  1. Sounds like "trust the system" . Our system incarcerates more citizens, per capita, than any other industrialized country.
  2. All NFL coaches are psychos, some more so that others. I wouldn't expect it any other way.
  3. Yes, this list is focused on the developed and wealthy countries. That makes it even more damning, but if you want to compare our rates to countries mired in civil war or rampant corruption, like Syria or Venezuela, be my guest. With ~29% of the worlds wealth, we have the means to create immense change within the criminal justice system, yet our incarceration, recidivism and "death by cop" rates are downright atrocious. We can do better.
  4. Here you go: https://www.prisonpolicy.org/blog/2020/06/05/policekillings/ Look at Japan....two deaths a year!
  5. US police kill far more civilians annually than any other country, both by total and per capita. An inconvenient truth, but one we need to confront. I love this action by the NBA teams, as there is no way to misconstrue their message. Its clear as gin - change is required!
  6. It's an online forum - the perfect place for speculation! I find it reasonable to speculate that NFL team employees, even in the best of times, are in an extremely stressful & demanding environment, and I doubt they are getting much slack during COVID (Sales & Marketing have always had a "Produce, No Matter What" culture).
  7. Some mix of burnout and unwavering expectations during a very unprecedented time in our history.
  8. COVID has brought many challenges to the standard employee. Kids at home, kitchen table offices, digital learning support for children, minimal in person meetings with colleagues, etc. etc. Some employers understand this, some, not so much. This may not be a Pegula problem, but a common theme across all NFL teams, which have always been a "no excuses" and "championship or bust" environment. I'm not shocked a NFL team shows little to no empathy to our new normal.
  9. Geezus, that franchise needs to be nuked from orbit. They don't deserve to end up with players like Chase Young.
  10. The first episode was quite dull. QBs couldn't even throw the ball! Mcvay comes across as a bit of a lunatic, but I think players love him. He's clearly shown he can build explosive offenses.
  11. I don't think it's "make or break", but I do think we get to see what the ceiling looks like. The flaws & limitations he displays in December are the ones he'll largely have the rest of his career.
  12. There's a big difference between you hitting 100 on the wide open Thruway, and a driver topping 200 with cars along side them at Talladega. Most mentally taxing? No, but it is nothing to scoff. World class drivers are big time athletes.
  13. Might be better in a separate thread...but I'm curious what championship contenders are "A few elites, and then JAGs" rosters? Maybe the Seahawks, but I don't think that's the case with the Saints, 49ers, Chiefs, Cowboys, Ravens, Eagles or Vikings. The Bills do have many good to great players, and Mcdermott is able to create a better sum than its parts. Maybe Edmunds, Dion, Diggs or Josh can join Tre in the "top guys" party soon. Great signing - I'm a fan!
  14. He's not going anywhere, but since we're in trade fantasyland, let's go with Tre & Josh for Mahomes. Straight up.
  15. I expect these type of threads in June, not January. The offseason is hitting us hard.
  16. His Buffalo interviews were so lighthearted and dare I say, normal. The league is better with Marshawn in it. I hope he returns!
  17. Edibles aren't that challenging. Beginners should start with a 5-10mg piece and wait 2 hours. If you want to go on a lengthy magic carpet ride, go ahead and eat the whole chocolate bar.
  18. A few favorites: Cool bars: Cooper Lounge, Cruise Room, My Brothers Bar, Millers & Rossi, El Chapultepec Good booze: Crooked Stave, Zuni Street, Stem Cider, Denver Beer, Epic Good food: TTW, Blue Pan, Syrup, Linger, Sushi Den, Pizzeria Locale, Milk Market (several restaurants inside) Local attractions: Botanical Gardens, Museum of Science, Art museum, Zoo, Sloans Lake Short drive attractions: Red Rocks, Coors, Boulder Mtn Park, downtown Boulder. 1-2 hour drive attractions: Black Hawk casinos, New Belgium brewery, Echo Lake or RMNP (bring snowshoes) , skiing at numerous mountains Also, edibles.
  19. We can pay Shaq, Jordan and Yannick. We have a quality QB making pennies. This is the time that you spend / trade like crazy and stack the team!
  20. How would he not be a fit? You can't have too many pass rushers. Let's get him!
  21. Got any links to expected single game prices? I haven't seen anything credible to date.
  22. Assuming he continues to progress as a passer, his rushing attempts will naturally decline. I don't think you ever want to take away the threat of running though, he's deadly in the option game.
