  1. Or the opposite. They’ve had positive discussions with Dorsey but are fulfilling League requirements and maybe doing some favors for friends around the league as well. Networking is huge in the NFL.
  2. They’re doing what they are required to do. Besides it’s the NFL and unlike any other business. Experience / credentials aren’t the end all be all. The most “ qualified” candidate in a traditional sense doesn’t always get the job, nor should they. Teams get a sense for a candidate and if they are right for them. They may be a rising star but need a chance to prove it. May just be a gut feeling about a potential hire.
  3. You’re speculating. NFL teams operate in a small bubble and are very aware of coaches that work for other franchises. I could speculate That he’d likely get interviews and no one on the outside would give it a second thought. Anyway, the discussion was about perspectives / notions created by the existence of the rule.
  4. While the defense wasn’t at their best in this game two facts remain. The score was tied at halftime, and the Bills had the lead with just 13 seconds to go. You can always pick apart other moments in the game, but these are the most important points.
  5. Disagree. The rule creates the perspective not the other way around.
  6. Not a fan of the rule, but it looks like Martin has plenty of experience/ qualifications.
  7. Well, I’d expect the FO of an NFL franchise to be more wired in to the rest of the league than Joe Fan on a message board. Nothing earth shattering here.
  8. Regardless, Dorsey has the more important experience : working with Josh Allen.
  9. Ratings will be fine because it’s the Super Bowl. They won’t be boffo over the top numbers you would get if it was Brady/ Rodgers VS Mahomes/ Allen. That might set records. Anyway not excited and if the Bills aren’t in it then I don’t want be. One thing for certain though is I’d prefer a Rams win. The Bengals franchise has not won a SuperBowl ( like the Bills). Don’t want them to get off that short list of teams with no Lombardis. Don’t want Burrow to get a SB win before Josh.
  10. Media knows the NFL gospel: you don’t criticize Pat Mahomes. You don’t suggest there is a “ formula “ to stop him. Josh would be getting skewered today if he played like that for an entire half.
  11. Don’t know if they are or not, but Bills playing man vs KC ? I can only imagine the meltdown on this board. Might’ve needed to score 50 in that one. Maybe no Tre White changed their plans. Anyway the Bills lost it in the 13 seconds.
  12. I agree on the FG. Seemed like you could write in the ending after that. Bengals D made a few plays in the closing minutes and that was the difference.
  13. I agree. Josh was on an historic tear in these playoffs. I believe it would have continued. It’s a shame, really.
  14. That game was only 33 years ago, not the 1950’s. That’s because Tanny is the Titans QB.
  15. Bills would have been crazy to play man vs Chiefs with Wallace and Jackson. Our game was about the 13 seconds. What transpired lost a game that was a win 99 times out of 100.
  16. Don’t think anyone who watched both their playoff games would seriously put Burrow ahead of Allen. Maybe some folks in Cincinnati, but that’s about it.
  17. I did see a blatant hold by KC late on a running play. Hands on the outside of the shoulder pads. The CIN defender flailed his arms a bit to no avail. I had no issues with the way the Bills game was called though. Maybe saw one PI that they missed.
  18. They did it all last season ( 2020) and scoring was up across the board. Rating were too. This year they started with Offensive holding and taunting as “ points of emphasis”. Flag fests resulted. For these playoffs they seem to have reverted to the old playoffs. Flag happy Refs like Boger were cut off from playoff games. Result= more enjoyable product on the field.
  19. He’s a WCO guy, and I just don’t think Josh is a WCO type QB. New system = step back in Championship mode.
  20. Bills coaches were awful for 13 seconds, otherwise that games a win. Would it be nice to beat em by 20 again? Sure, but Tre White May have changed some of their ideas. Bengals got to OT and made a play. The Bills game should have ended in regulation with even a decent strategy and execution.
  21. Goes back many years , really to the 90’s Cowboys era. Those Cowboys teams were stacked on the DL, so their line kept fresh was overwhelming. Gotta have the quality for it to matter.
  22. Yep. The one guy I wouldn’t hate to see leave is the one that will stay.
  23. It is and it happens sometimes. Seems like Burrow was sacked every 3rd dropback laat week. Teams get hot and go on a run though. Not the first time or the last.
  24. Their D continued a hot streak with takeaways. Looks like they got Mahomes a few times. No magic bullets here. No mythical secret strategy. Guys just have to step up and make plays. The Bills D didn’t do that. The Bengals gave up the tying points ( thought they didn’t only have to defend for 13 measly seconds)and lost the toss in OT. They took the ball away , kick , Super Bowl.
  25. Garbage organization. Couldn’t win with Stafford AND Megatron, Suh. Total joke
