  1. Michaels: "sometimes I think the Patriots have better Bills players than the Bills do"
  2. That's a fair assessment. The fact is the in stadium experience is giving way to the home experience because of it. If I'm going to be forced to sit relatively quietly, don't swear much, and don't stand, all while sitting on a horrendous metal bench; I would rather watch at home on my couch, with better food, better beer, and I didn't have to drive my 12mpg truck 90 miles and spend 300 bucks. And I can talk all the **** I want, as loud as I want, even if it's directed at the tv... The benefit of going to the stadium used to be the party, atmosphere, and hostility towards visiting fans/players. It's certainly not to get a better view (lets be frank, there are alot of bad seats at the Ralph). I didn't even notice how crappy the benches were because I was rarely using them. Not trying to complain, but from my perspective it's just kind of uncomfortable and boring. You can keep the fantasy tickers, luxury boxes, 4 jumbotrons, and thought police; I wish I could still have a good time.
  3. Everything you said is true. That said, I think the "calm" has killed it for me. For a few years now, you can't even stand up. They only let you stand if you are "celebrating a big play", but then you have to quickly return to your seats. Makes me feel like a kid in the auditorium in elementary school when you constantly get bothered by the security to "sit down".
  4. There is nothing they could do. A big win against the Jets proves almost nothing, given the state of their franchise. I would not be surprised if the Jets win or at least cover the spread though. Nothing is certain at this point in the year, and McCown has been around and could have a great game and/or stretch of games like Fitz did 2 years ago.
  5. We could learn that lesson from Washington. They had "flash in the pan" rg3, and once he fizzled, the only thing keeping them competitive, to this day is the second qb they drafted that year.
  6. Yessss I was hoping this would make it here. Has been a yearly tradition for quite a while now.
  7. I agree on Cardale and Zay. I actually think Boldin would be at least serviceable, but that doesn't matter now. He is retired, and retired for good whether he likes it or not; he will not play for the Bills and they won't release his rights.
  8. I am certainly not a kid, and because of it have been hearing "relax, give it time" and "we are on the right track" for a score of years. Two decades. Forgive me if I'm no longer giving out the benefit of the doubt. I know how to work hard for what you want, and the "enjoy the rewards", but also know working hard does not guarantee success. Or anything close to it. Show me the baby.
  9. I think alot of the trades have been questionable from a compensation standpoint, but am generally ok with them... I didn't even cry when Reilly was cut. J-Will being cut is the big head-scratcher for me. Just don't get it. Must have not "bought in" or whatever. I don't know if McBean will work out, but I hope they don't end up like Chip Kelly and Josh McDaniels. We don't need another 5 year setback like that.
  10. Lol At you, not the post, for adding yourself to the list of posters who believe you are better because you were a member longer. That narrative is just as laughable and unjustified as the other things you complain about.
  11. So now we "respect" lying and PR over actions? Not me. Be honest, tell it like it is. I lose all respect for someone when they are disingenuous. And lets not pretend he didn't say that because he didn't want to offend the Bills. He did it because he knew he could get some positive PR in the process of jumping ship. He didn't even do a good job of hiding it.
  12. Fits their adgenda
  13. I could actually see that happening. If we were a team in the playoff mix, maybe the rest of the NFL would whine, but the Bills? That's like throwing an old dog a bone. Realistically though, it would be a neutral site as close to Charlotte as logistically possible, like when we played a "home" game vs the jets in detroit a few years ago.
  14. No surprise. Obviously the whole civil right bs was just that, BS... And mighty convenient timing I might add.
  15. Very strange indeed, Royale. And it's a good thing you went with Royale with cheese, otherwise our over-the-pond friends wouldn't know what the **** you were, you know, with the metric system and all......
  16. True story. Contrary to what the WN, kkk, or antifa believe, this IS a free country with freedom of expression. Especially unpopular views, which is why it's there. I don't tell people what to say or think, because I surely don't expect them to tell me what to think and say.
  17. I don't like it, or agree with the grandstanding aspect of it. I find it disrespectful and quite frankly they are misappropriating their protest to "America", when they should be more focussed on crooked cops and the kkk, neither of which represent America. That said, this is America. If you want to sit for the anthem, fine. It's your right, and I encourage people to do what they believe is right. But I reserve my right to hate you for it.
  18. My understanding as well. All has to do with tenure. You "cut" them, and they either hit waivers or don't depending on it. Some more info per PFT on the difference, and vested veteran rules as well: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/08/30/vested-veterans-wholl-be-cut-will-get-to-pick-their-next-team/
  19. Agreed. It is also important to mention the McD surely knows alot more about TT than we do. Concussions can take a while in certain curcumstances, but the vast majority allow a player to be active in less than 15 days (from concussion to opener). I think who plays tonight will tell us alot more about TT's status than "what we have in our coach" as previously mentioned.
  20. I can't believe you are actually defending this ludicrous narrative. Or believe it. Obviously, after 17 years of suck, alienating the Bills fanbase is a fools errand. I'm starting to think satire. Either satire or stupid, which is it?
  21. Yes, of course. Vlad ducasse= massive clandestine conspiracy to undermine the Bills. I just don't get why, the Bills seem to be very effective at sucking without help.
  22. I don't disbelieve the OP's story or that a former player might think that. But at the same time I don't see how a former player (who isn't dealing with McD any more than we are), knows something we don't. Being his opinion is fine, but I just don't value anybodys opinion on the matter and am willing to let it play out. That's from someone who is very skeptical about the return we have gotten from recent trades (myself). Fact is, we don't know how it will turn out, but I respect the honest attempt at a legitimate rebuild. Too many half assed, win-kinda-now-but-still-rebuild years and need a real foundation if we want a build something big. Overzealous, cap cuffing, "big splash" signings are a thing of the past and that is refreshing. I am going to "trust the process", but I might mumble and groan along the way.
  23. You watch too many movies. Lol
  24. So your argument is essentially "why did they disrespect him after he disrespected them?", and that since you are super duper important with a big paycheck too and got away with it, he should too? And if Marcell is aiming to be treated like an adult, perhaps he should begin to act like one. Exactly. They are saying with their actions "my time is more important than yours". Some people care about that stuff. It matters whether you do what you say you are going to do.
  25. Sometimes I wonder if you are sincerely a nice, albiet ignorant person... ...or pretending to be nice so you can sneek in jabs. I'm going with the latter, but I guess I won't rule out sheer ignorance, GBfan2010
