  1. Yeah I was trying to say they originally called it but it wasn't. I said the same thing as I watched it. No way it was a fumble. White got completely drilled on it though. So satisfying to watch.
  2. Appreciate this post, brother. I remember seeing him do this in the Chefs game right after that long halftime. Ed is such a good dude. He's not perfect, but he's turning out to be a real force at this level, which is a far cry from the competition he saw at Houston in college.
  3. A few things I noticed today: 1. D line was in White's face and hitting him all day. They didn't get the sacks but they were laying the heat down after down. Ed got loose over the NYJ guard and just pounded White on what look like a fumble. Watch the replay on that one and look at Mike White after Ed completely dumped him. That's a guy in pain right there. Oliver has really come on this season. Not "worthy" of a draft pick as high as he was taken? Who gives a rats behind? This season, he's showing exactly why the Bills brass wanted him so much and today was a perfect example. He's a monster. 2. Josh was IN THE BLEEPING ZONE today! 75% completion % and hitting the deep balls all day. I'm sure everyone noticed how little air he puts under his long passes when he's on. No rainbows. You can tell he has to take an extra step or wait just a bit longer because his arm is so strong. If he keeps it up, his long-ball confidence will skyrocket. 3. Diggs: 162 (!) yards receiving at 20.2 (!) yard average reception. Yikes! Diggs is just unbelievable to say the least. We got him and he ain't going nowhere else. Gonna be one of the best Bills receivers ever, if not the best, by the time he retires. History in the making and we all get front row seats! Man, it is DEFINITELY a great time to be a fan of the Buffalo Bills!!!!!!!!!
  4. Also probably looking to not wear down Diggs and Beasley so much during the regular season, if possible. Recall how banged up they were for the playoffs last year and how little separation they could get vs KC in the AFC championship game. It's kind of surprising Diggs numbers are even as high as they are if you consider that. I'd be keeping them in bubble wrap as much as possible until the end as long as they're winning games. Helps Josh establish better rapport with the other receivers and TE's and maybe even the RB's. I personally think he should be looking to check down to the RB's a little more. They seem to be open underneath with some space to run. Maybe doing that a little more would open up the intermediate game some more.
  5. Has anyone else noticed a significant lack of whining about the defense on these boards lately?
  6. Could be a number of reasons. Josh has Manny now and is looking his way a lot. Josh has struggled at times trying to hit the big play too often. Teams are scheming to take away Diggs more. Daboll could be purposely not using Diggs as much and saving some things for later in the season. Given the amount of receiving talent they have across the board, it really could be a number of things. Doesn’t mean there is some kind of problem. And there’s lots of football still to be played. I wouldn’t try to read too much into some incomplete stats. If they weren’t winning it would be a problem. All that matters is wins.
  7. Can’t even remember that underwhelming linebacker we traded for him but that was a steal without a doubt! Jerry Hughes will always be one of my all-time favorite Bills players.
  8. Oh yeah I agree with that. That was so bad my mind refuses to give any energy to recall the Kotite era. I remember an old friend back in the mid 90’s who used to pity me for being a Bills fan when they were obviously past their prime. The Giants and Jets deserve all the bad mojo they have just for calling themselves “New York” teams when we all know their home turf is in friggin’ NEW JERSEY for Pete’s sake.
  9. No matter how long the Jets' pain lasts, they will never, ever, ever have a worse coach than Adam Gase. True, dum@ss, total idiot, and cocky SOB Adam Gase. Seriously, he's like a parody of the most moronic, clueless head coach one could possibly dream up. To this day, I still remember exactly when I heard the Jets had hired Gase. Almost fell out of my chair laughing once I realized it was really happening. I mean, some moron owner in his same division was so enamored by that idiot that they hired him on the spot? That's the Jets for you.
  10. I remember those days very clearly. This is not the same. The opposite is true IMO. You have a couple of NFC teams dominating and looking all great because their competition has been mediocre at best. If it's not TB and Brady in the SB again this year, the AFC takes it.
