  1. Tell me about all the other mobile QBs that are protected at satisfactory levels.
  2. Doubleback or Brown Sugar. ZZ Top is a top 3 concert, saw them at Erie county fair about 12 years ago. They paused during the La Grange solo just to stroke their beards for the crowd.
  3. Broncos fan are such chronic whiners. You'd think the team has been trash for decades. Chubb was an excellent LB last year, how could you not be happy with 12 sacks as a rookie? His injury does suck, hope he comes back to form next year.
  4. Yawn. Let me guess, the league will "figure it out"? The media and fans love to overhype "revolutionary" offenses and concepts, when they are often minor tweaks. McCay runs the old Kubiak/Shanahan scheme with a few jet sweeps. Kingsbury's Air Raid isn't much different than the spread out, 4 WR sets we have seen in New England, and New Orleans for years. RPOs are all the new wave, but they rarely create chunk yardage due to the short time & space realities. Roman has created an ideal situation for Lamar, but that doesn't make it novel. Wake me up if somebody wants to build an offense around a modified A-11 or Army triple option.
  5. A mobile QB isn't new, nor are Greg Roman's concepts. You're diminishing his accomplishments to date, as well as his opportunity to improve. Talent like Jackson doesn't come into the league often. Sit back and enjoy it.
  6. Wilson was a quality QB early in his career, but he wasn't torching teams with his arm. Now he can. He runs much less than he used but still remains a premier dual threat. Let's cut Lamar some slack. He's at ~16 games and looks unreal in year 2. To call him a novelty is a joke. Of course not, that's what makes him unique. We haven't seen as many explosive runs from Josh in 2019. If that's a result of playcalling, defensive spys, minimizing the powerback role, I don't know, but I don't see the point of having him take those big hits if he's getting you 4-5 yards. He's a big guy, but those hits add up.
  7. I think Lamar will be more like Russel Wilson long term. He has the speed and elusiveness to get to the sideline after picking up the first. The 40 yard dashes between the tackles are awesome, but not sustainable.
  8. Allen runs like Cam and Tebow, which is a long term concern. You can't have your QB playing power back. He should run like Lamar and juke people out of their cleats ?
  9. Jon Gruden slowly turning into a strawberry was a pretty good take. It wasn't my favorite site, but they weren't afraid to stir the pot. I hope they return!
  10. Let me know when Josh throws for 350 yards and 6 TDs in a game. I think Mitch took alot of crap for a pretty good sophomore campaign. It's too bad he's taken a major step back this year.
  11. Sure, but I just don't see the point of Josh running if there aren't big plays to be had. He took over games last year with his legs.
  12. Gore looked his age yesterday. That didn't help on those interior runs. There are no easy answers to the 3rd quarter lulls, so I'll blame it on playcalling and execution. If we're whining about playcalling, where are the explosive Allen runs? He hasn't broke a 20+ yarder all season. There's no use calling his number if he'll get you 4 yards and a cloud of dust.
  13. 300+ yards is a pretty low bar to hit. Let's stop pretending it's daunting. Washington is in full dumpster fire mode and makes a great candidate for Josh to torch.
  14. The reporter seems like a prick who goes out of his way to stir the pot. Baker should know better. He's in a major sophomore slump, but long term, I still believe he'll develop into a top tier player. The ability is there. He set the rookie TD record last year for a reason.
  15. If I had a nickel for every "Josh is still developing...." comment ? We know he is. Can he put together a complete game along the way?
  16. We will not get anywhere going through NE's trash heap. He was last good in 2013!
  17. I know we throw around "potential" and "ceiling" far too often, but I'm looking forward to the type of player Lamar becomes. He's a monster and the biggest playmaker among the 2018 QBs.
  18. I'd be interested in the 5 year W/L record for QBs who throw for 300+ yards and 0 TDs. A few weeks ago, Goff had a 500 yard game he lost, but I don't think his situation compares to Josh. He has plenty of monster games on his resume. We get some more cannon fodder opponents in November, lets see if he can make it happen.
  19. So many "what ifs...." and excuses in this thread. I want to see it. 300 yards isn't even that high of a bar. Tim Tebow did it in his 2nd start!
  20. Is this really that controversial of a take? Geezus. Luckily, he should be able to feast on some sushi this Sunday. 350 yards and 3 TDs should push him up a few slots!
