  1. Pressure is always going to be the #1 way to throw off a good QB, but it's not the only way. Confusing looks, taking away primary receiving options, coverage shifts from zone to man or vice versa, etc. can each be effective.
  2. I'm disappointed that we have been blown out in 3 of 4 games. I thought this team would have more fire than what we've seen.
  3. There are also future HOFers who have produced from Day 1. There are many ways to develop a franchise QB, but the path the Bills have chosen is concerning.
  4. Different era, comparisons are moot. Aikman threw more than 20 TDs ONCE in his career.
  5. Yes, this is an appropriate strategy against all QBs in the league.
  6. Yeah, he just needs to feel the pressure, read defenses quicker, protect the football and throw with consistent accuracy. Easy as pie!
  7. No changes to the coaching staff in 2018. In the meantime, feed Shady the ball. In 2019, go crazy in the draft and load up on playmakers.
  8. Ruined? No, but I think his development stalls out if you don't get some pieces around him.
  9. He had a good game, no doubt, but it was a Captain Checkdown offense where 70% of his passing numbers came from YAC. This is going to be a tough one for Beane to solve in 2019. You've only got so many dollars and draft picks, and they can't all go to the offense. #trusttheprocess
  10. He has 29 touches this season. That is hogwash. He may not be a great player anymore, but he's still a good one. Give him the ball and he'll make plays.
  11. In Minnesota, we saw the flashes that could make Allen an elite franchise QB. In Green Bay, we saw the flashes that could make Allen a colossal bust. Yes, he certainly didn't get much help, but it was painfully obvious that he sucked today. Burn the tape and move on to Tennessee.
  12. Interesting approach. You disagree with my statement, which is a statistical fact, and proceed to call me a PMSing woman short on tampons, a hateful buckwheat and miserable Internet poster. Very mature.
  13. Allen is bigger, but more athletic? That's just fluff. Mahomes is very mobile, both in the pocket and on bootlegs. Neither guy is a power runner like Cam, nor are they as agile and quick as Wilson, but I think they both bring plenty to the table.
  14. He's had major shoulder injuries for years, of course he's not 100%. The guy couldn't even throw a football until 2 months ago. The bigger question - will he ever return to pre-injury form? Time will tell.
  15. More of a snapper or sole place. If you're on the west side of the city, it's worth the trip.
  16. Pacific Cafe in Richmond District. Excellent seafood. ...and don't call it San Fran around the locals
  17. Of course they are, especially if you want talk about "Stats" and "Josh Allen" together. Never mind that two of the most analytics heavy teams just played in the Super Bowl.
  18. We can't prove it either way. It's an impossible scenario to replicate. This is like the old "Sammy vs OBJ" threads from BBMB, creating fantasyland "what if's?" for each player that can never be tested. All I know is this....Mahomes success is so incredible because it has never been done before.
  19. By all accounts, he has the confidence and swagger that you want from a QB. If his teammates had concerns, the 13 TDs might have changed their mind.
  20. $20 million for 2.5 games of Sam Bradford. Nice move AZ.
  21. There is zero evidence to suggest that Mahomes doesn't have tremendous "intangibles".
  22. It's not 3 great games. It's 3 absolutely mind blowing games. He is in uncharted territory and outpacing what Manning and Brees did in their best seasons. Of course he'll slow down. He's not going to throw 70 TDs this year, but he might throw 40+. Insane for a second year player. I find it hysterical that this board is so quick to diminish Mahomes accomplishments while propping up Allen for one game where he played Cpt Checkdown.