  11. The more I think about this loss, the more ok I am with it. I mean, after getting pretty much run out of town last year again the Titans, this one was absolutely competitive and there were a lot of positives that reinforce my confidence in this year's team. Sure, the defense, and d-line especially, got mauled pretty good by D Heny (Night Train 2) and were, therefore, easy pickings in the play action game that has become Tannehill's bread-n-butter now. But that's not something they're going to see much more this season. With a little luck, they may not have to see the Titans again in the post season. But this was a really great game for Josh and he showed how good he's becoming to everyone in the country. He is a bonafide superstar now and there is no doubt whatsoever about that.. That last play was what it was. It was a gamble. Drafting Josh Allen was a gamble. But we're seeing how that one turned out pretty well so far. If he could start using those RB checkdown passes regularly like Brady used to do to everyone with guys like Kevin Faulk, this offense should be unstoppable. I think that's Josh's major weakness right now. He might go to that option but he needs to hit those wheel routes and swing passes quicker to give Moss and Singletary room to get going downhill. Start gouging them with those 7 to 14 year RB passes and you're bound to open up some routes downfield. But what do I know?
  12. Personally, I think the OP has a good point. Josh is always looking to push the ball down field, and I don't mind that at all really. It's really fun to watch. But everyone knows that about him so the defenses are obviously always trying to stop that. One would think that would naturally open up the little dump offs to the RB's a lot more. Would it not make sense to check down more often and use that to try to open up the longer passes? So often it looks like the RB's are open or at least only covered by one guy at the most. Why not hit look downfield then hit the RB right away and have them make a guy miss and try and make a decent play? Isn't that what Brady would do so much with all those pass catching RB's he had in NE? It's probably not natural to Josh given his competitive nature and that Howitzer of a throwing arm he has. But if it could actually help open up the longer plays......
  13. Manny is awesome and highly productive. I think he is still in his prime. And he’s a cool dude. Perfect fit for this team.
  14. The OP's conclusions are just ludicrous. Sanders is kicking tail and you start asking all these hypothetical questions based on what you assume the others should be producing compared to last season? How can he not be an upgrade? This is pure silliness.
  15. It's threads like these that remind me how young so many of our fans must be. Because if you're so brought down by a game like we had Monday night, just because they didn't get that last half yard and win this helluva game, I cannot honestly believe you've been around from those infamous 4 Super Bowl losses, through the Wade Pnillips years, then the notorious downward slide that followed for so many painful years. It might help to think about how you might look back on this game, this season (which looks like it will be another great one), ten or fifteen years or so from now when they might now be so good again. It didn't turn out perfect and they had their issues for sure. But this team was and is very exciting and is loaded with a lot of young talent that is developing very nicely. It seems that so many fans, everywhere really, have an unrealistic expectation of perfection and don't deal well with the bumps that come with a good ride. They won't win all the big games, but at least they can make it a great game like they did this last Monday night. It could be so much worse. It has been so much worse.
  16. Any one of us who actually witnessed those awesome 90's teams and then lived through the dog days of The Drought should have the sense to understand how great it is to be a Bills fan right now. Anyone with a lick of sense should be crystal-clear on how good we have it with Beane and McD and all the talent this team has right now. I honestly wonder if some of those who constantly complain about this player or that player not being "elite" or being a "bust" already ever regret sounding so !@#$ stupid in their many posts. I won't name any names. You know who they are. Don't get caught up in the minutia and always have a good understanding of the big picture. We are for-sure living in another 90's-like era right now. Josh Allen is absolutely a super star and so clearly not a bust. He's not going to win them all but he's the real-deal and at least we don't have to worry about that. He's not only the real-deal, he's pretty freaking amazing. Like "designed in a lab QB" amazing! His supporting cast on offense and defense is far from perfect, but there are tons of guys here right now that we'll be looking back on fondly when it's all said and done on this current era. This team is STACKED! That is quite evident. F=-k the haters. I don't care what those crybabies think. Look, this version of the Buffalo Bills may not win it all either. They are amazingly good and have had an incredible, what's becoming almost legendary turnaround in such a short time (just ask the rest of the league). But there is no guarantee they actually pull it off and win it all. I think there odds are very good, but that's a fact of life we must accept. I would love to have these guys be the ones who finally do it. But if they don't, my life will not be ruined. This is so, so much better than everything we had to go through, even the late 90's Wade Phillips' teams who were very good (defensively mostly). We are witnessing something very, very special right now and it's time to shut up, sit back, and enjoy the friggin' ride! I, for one, am so, so loving this ride right now. I'm so glad I never bailed on this team and I'm still a Buffalo Bills fan right now. It's so worth it all!
