  1. Palmer, Coleman, Shakir, and Samuel are your top 4. Shavers is #5 and takes the role Hollins had. They got Palmer because statistically he separates well and gives them a downfield threat. Next.
  2. Oh I see. Only specific rounds count. Thanks for clarifying.
  3. What WR in this draft was going to change that?
  4. Incomplete as I would grade any draft until you see how guys pan out. But a draft is supposed to shore up weaknesses and our D has been the issue. So it was good to focus there.
  5. Who? Which one had a high ranking that he’d be whatever you want to refer to as a #1 WR? Who ranked higher than the guys chosen?
  6. We signed a guy in free agency that has a high ranking for ability to separate. Now give me a day 3 guy that we could have gotten that would have given us anything over guys already on the practice squad like Hamler.
  7. You have a guy like Hamler sitting on our practice squad with speed. You also got Shenault in FA. And Palmer has shown he gets separation downfield. Do you honestly believe some random 4th round pick is the answer to a question that Brady seems to have answered? If he just wanted a guy with speed last year he could have elevated one and didn’t
  8. We’ll see what the kid has. It wasn’t a good draft for WRs. I continue to laugh at folks who complain about not helping Josh by not drafting some WR in mid rounds when we already have guys on the reserve squad like that. We improved the WR room with Palmer and by extending Shakir. Biggest priority now shifts to Cook and his contract.
  9. Always want us to draft a big tub of goo. He may not be as gooey as I hoped but seems like he’ll be a solid contributor.
  10. I was only 9 years old but I was there at the Rockpile!
  11. Not shocking in any way.
  12. Don’t know who’s be first, but I’d definitely put myself last. I don’t have near the knowledge of all the nuances that would go into evaluating players
  13. I’d take Lofton in his Packer years. He was a little older with us. One of the problems with these kinds of questions is that there are so many folks here who haven’t seen the guys from years ago. Those who saw Jerry Butler play would understand why I’d pick him.
  14. Reed to me established the slot receiver position in the NFL. My thought was having a guy who lined up outside and represented more of a deep threat. Jerry Butler would be perfect for that. Duby would fit that as well. Moulds too.
  15. Drafting an RB in the first 2 rounds to replace Cook.
  16. One of the hardest things in sports is how to identify a head coach (football, basketball, hockey) or manager (baseball, soccer). In football, most times a coordinator is raised up to HC, assuming success as a coordinator transfers to success as HC. That seems to work maybe, at best, around a third of a time. But the only way you find out is to give a guy a shot. McDaniel seems to be a classic example of a guy that was a good coordinator but tops out there. Peter principal hits again.
  17. Jerry Butler would have been known as the best WR in Bills history had he not gotten hurt. He would be ideal. Duby would be my second choice, would definitely stretch the field.
  18. Quite true! That’s why I always advocate for drafting a big tub of goo for the D line.
  19. Ham was similar but Lambert played MLB. So many folks talk about wanting a bigger MLB but Lambert was small and mean!
  20. Just an awful thing to hear. We need to look out for each other.
  21. Marv Levy should not be in the HOF.
  22. Thanks! Had a senior moment there.
