  1. Taron Johnson plays the run well. So does Cam Lewis if Rapp is out. So does Poyer. And Spector played well for Dodson last week. If guys are out then make Joseph active. With him and Daquan et al up front we should play the run just fine.
  2. I think our D has been playing great and will continue to do so. And we can run as well. But Josh will also be able to throw still. It won’t be the normal package but he’ll make throws. Bills fans are programmed to see the bad in things.
  3. Peyton kidded about having a laser, rocket arm. Josh HAS a laser, rocket arm.
  4. Relax. Terrified? Let’s have a bit of perspective
  5. Josh being Josh the Bills can still have a passing game threat. Steelers don’t have that. Plus our D has been playing really good football. We’ll be fine.
  6. Helluva run even though he cheated.
  7. Ball had to be thrown in the end zone with no TOs. If it’s complete a TD, incomplete you kick the FG. Nobody open throw it away and take the FG. In playoff football you take points when you can get them.
  8. Many times Josh is compared to Favre, gunslinger, takes chances, etc. I hope Josh turns out better than Favre. As great as Favre was he won just 1 SB and cost the Pack and Vikings shots at going to the dance in 2007 and 2009 with ill advised late picks. At least it seems that if Josh throws picks he does so earlier in games and not in crunch time. The guy is money in crunch time. I am certain we win at least one with Josh and hope for more than that.
  9. Mcafee is not actually employed by Disney but Disney purchased the right to air his show for a pretty penny. Iger is not a stupid guy. He can’t allow ESPN to engage in potential character assassination on a show under the Disney umbrella, particularly when it is one of Disney’s actual employees (Kimmel). I get McAfee likes having Rogers on because he’s so outrageous, but that can only go so far.
  10. If I’m correct we did not come away with points 3 out of 4 times in the red zone in the first half. Offense as a whole has to do better than that.
  11. Should we in your opinion take seriously comments from guys that have played the position in the NFL?
  12. Not sure why either. I tend to believe guys that have played the game and this week both Kurt Warner and Rich Gannon have talked about the game, how great Josh was in the second half but also mistakes he made in the first half. No one hates Josh, at least no one with an ounce of sense. Things get said on the in game thread out of emotion and frustration sure, but in the end everyone loves having him as our QB. But no player should be immune to criticism.
  13. The Steelers are going to try and run it all day Sunday and have the tools to do it. The D has to continue its excellent recent play.
  14. As I said earlier he was phenomenal on the second half. All Bills fans love Josh but when he makes a mistake he is open to critique like any other player.
  15. Dude, my comment was meant to be tongue in cheek, but the way you jump right to the defense of Allen says it all.
  16. I wish I had your talent with the pen (or keyboard), Shaw. A perfect encapsulation of my feelings. I don’t mind any of the color guys on any of the telecasts. And the return will live long in Bills history.
  17. Let me make a suggestion or two. First, let’s all agree to ignore in game posts or at least take them with a large grain of salt. For example at one point in the first half yesterday I posted they should just sit Josh down and have him get his head out of his butt. That’s simply emotion mixed with frustration. Obviously I would never want to sit the franchise. My second suggestion would be to list the players on the roster and note which are open to either positive or negative critique on the board. For example, is Gabe Davis allowed to be praised at all, like when he wipes out two guys on a block that springs Shakir for a big gain? Can we criticize Cook for dropping an easy pass while praising him for good runs? Is Spencer Brown ever allowed praise? Josh as we see in this thread might be on the can’t criticize list. We also might want to set an upper or lower limit on the time before and after a guy can be critiqued, both short and long term. Short term I might suggest until the next game. Long term? Maybe at least two years into a guy’s career at minimum. Bernard would be an excellent example for that. I think if we all agree to some guidelines like these it would help the board.
  18. We’ll miss Davis. Big part of the run game and weather is supposed to be rough. I’m worried he may have an ACL.
  19. I had to live through the 70’s. Any Bills fans from that era hate the Fish with a passion.