  17. The Monday night crew must have eaten a little too much Nashville hot chicken for dinner. That stuff is HOT!!! Maybe indulged in a bit of Tennessee bourbon as well? Must be some reason for calling him Tannehill multiple times. Not as bad as Brady but still insulting to us Bills fans.
  18. Agree 100%. The Titans brought their A Game and played their asses off. That last play was a fine example of just how great their coaching is plain and simple. There were numerous examples of that on both sides of the ball last night. One of the best coached games I have ever witnessed probably. This loss doesn’t hurt me so much personally. I rather enjoyed it actually in many respects. This felt like an old K-Gun style shootout from the 90’s. Was it perfect? No. But are they ever really? Not really. We’re not going to face a Mack Truck like Henry every week thankfully and the D held up decently IMO. JA17 had a monster game but still has much to learn. And he will and the other 31 teams should be very afraid of that prospect. 10 years from now we will probably appreciate this game more. And the reality for this team is that losing a game truly makes them stronger. I have immense confidence in their coaching staff coming off of losses.
  19. Yeah, he just hesitated and got chucked aside by a beast of a man. Definitely not the first or last time Henry will do something like that. Norman is a pro and good dude.
  20. I'm known to drop the F bomb in my house, but I'm bipolar and former Army so it's just hard to control. My kids are absolutely clear on what are bad words though and exposing them to a little "color" in life builds character. At least that's what I tell myself. This topic makes this funny on so many levels.
  21. Freddie's Dead, so appreciate this and all the work you put into it. I agree with your opinion of Edmunds 100%. Really like your evaluation system and how simple you keep it. Keep up the great work.
  22. I kind of feel like Epenesa is looking like a modern day Phil Hansen-type. He may not be super-dominant (yet) but he's already looking like a handful to me. Getting a lot of push and got obviously held like 4 times at least the other night. He's still so raw too but I like what his trajectory is starting to look like. And we're barely talking about him because Groot and Boogie are already showing some stuff. And just want to mention that big Ed Oliver is a beast, I don't care what his stats say or don't say about him. Right now, everyone needs to understand that his impact is prob not going to show up on the stat sheet but he's a real force and then some. Just watch him for 5 or 6 plays. He's so freaking strong for his size it's ridiculous. Just watch him throw aside guards and centers that are probably 30 lbs or more bigger than him. He does that thing where he's locked on for a bit but always looking in the backfield (a natural at that skill) and all of a sudden the other guy loses just a little leverage or something and Ed just tosses him aside like a rag doll. And did anyone notice him making that funny face into the camera the other night not long after they came back from half-time? He looked right into the camera and was doing the eye-brow lift all smiling. Absolutely hilarious! 😂 I love that guy.
  23. I'm sure it will be on Yahoo or the NFL app or website. I could always Google cast it to my Vizio tv. That actually works well. Heck, I'll drive 3 hours up to Nashville and watch it there if I have to. No shame in my game. Those bastards!
  24. Prob been said before, but Allen completed just 15 passes for 315 yards. That's 21 yards per completion! They are building this offense to attack and hit the big play over and over again. To demoralize the opposing defense as quickly and as thoroughly as possible. The coaches know Josh isn't perfect and is prob going to make a few mistakes each game just trying too hard. That's his nature. But they are building this offense with just that in mind. Because if you give him enough opportunities, he will hit big plays all day long. If his long ball isn't on for that particular day (over 30 yards) so be it. He'll tear you up with the intermediate stuff. Take away both of those, they'll get it to the backs who can run for 10+ yards or more on swing passes and dunks over the middle while your D is turning to cover all the wideouts and TE's running deep. Moss did that all night Sunday. Try to cover all those, Josh will run it for 8 to 30 yards. Pick your poison.
  25. I'm just south of Knoxville and don't have cable because all the broadcast antennas are so high up on Sharp's Ridge in Knoxville that I get them all perfectly clear down here. Since it's a local market game, shouldn't this game be on ABC? TV Guide is showing "Dancing with the Stars". WTF??????
