  1. I don't know what to make of this team, but as my wife said, who cares? A win is a win.
  2. Sanders is still playing great football. DT is trending down. He has lost all explosiveness and can't catch a cold.
  3. 70% of his passing yards came from YAC. His teammates were putting plenty on their backs.
  4. Sure, I'll get right on that. A few more passing TDs and consistent 60%+ completion will help.
  5. Yawn. Let's just build the statue for Josh and get it over with.
  6. My goodness, this place cracks me up. 2.5 games. Take a lap dudes.
  7. Good performance. I wasn't blown away with some of the throws, but hey, he made 'em when he had to. I had some crow with lunch today. The O-line played better than expected, the scheme got him some great looks, and the playmakers will killing it with YAC. There will be many bumps in the road for him. He needs to continue improving and things will work out.
  8. Never bet on the team you love, or the team you hate. I'd have an overnight bag packed and ready, just in case.
  9. I've heard this take quite a bit. "Wait until they get tape on them!". Sure, a defense can give you more complex looks, but if you're dealing with a QB who can stays calm and throws absolute lasers, not sure how you really combat that. You can limit them, but you can't shut them down.
  10. Yeah, that was pretty phenomenal. I know everyone has been drooling over Allen's howitzer, but Mayfield has a bazooka. His passes have some serious zip, and he knows when to throw it on a rope and when to arc it in. It's rare to see a QB come in and show tremendous vision and "throw them open" accuracy, but he did it. Good for Cleveland. They've got a tier tier prospect. Yeah, me too! It seems strange that the Dolphins only put him on these really short routes. The guy has been very agile and explosive for years. While he may not be a guy you throw 50 yard bombs too, he certainly can do way more than catch 5 yard ins.
  11. 500 yards and 5 TDs. Duh. What are we even talking about now? The original point of the article was that Allen has very little proven support around him, and that will likely play a factor in his development.
  12. Every year we go through this. Pick the position, X prospect will fail because they are not big enough, strong enough or fast enough for the pro game. There are Day 1 impact rookies every year. When guys like OBJ, Von Miller or Joey Bosa come in and light up the stat sheet in their first game, it's not because they had 5 months of NFL training. It's because they are phenomenal players, period. If Alabama played Buffalo right now, I'd say....38-9 Buffalo.
  13. Geez Shaw. First the "Allen will be better than Mahomes in Year 2" comment, now this one? I didn't know they put Kool Aid in kegs!
  14. You must have hit your head on the bathroom mirror. Lay down and take a nap.
  15. Whatever his ceiling is, Mahomes will hit it MUCH faster with the environment created in Kansas City. That environment will be damn near impossible to replicate, but they have truly done everything possible to make sure he'll be a star. Allen will also grow in his role, but he'll plateau and stall out until we get additional support around him. Let's stop with the Dale Carnegie bull ****. This not about how "driven" someone is to succeed, that will only take you so far in a talent filled league. If you want to be an elite QB, you need other positions to show up and help you out.
  16. What all things revolve around in the US of A. Cold hard cash! 2001 Miami was arguably the most talented roster ever fielded. 70% of that roster was eventually drafted, including 17 first round picks. If they gave Portis, McGahee and Gore 20 carries each, they might stand a chance!
  17. In a perfect scenario, ex. 2001 Miami Hurricanes Vs 2008 Detroit Lions, I think it could be closer than expected. Just relegate the bottom feeders to play the National Champs and see what happens!
  18. It has been 1.5 games. I don't think he has really showed anything concrete. Going against the Minnesota defensive buzzsaw, I'm expecting it to get ugly, but stranger things have happened. Is he both physically and mentally tough? Sure, but as I said before, he's a top 10 pick, it comes with the territory. If he was sulking on the sideline, it would be a huge red flag. As the season progresses, it's doubtful there will be a significant uptick in support along the OL, or with his playmakers. The roster is what it is and I expect McD and Beane to roll with what we have.
  19. He did a little better when we asked him to give the ball to 3 HOFers
  20. This is not about growing or stepping up. This is about become a top tier franchise QB and if the Bills have created the right environment for that goal. He's a top 10 pick. Isn't it assumed that he is resilient, driven and tough as nails? I believe Allen is all of those things, but those will not be the primary reason he succeeds or fails.
