow him to continue and tarnish his own legacy. He will know when to say “ when”, and retire at that time. Hope it’s sooner than later. I couldn’t disagree more. Brady will win with competent players as long as he hasn’t slipped and it’s McDaniels offense. B.B. won’t matter that much and he certainly wouldn’t win with high school players.
  11. Okay, now it’s “ as a Bill” instead of just on a different team. Point taken on Brady, but as it’s been pointed out Gonzalez didn’t have a Brady throwing to him. Sure, he’s not “ Gronk” on one of the most QB needy teams of his era. Fine.
  12. Yep, and it’s the QB far more than B.B. that makes the difference imo.
  13. They can manipulate their cap to some degree I’m sure. Bottom line is, until the Pats* have demonstrated weakness at the QB position, nothing else will make a huge difference.
  14. Embarrassing effort for the Bulls all the way around. Pretty meek exit after a great season.
  15. I have to believe they will address it in the draft and 2nd wave of free agency as per usual.
  16. It has almost nothing to do with the skill positions. As long as you have a certain level of competence at WR and TE, the QB can set you apart or make you average to below. Until Brady goes or declines dramatically , none of the other stuff will matter all that much .
  17. Duke vs UCF was easily one of the best games of this tournament so far. Fair amount of luck for Duke to escape that one. As for the Bulls, just an embarrassing outing vs Texas Tech. They barely look competent to even be in the tourney. Very disappointing.
  18. Sometimes you have to take a risk. Troup barely played for the Bills anyway.
  19. Can “ next “ be in 2019 please ?
  20. Hmmm. I think he’d still be a dominant player when healthy, just without all the SB rings.
  21. Nah, that’s just how lawyers want the public to perceive things. Settle because it is a nuisance, simple as that.
  22. I’ll say 2-4 in the AFCE and 5-5 outside of it, so 7-9. Give or take a win here and there due to injuries and whatnot. The top end for this year’s edition will be about 8-9 wins if the offense improves dramatically.
  23. Murray will be a spectacular bust as an NFL QB. Shouldn’t be drafted anywhere near the first 2 rounds.
  24. Hmmmmm... will Beane outbid the Jest ?
  25. Might be referencing the Barr situation
