Cole Beasley is a rapper who happens to play football
Heavy Kevi replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whenever someone is making music that is real and about their life, I can respect that. This was not bad for me though I generally dislike rap. New country too... Both rap and country these days would be much better if they wrote songs about their life, as opposed to what they want you to think their life is like. Fake ass country boys and gangstas alike will fade into obscurity. People will listen to Hank Williams and Tupac Shakur forever. -
[edited title] Robert Foster, UDFA - Roster shot?

We could also use some help on the interior D-line... ...I wonder if Michael Jasper is still available? -
Don't answer the phone ever again
Heavy Kevi replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Many carriers and OS's are doing that. My Pixel XL2 screen turns red and says 'suspected spam caller". You can get apps that will automatically turn down/block spam calls, or even ones that will have your phones robot talk to them and try to waste their time. Spam calling is making a comeback... And it sucks. Putting yourself on the DNC (do not call list) just doesn't do anything anymore. -
I don't agree with this. I mean I know Gilmore was/is good in NE, but just like Dareus he didn't want to play here and put in no effort. He would not have played the same here, especially since the only way to keep him would have been the tag. Surely you watched Gilmore his last year in Buffalo, deliberately not tackling or fighting for the ball. Would not hit a ball carrier because he was afraid to get hurt. Unfortunately, Gilmore's game is all about "want to". He is almost always in the perfect position, but he has to be motivated to play the player, fight for the ball, or tackle/hit the receiver. Problem is, he didn't "want to" when he was here, particularly the last year.

Who's excited for rookie minicamp tomorrow?
Heavy Kevi replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always am excited to see the rooks in practice for the first time. Until training camp we will be exposed to it in 2 minute vids on the websute, but I'm really excited to go to training camp this year. I need to see Allen throw in person. -
I am legitimately surprised they still print cards. Interesting that a new set can be worth cash, as it seems when I was a kid only the really old ones were worth anything. Thay said, if you can turn it into cash that may be at at all time high value, why wouldn't you. Seems to me a bigger gamble not to sell it now than it was to buy in the first place, no?

I won't dispute the "power" of twitter. It's an information world, and it allows seeminly infinite amounts of information to be strewn across the country and globe with virtually no delay. Many good things have come from it, this is also a fact. We have a President because of it. Like FDR with radio, or JFK with TV, it's was about mastering the media's hot new delivery method. That does not mean it's good for us. Social media has decimated society. Look at some of the studies on screen time and social media's directly correlative effects on suicide rates, depression, and relationships. People are literally (in the real sense, not the modern coloquial sense) addicted to it. It was designed to provide little dopamine hits with every "like" since people are driven by peer approval. Let's also not forget that since ISIS has very very little calaphate remaining, social media enables radicalization of new ISIS members and inspiration for so many domestic attacks that were radicalized solely online. So I know you didn't want it to "get ugly", but I could go on for days about this particular topic. That doesn't mean I want to "do anything" about it. People are free to do what they like, and clearly they really like social media. I just think people should approach social media like cigarettes or alcohol- enjoy yourself- but realize it IS bad for you and you should limit it's control over your life. Maybe I got a little too ppp... Sorry mods.

This is spot on. #metoo has often devolved into any accusation leaving the accused "guilty in a court of public opinion". While the "movement" has been a cathartic reckoning of sorts -that in many ways needed to happen- it does not seek truth. It is an angry, pitchfork wielding mob looking for a public figure to hang. Let's all remember in the US we are supposee to be innocent until proven guilty. He very well may have done this and more, but he also may have been wrongly accused or mis-identified. We really have no freakin idea either way. Welcome to the twitter world. It's going to get alot worse before it gets better.

Josh Boyce, WR rumored to have a visit
Heavy Kevi replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watkins? That was only 4 years ago. I see what you are saying though. Honestly, I get it this year. I think it's a "process" year (aka a "throw away" year). I firmly believe that next offseason is the one where they try to surround Allen with weapons. They got us to the playoffs, so now they have some time to build without wreckless abandon. Just my opinion of course. -
Anyone surprised that we didn't hear about this until he left NE? They know how to cover up the dirty laundry from all their years of cheating and destroying evidence. As soon as you leave NE, you are no longer a protected man.

Which TBD poster made this video???
Heavy Kevi replied to Bills4life1924's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anybody make it through the whole vid? 25 seconds is all I could muster. ...And the internet was supposed to be fun -
Watch: AJ McCarron "Highlights" from 2015
Heavy Kevi replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For real. Knopfler is a badass. That solo is Rolling Stone's 33rd best guitar solo ever. -
Meh. Hardly a superfan. That video was from us beating the Brissett-led Pats when Brady was suspended for cheating and destroying evidence. But I don't like Blitzer. I will admit his name is awesome though. To the original post: I would love to see a "30 for 30 or something" on this moment. I just don't see it happening.

Pegula is going to take us to the Super Bowl
Heavy Kevi replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In 30 years, there will be bronze statues of Terry and Kim. Saved the teams, and boosted the area so much it's insane. Buffalo is Pegulaville... ...and I'm just fine with that. Thanks Pegs! -
Derrius Guise Fighting with a team that asked him if he was gay and if his mom was a hooker made him fall on draft day, but I think it is just the perfect place for him to land and he will have a bigger year than the other rookie NFCE RB. His running style will steal fans hearts. Skins get back to the tourney. Guise gets OROY. My opinion of course.
-
Yeah, he's my man now! He's not who I would have drafted but now he's a Bill. If I rooted for Trent, Fitz, Orton, EJ, and Tyrod I think I'm pot comitted.

We have a hole in our hearts the shape of a franchise QB, and we keep trying to shove other QBs in that hole but they don't fit. Not until we get one that truly fits the hole will we stop fighting about it. In the meantime, we had a gaping hole of at least 6 threads a day fighting about Tyrod, and somehow our FO managed to find a QB even more polarizing so here we are.

Erie County Executive concerned about fan behavior
Heavy Kevi replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Improve fan safety" is code for more rules, more cops/sec guards, and oodles of lot restrictions. Surely it will mean an end to fire pits, table jumping, etc. They already mosie around like mounties harassing folks about where they are parked or what substances they choose to abuse that day. They have already bleached the stands, you can't even stand up anymore, let alone treat visitors like trash. Now the lots? Booooooo Those who trade freedom for security deserve neither. -
This. None of those folks on the OP list got us to the playoffs. McBeane did. Now the Pegs are feeling secure throwing their eggs in what they surely believe is a sturdy basket. I believe tue Pegs want a long tenure coach. Even if he's not the greatest coach in the league, ala Jeff Fisher and Marvin Lewis, I truly think they get a very long grace period (4 or more years imo), and even moderate success will keep them around for twice that long. And it's about freakin' time.

All the clauses in the world don't change the fact that he quit. He quit because he wanted assurances that he wouldn't be fired (unheard of) after Orton retired (plus a big extension). He knew he couldn't field a winner and his massive ego would rather screw us over and quit so he couldn't be fired. He put his ego in front of his self described "dream job", for the second time after vacating his other "dream job" in cuse. Dick move. He does not get a pass for setting us back 3 years.
