  1. I am starting to get the sense that McDermott is going to put the pedal down every time unless playing a particular opponent requires differently for some reason. I don’t know why, I am just getting that feeling when I hear him talk about not being your typical HC from the defensive coordinator background. There was one game last year they came out and threw like 25 passes and 1 run starting off. That’s some serious trust in your QB. McD knows what they have and he ain’t shy about using it.
  2. Agree on this. I’m really curious to see what Epenesa is going to look like this year. Been many reports of him blowing things up and having a bit of an attitude/swagger to him this TC. Sounds like he may have finally settled in after a quiet rookie year. And Ed Oliver has looked pretty good as well. Getting a lot of push from the middle. If they can get some good DE production it’s gonna really be on this year!
  3. AD disappeared in the SB. I was not impressed with him that day. I thought he would have a significant impact but he was a non-factor from what I saw. Does he just get a pass for that?
  4. Really appreciate these Buffalo716. I'm not a X's and O's kind of guy but I find this stuff fascinating. Helps me appreciate what we are currently fortunate enough to be experiencing in B'lo. Finally. I'm still getting used to our Bills being so good and having really great coaching (and FO leadership).
  5. I just want to see all our very talented players on the mf field playing for a packed house of rowdy ass Bills fans. I don’t care how they get there.
  6. FWIW I was able to watch it here in East TN via the NFL site by following some links. I had to select my provider Spectrum and it made me confirm with email address and password but then it worked for whatever reason. I was quite surprised and proceeded to watch MT go off on his old team.
  7. Hearing the game announcers talk up his "athleticism" and play making with his legs sounded awfully familiar to me yesterday. It's almost as if they really didn't have anything else to talk about with him. Hmm.......
  8. Is it possible that the play calls he's getting aren't to his strengths? As if, just maybe, they don't want to call much attention to what he can really do right now when it's just preseason? I'm no football expert, but I haven't seen many outside, get to the edge fast type run plays called for him so far. What I have seen are sort of the up the gut, between the tackles runs. From what I've read about this fella, that's not exactly how you take advantage of his speed. I mean, if you sign a guy like him with that specific skill set to compliment what they already have, why would you show your cards in the preseason? Am I wrong? I am usually wrong at least 50% of the time in my life outside of football, so who knows? Just my opinion.
  9. I think TE's on this team are going to be a lot stronger than some of the folks here think. They looked very good today. I don't know if some people even have an original thought sometimes by the way they just regurgitate the same negative lines about certain players or areas on the team. Tight end group is a good current example. IMO of course.
  10. Lol! I’m half Japanese actually. I know what Okasan means but not familiar with that phrase. Please to enlighten me.
  11. Brother that you just summed up me (I'm bipolar), when I'm manic anyway, which is sort of a lot. And BTW, is your handle Japanese?
  12. I’m not sleeping on him for sure. I sleep on the couch mostly these days.
  13. Exactly! They always sound so good but the execution is always disappointing. They love some Arby’s here where I live. You have to expect a huge line at lunch everyday. You can barely get in the parking lot.
  14. My grandma was from North Carolina so I actually grew up on grits. Love them! Just like fries they have to be salted just right or they suck. And they should have plenty of real butter in them so they taste a lot like buttered popcorn. Some folks like them with maple syrup but I like them savory not sweet. Just my preference. Funny how many people around the country don’t know what grits are.
  15. and FYI for other lactose-intolerant individuals out there, McDonald's fries will probably give you a problem if you don't take a Lactaid or generic lactase enzyme pill or such. Apparently, last I heard anyway, one of the ingredients in the "other flavoring" as it's listed is a milk-based ingredient. I think, but I'm not sure, that it contains lactose because of that and that makes sense to me because I used to have problems when I ate only their fries. I'm the lactose-intolerance king so I'm pretty informed about lactose-containing food and food products out there. Also, you don't need to buy that special lactose free milk. You can save a dollar or more per gallon by buying the regular milk and dropping a lactase pill or chewable right in and letting it sit for at least 24 hours. You don't even have to shake it up every so often. Just let it sit and it will work its magic all by itself. That's all I do now and it works like a charm. I'm super sensitive to lactose and our milk gives me zero problems. I just use a Sharpie and put a little smiley face on the gallons that I treat so I'm absolutely sure any milk that I drink at home has been treated and is perfectly safe. No smiley face = no drinkey. Just a little tip. Bro this is great information! I never heard that before. Cause when their fries are hot and crispy they are out of this world IMO. Fantastic! Appreciate ya!
  16. Wendy's is my fav fast-food joint. When their fries are piping hot fresh they are superb. That being said they are only perfectly fresh like 5% of the time, if that. BK's are atrocious so is the rest of their food now. I worked at a BK in high school and the fries were better then, though paled in comparison to McD's. Problem with McD's is they only salt them sufficiently half the time. Fries with no or too little salt are not worth eating at all. You would think it would be fairly simple to get your staff to properly salt f-ing fries but I guess not. I agree with the other guy about the JCB at Wendy's. Lately I get a few of those so I don't have to waste my time with inferior fries. Wow, my knowledge of fast food is concerning. But I live in East TN which is not exactly a mecca of healthy eating options.
