  1. Players of Bell's caliber do not become available often. If the Bills are serious about surrounding Allen with premier talent, then you have to go after him.
  2. We all recognize that the supporting cast needs improvement. The "unimaginative calls", you need an appropriate scheme AND talent. I'm not sold on Daboll, but he's trying to make chicken salad out of chicken, well, you know. Allen made some good throws, but he needs to develop more consistency throwing the ball. It's 2018, you have elite QBs throwing for 70% completion and 9 YPA. His running ability (he's more Tebow than Russel Wilson or Cam Newton) is a "nice to have".
  3. Allen has stats like 2011 Tim Tebow. Not ideal, but it is what it is. Give me more of those bombs to Foster, because that was sickkkkkkkkkkk
  4. Taken from Mammoth Mtn. Lots of volcanic activity in both California and the Carolinas.
  5. When I first saw the Smokies, I thought "Gee, these look just like the High Sierra!" Or was it the Cascades? Those volcanoes are pretty sweet. Nah, that can't be it. I mean, there are dozens of mountain ranges in California, each very different than another. But yeah, let's go with that, they are "topographically similar".
  6. This comes up all the time, and it's not going to happen. First, think about the scale. It's millions of acres annually that would need to be mitigated, and that's often in rough country. Second, think about the cost. You want to fund this public money? Good luck. You think the timber companies are chomping at the bit to take out scrub brush, pine and aspen from rough country, and if they were, would we let them? Third, weather is simply too big of a variable outside of our control. The Santa Ana winds in CA are a perfect example. You can prepare all you'd like, but when someone throws a spark into a bone dry area with single digit humidity and 40 mph winds, it's going to burn.
  7. LOL - yeah, still not even close. Just keep on digging bud.
  8. Spoken like someone who has never visited CA, or even looked at a map of it. CA cannot be described in generic terms. It covers nearly every biome in existence.
  9. Yawn. Sounds like you're taking Bill O'Reilly's viewpoint? This is the price of freedom.
  10. The bouncer was the first person shot. I guess there should have been two? There are no easy answers, but that doesn't mean we should shy away from it. Dealing with it, in my opinion, means a combination of security improvements, mental health resources, enforcement of existing laws, and yes, changes to existing firearm rules and regulations. The onion nailed it years ago: ‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens
  11. I'm just chuckling at everyone describing their gun skillz and knowledge. I'll be writing my representatives and telling them to prioritize ways to ensure that 12 people don't get shot when they're hanging out at a bar. Will you?
  12. I'm not sold on trading down, there may not be appropriate value, either from the other team or leaving a talented prospect on the board. Either way, they have to nail some drafts. The odds of taking a 10.5 PPG offense and turning it around in a season are slim.
  13. I would start by visiting some nice coffee houses locally. You need to know what you like first! It's like wine, there are all sorts of notes you can taste in good coffee. The french press isn't rocket science. Learn to use it! Anyway, my #1 would be Ka'u Peaberry. That was a once a week treat.
  14. You're going to be waiting a long time for that fix to happen. There will always be roster holes. The key is to have talented players at critical positions. To me, you need a top tier QB, an elite playmaker at WR/RB, a second "really good" playmaker WR/RB/TE, and a slightly above average line. You can win with that.
  15. This offense is disgusting. It's much easier to cope with that reality by convincing yourself they are doing it on purpose. If it was true, then I have zero faith they will ever build a championship contender. Of course, they aren't doing this on purpose. They are just that bad.
  16. We didn't go often, but we had an "A ha!" moment the last time we went to a Mongolian grill. They are absolutely disgusting.
  17. I hear you. During the game, he may not be involved as much as he is in the offense, but I'd bet he is a big part of their defensive gameplan during the week. I just don't see how any coach can effectively ignore one side of the ball. It's like those old Buddy Ryan tales of how he hated offense and got bored whenever they had to practice. No matter, it's not like they gave up 104 sacks in a season.
  18. Yeah, is that a fact? Anything? I think it's kind of foolish to assume that great coaches don't manage all phases of their team. Wade is a tremendous defensive coach, but I don't think he runs the show. If Mcdermott took that kind of attitude with the offense, it would be a major red flag.
  19. It's OK, we have free agency and the NFL Draft to fix everything!
  20. Rex was a known commodity that had been trending in the wrong direction for years. I certainly have very reasonable concerns with the direction Beane and Mcdermott are taking the team, but they need a reasonable amount of time to execute their plan. I've said it dozens of times, it's all about building a consistent championship contender. We've got a defense that is trending toward that goal, but the offense needs to follow suit. They are historically bad right now, and it needs a major overhaul fast.
