I don't want a girl that watches sports. I will agree Kay is smokin', but I want to watch a game in peace. I would rather she acts like sports are the plague, and avoids them at all costs. Gotta have separate interests, and spend significant time apart- anything else is too much and cutting into sports time does not sound appealing at all.

Yeah... I have been cooking for 18 years. When I started I was the only person in every kitchen who didn't smoke. Now, out of 38 employees, only 2 of them smoke. It's a complete 180, and I like it. At the first restaurant I cooked in, the chef/owner had a hole burnt through his CUTTING BOARD from putting out cigarette butts. Thank god that era is over.

I just read that smoking among adults is at an all time low. If I remember correctly it's now just 16% of adults that smoke cigarettes regularly, down from over 50% in the 70's. Weed on the other hand, well it's probably the single largest factor in the tobacco decline besides the high taxes and advertising bans.

True. Unfortunately the in-depth discussion is being killed by the social media "like" system which rewards people with peer approval for controversial or "click-bait" arguments and headlines. People don't even read articles or listen anymore... It's just wait for your turn to scream your opinion over everyone else and slam any opinion that wasn't yours.. Pretty pathetic and that's why I don't do social media, though it is creeping into forums as well. The only other forum I regular (bladeforums.com) luckily is not like that. It is heavily moderated because people are buying and selling on there too, so there's money to support the infrastructure. Scott has done a great job here with TBD as well, but there are still droves of pathetic losers who live to feel tough by slammimg people online.

I have been to several teams pages in the last few years on weeks they play us... And yeah they are all terrible. Social media has taken over. They have a page just to have a page and all the real content goes to twitter, fb, the app, and the like.

I think there's a good chance that WR is priority #1 next offseason. I don't want to predict where it comes from because Beane.

What if... Zay turns into the receiver we thought he could be when drafted? If our new system and QB can use KB and Zay effectively maybe, just maybe we won't have the worst WR corps. Could even be downright serviceable.

I think accuracy can be improved. While a terribly inaccurate passer is very unlikely to become a "small window" guy, other factors and changes can have a positive impact on effective accuracy. I am of the opinion that Allen had the challenge of playing with lower talent in college. I believe that's what I saw Thursday night- pretty good, catchable throws (even the deep ones) that a better receiver would have made. I also think some coaching will have a positive impact as well. Combine those factors, and I think he will be accurate enough to be very successfull at tue NFL level. I do not know if that will materialize, but it won't be accuracy problems that sink him, if he indeed sinks.

For real. There was more John Murphy in there than Reilly. Hardly a "mic'd up" segment.

I think the thing alot of folks who don't watch him don't realize how dramatic the arm talent is. I have heard his arm compared to contemporaries like Rapistburger, Stafford, Cutler, even Losman, etc... Fact is it's one of the best pure arm talent (maybe the best) I've ever seen. When he lets it go, it's special, just plain different. The velocity, the arch, and honestly for all of his talk of inaccuracy, puts it on a spot even when off balance, throwing on the run, or with an awkward motion/sidearm or whatever. It's not just a "strong armed guy". He is now THE strong armed guy in the NFL. Move over flacka and rapist.

After seeing this thread/pic yesterday, I stopped at a walmart for a couple things on the way to work. There were at least 5 girls with shorts that were smaller/shorter than this girl... ...and I liked it ?

None sports talk. He looked like he was swimming in his head, was not caught up with what's happening, which leads to not being able to hold other players accountable. "Ain't bad", along with your quick synopsis, sums it up perfectly. Agree whole-heartedly. I took away a few things: 1. He's not startimg this year 2. He need's to mature and command the huddle 3. He's frickin' huge 4. The arm talent is undeniable, can make awkward and off-balance throws because of it. 5. #4 leads to INT's. But I saw shades of Favre. Obviously I have no idea if he ends up good or not, but it's that creativity, the shear god-given football throwing ability coupled with the willingness to sling it. Fun to watch. I was mega-impressed when he launched towards the endzone on the free play from the defense. It's been a while since we had a QB who would recognize the free play, take the shot, and have the tools to actually have a chance to make the play.

Yup. I was over the heat already in mid-june. Lets get football back on the TV, Get the rotten little kids back in school, Get the temp back to comfortable, Wind down the busy season, And may snow be soon to follow.

There isn't high speed internet where I am. I just have the phone for internet. It is nice seeing it live, but what I can get doesn't really equate to "seeing it".

Yuck. Rather than the radio or some grainy online feed, I guess I'll just stay off the boards tomorrow night and watch it "live" at 10am Friday.
