  1. Congratulations to KW on a phenomenal career. Glad he got to taste the playoffs last year, but it’s time. He may not have had a great game every time out ( and who does ? ) but he always gave full effort. That seems like a cliche, but it’s actually a rarity.
  2. Yeah, that part seems strange . Not sure why he didn’t, though Radecic was a valuable reserve and filled in nicely for the oft-injured Shane Conlan when called upon. Pretty sure Radecic is now an architect and was directly involved with the latest round of renovations at NEF oddly enough.
  3. Yes, he wore 55 when first acquired from the Colts. He adopted his Collegiate # 97 from his Alabama days in 1990 . It became available with the departure of LB Scott Radecic to the Colts in the offseason.
  4. I haven’t diagnosed the running plays enough to place all the blame on the LBs. It seems a stretch to think the DL had a strong performance with that kind of yardage allowed on the ground. Still, the high first round is for elite talent. This year, it’s on the DL and the standard in that draft spot needs to be higher than a WR that can catch. Those guys will be available in lower spots than the top ten of round 1.
  5. Still showed an upgrade on the DL would be welcome. It’s not an elite unit and KW is getting old. Some elite talent in this draft on the DL so if the slot is right you take it. Granted, which is why these early mock drafts are even more ridiculous. The FA WR crop looks underwhelming at this point, so the writer was likely projecting a bit.
  6. EJ threw the ball like he was playing darts in a bar. He just didn’t have an NFL throwing motion. His instincts in the pocket were poor, and he wasn’t a great runner when outside of it. A backup caliber QB at best. The NFL has a way of exposing you after year one and an offseason of D coordinators studying film. If your game has fatal flaws, they will be revealed.
  7. If the GM and the Coach are thinking of placating the media when making their selection they should both be fired.
  8. Crook might be a decent TE 2. As with most TEs his blocking ability is poor, he’s more of a receiving threat. He also needs to work on ball security. Draft a TE that has legit starting talent unless a FA option should emerge. I’d keep Croom as he’s shown some ability, but all others should be let go.
  9. “Experts “ often put drafting for need first. It makes them look like they know what they’re doing by simply penciling in a team’s greatest deficiency in the first round. Who would argue ? That’s fine for casual NFL fans , but more educated fans know that putting need above all else in round one is a sign of a bad GM. The DL is a draft strength and while the Bills D is their stronger side, Sunday’s debacle vs NEs ground game exposed their D line. It will depend on the exact draft spot, but the Bills should pick a defensive player with their first selection in April.
  10. He’ll play in 2019and that will be it. It would be surprising for even Blob Kraft to re-sign a QB that will be 43 when opening day rolls around. Expect next season to be the swan song for the Tom Brady led version of the Patriots.
  11. This isn’t anything we didn’t already know, but some may find it interesting. Anyone watching knows that while Allen has made progress, he still has a long way to go. He’s yet to have a game where he just looks truly efficient as a passer. The Bills aren’t out of the woods just yet. Allen shows promise, but he has to make some pretty big improvements to his game. If he doesn’t make the leap from year one to year two, talk of finding another QB will continue. Mayfield and to a somewhat lesser degree Darnold, have shown to be on an upward trajectory as QBs and seem to have more certain futures. It seems Allen, Rosen and even Jackson are still largely unknowns and the needle can move either way going forward. Simple numbers may never be a great answer on Allen, just the eye test and most importantly wins and losses when he starts.
  12. Bell patiently follows his blockers before accelerating. In Buffalo, that would mean getting hit behind the LOS most of the time. No thanks. LeVeon will be overpriced wherever he goes, but with the Bills Oline it’s hard to envision a bigger waste of cap $$ than Bell.
  13. I’ll agree that finding good FA O linemen is a tough ask. The Bills current line isn’t close to average though. It’s bottom five easily. They cannot run block at all. Some of that is coaching, but they’ve got little talent among that group. The quality of line play around the league has deteriorated in the last 10 years or so. The Bills are scraping the barrel right now, just seeing if they have a few guys they can keep for 2019.
  14. Probably 2-3 more wins. Better pass pro and running game would make the difference.
  15. From what I’ve seen, Mayfield looks the best of the rookie QBs. Then Darnold, then I’d still put Jackson and Allen as too close to call. Jackson’s supporting cast and coaching just is so much better than Allen’s that I can’t definitively say Allen couldn’t do the same or better. Rosen gets an incomplete because the Cards are just a wreck. That’s just my own “ eye test” analysis with zero regard for stats.
  16. I don’t disagree and I won’t try to. When the games get to crunch time, he just doesn’t believe in pressuring the QB. This is a key reason why the Bills defense is below average in scoring D. They’ll never really be an elite D like the Ravens if Frazier is the DC. Bad news is, he probably stays.
  17. Not necessarily. Most with a SB victory have had an elite QB on their roster. Seeing what Harbaugh did with the 49ers ( a joke of a team before he arrived) and even Michigan shows me the guy is a difference maker. Difficult personality perhaps but a great coach. What HC with SB victories is going to be available? I’m not putting Harbaugh in the HOF, but he’s a top HC in my book.
  18. So the worst offensive unit in the AFC ( possibly the NFL) doesn’t have any players with trade value. What other deep thoughts will the OP share with the board today ?
  19. Not surprising at all. Some teams in the division are willing to swing for the fences on a top HC. Others will be left behind.
  20. Right ?Prevent defense in the second quarter, lol.....Unless its 35-0 that doesn’t happen in the NFL.
  21. None of that stuff made any difference. The Bills OL is one of the worst run blocking units in the NFL. It doesn’t matter who they have back there right now, the ground game will be lacking. McCoy is not a between the tackles banger anyway, so it’s an even worse fit. I’d ditch McCoy and spend the money elsewhere, but I don’t think he’s slipped all that much.
  22. The Bills run defense and Coaching was pathetic and a joke.
  23. I agree, but you’d never know it by watching the idiots on NFLN. They’re talking up the Pats *upcoming run in the playoffs, showing clips of their exploits vs the mighty Bills. Don’t you know, the Patsies are back? See, they clobbered the Bills ! The bozos then proceeded to downplay every other AFC team , forgetting to mention that NE had lost two in a row going into the get-well contest against their AFCE chumps. It’s tough being an NFL fan trying to watch NFLN. It’s all Patriots all the time over there. Don’t they realize there will be 11 other teams in the tournament ?
  24. They actually had a fair amount of talent already in place. They added more and got a good , innovative offensive minded HC.
