  1. Called yesterday, and rather than offer any type of discount or "free" service, they cancelled it. And I even had to threaten to not pay (debit card just expired and they didnt have new card info yet) just to get it cancelled, as last year I called to cancel but they did not cancel and by the time I realized it was "too late" and there is "no record" of me trying to cancel it. Fine with me really, as I am in the Bills market, but I have never had a good experience on the phone with DTV in 8 years. They don't do what they say they will, leave you on hold for entirely too long, and just try to up-sell rather than solve your problems. Not to mention $250 for football programming is 1st degree highway robbery as far as I'm concerned.
  2. I fail to recognize the correlation between trading away 2 recognizable young talents and positive marketing. Signing Boldin, ok... That could be construed as marketing, but that's not what people are talking about.
  3. The supreme court has ruled, and reaffirmed, there is no exception in the first amendment for "hate speech". These kkk neo-nazi guys are a pile of ****, and I think they should be shot (my protected opinion), but we don't get to decide what other people think or say in America. The rally did not get shut down because of speech, it got shut down because of violence. Unfortunately, many people, pundits, and counter-organizations are trying to blur the distinction and make it seem as if speech is in itself violence. It is not.
  4. Sad. You must be real bored trying to rile people up around here, but it is working; so I will give you that. Who am I to piss in your cheerios? Seems like you probably like pissy cheerios. As for the thread/post, I really don't care what the 27 Rams fans think about the trade. Everyone around here seems very concerned what other fans think, and I really wonder why that is. We would beat them up in the stadium, but somehow their internet opinions are prophetic and substansial?
  5. I actually agree, and I feel like that is the plan. Just seems like that is right where Terry and Kim are, they need to let the vision play out. If Rex wouldn't have been such a blowhard, he probably would have gotten 4 years too.
  6. Gotta love these "pain management" injuries. Basically a barometer of how much someone wants to play. If he plays, good for him, if not he's a pansy. Like tapping to strikes in MMA.
  7. If that is actually his post (I dont do the twitter thing), those comment are another demonstration of the elitist mentality held by athletes and other famous people. I, for one; would HATE to be a famous person, especially and athlete. Other than the money, it has to be one of the worst jobs you can get, plus it's a short term career, and you have huge expectations. For someone like me, who truly doesn't worship the almighty dollar, these comments don't resonate. He comes off as a spoiled elitist. I hear enough of that from hollywood and the media. When you get your self-worth from something like football, and then your career is over, what do you have left? To each his own, so they say. To quote Chan "that's why Baskin Robbins has 31 different flavors", but I don't expect some kid who plays a game for a living talking down to working blue collar folks who truly support the country to a point of such exorbitant comfort that we can pay millions to football players, etc... Those comments make me dislike him, but I would not expect a vast divergence among his contemporaries. It is an American epidemic right now.
  8. Been hearing that for years. Hope it's true this time.
  9. Well if we manage to get a franchise qb, then any trail of destruction left along the way will justified. That "if" is just so unbelievably large. The more I think about it, the more sensible this seems. Really disheartening seeing them seemingly give up this year, though. I know Matthews has been ok, but I also know what a healthy SW is like. We could end up being the genius' if he continues to be injury prone, but it's tough to see a guy with that much talent go. At least its the Rams, and not some divisional or even conference opponent.
  10. Haha this is true. 6-10 or 7-9 just never yields that generational talent. We have "near-missed" alot of elite and/or possible future HOFers. Not to say we actually would have made the right picks, but we are always in that "upper lower class" range and end up with the 10th pick. Problem with tanking is you could swing and miss with so so much on the line. At least we don't have the lottery so the #@%ing league can give Connor freaking McDavid to their darling Edmontonians.
  11. Bingo And just the title of the thread makes me throw up a little in my mouth.
  12. Great thread. I'm not sure I agree on the level of importance, bht I enjoyed reading the OP. I hope Sean works out to be one of those coaches that everyone inherently trusts, but that takes consistent success. Only time will tell.
  13. Here is my "bs in between" answer: I like them but feel we could have gotten more for SW.
  14. Would not surprise me if he got those targets yesterday BECAUSE he was being traded.
  15. I lost any thoughts of being good this year last night..... This is the first year I probably wont go to a game. Not boycotting or anything, but I am genuinely not excited at all for the season.
  16. Especially given tbe fact that TT will miss time. Nothing behind him inspires confidence.
  17. Wll said. I am fine with it really. When McD and Beane were hired it was made clear this is a long term plan.
  18. True. But I think it's two-fold: either TT or Shady and its official.
  19. I pretty sure that trading young talent to stockpile picks is the definition of modern NFL tanking. See CLE
  20. Trading our young talent? What the heck is going on? Let the attack begin...
  21. I get the sentiment, OP. It's so pathetic at this point I don't even care. Sully is an antique in a modern social media feeding frenzy, and is just trying to keep his head above water. Sure his views are rediculous and not based on facts or reason, but his credibility is so low that I have a hard time getting fired up about his stuff.
  22. Keep 'em coming. Some people like hearing different takes on what happen. It forces good football conversation. Shaw did his legendary rockpile review, too.... And thats great! Oh my! You wasted critical board real estate with the "repetitive" thread. So what? If you continue to post them, I will continue to read them. Good stuff in there imo.
  23. Gillis-who? I think it's quite obvious that our strengths are the o and d lines, and RBs. Tolbert and Jwill were both fun to watch last night and will likely play large roles this year. Regardless of what Shady wants, he should not be getting 20+ carries if we expect him to last all year unscathed. And yeah, Tolberts blocking alone will get him on the field in critical situations.