  17. Well thanks to the OP and ESPN for a nice off-season article to remind me once again that our Bills are finally good again that I can read whilst I’m on the commode doing my business. Uh oh I think my legs fell asleep. Been on it a little too long again.
  18. And he’s all ours!!!!! Hahahahahahhahaha!!!!!! Ah hahahahahahahahha!!!!! (Insert evil laugh soundtrack here ala Vincent Price at the end of “Thriller”)
  19. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Maybe the best line ever right here. Can I give this one 10 laughs and 10 "awesomes" somehow? It's funny because it's true! Now Sam Elliot's 'stash is damn sexy. That's a damn sexy dude right there you have to admit. You don't need to be into guys at all to admit that.
  20. On a side note, I really wonder what the young draft picks thought when they got picked by the Bills this year. We all know Buffalo was football Siberia for the last almost 20 years. But then we get this young gunslinger at QB, some real and competent coaching and team management, and actually start making the playoffs with regularity (that is so nice to type!) and then even make it to within one game of the Super Bowl. I imagine that might have changed the way these draft prospects thought about the possibility of being drafted by B'lo.
  21. As someone who does not have the patience (and probably intelligence) to keep track of all the prospects in the draft each year, I really like hearing this. I knew who Rousseau was with his 18.5 sacks a year removed, but nothing about Boogie. I just watched the new Bills Embedded series last night (which appears to be the only episode unless I'm wrong), and it was all about the draft. In depth on Rousseau of course, but very little on Basham and the rest. What I liked seeing though was Joe Schoen talking with other teams on the phone about possible trades leading up to the Basham pick and telling them they would trade picks if their guy wasn't there anymore. It was Boogie all the way and he fell to them. They clearly did not expect to see him still on the board by that round 2 pick. They didn't show Basham himself much but he was clearly overjoyed to be drafted so early. Looked like he was super emotional when all the Bills brass were on the phone congratulating him. He was barely holding it together and I really love seeing that passion. That young man will appreciate his opportunity in the NFL. There is no doubt about that. And with the motor he has, gonna be a really nice combination on the field I think. But let's all take the time to appreciate that nickname: "Boogie Basham" That has greatness written all over it! I mean, if he's even decent in this league, a name like that will precede him to each new matchup. And I'm gonna love screaming "YEAH BOOGIE BABY!!!!!!!!" when he makes a good play. I just love that name! Who wouldn't?
  22. You have to admit though that it is really nice to be able to make such a statement about our Buffalo Bills and our QB situation. I still have to pinch myself sometimes to know it's actually happening. Heck, I still have to get my mind to reconcile the fact that that stud #17 that's taken the league by storm is actually wearing a Buffalo Bills helmet. He's changed everyone's perception about our team and just a Bills QB in general it's hard to fathom sometimes that it's really happening to the Bills. I agree 100%. Simms is a big Josh Allen fan, yes, but for real, solid reasons. I really like the way he talks about things in a not-so-technical way. You really know that he's saying what he's really thinking as a former NFL quarterback himself and he expresses it in his own words. I'm a big Chris Simms fan. He's just real and genuine.
  23. I just want to go on the record to congratulate Carl Nassib for coming out when he did. That takes real courage even today. It takes real courage to accept and live with one's self as LGBTQ in our progressing but still-evolving society no matter who you are. Nassib has immediately become a trail-blazer and role model for future pro athletes, especially present and future NFL players of the LGBTQ community. And his coming out will resonate with countless LGBTQ youth who are probably struggling with who they are and who they want to be. The impact of that is immeasurable. The fact that his coming out has been met with so much positivity from his fellow players in the league, past and present, the NFL itself, and the country as a whole speaks volumes about how far we have come as a society. When we reach the point when it's not even necessary for LBGTQ people to "come out" in any way at all, when it's really accepted in sports and society on that level, to that extent, then we can really be proud of how far we have progressed as a society. I think we are very close to that but, regrettably, some parts of our society are much, much slower to advance and accept than others.
  24. You and Niagara Bill must be best buds. One can certainly criticize Whaley regardless of McCoy, IMO. I don't even know how you can say that with a straight face. One acquisition does not wipe away years of mismanagement. Whaley even said after he left that if he had the chance to do it over again he would have made getting a franchise quarterback a priority. So in hindsight he's learned this? Just one example. So yeah, Shady or no Shady, Whaley still sucked at cap management and everything else. Yeah, I'm sure they paid Shady some good coin but that's what was required to get any big name player to Buffalo in those days. Or do you not remember how bad all those teams really were?
