  1. Ahhhhh yeahhhhhhh! That’s what they used to say about acupuncture.
  2. For the marks, I'm going with the alien abduction theory. Just makes the most sense when you think about it.
  3. Not that it actually means anything, but Epenesa getting some props is nice to see. He kind of took over there. Had a sack, knocked a QB out of the game, and like 9 pressures on 34 snaps! Yikes!!!!! Pure BEAST! I'd love to see some more of that. Also, to the poster who used both "schmucks" and "bloviate" in the same sentence: that made my day haha! Don't see those two words used together very often.
  4. AJ Epenesa is going to have a nice year. Looks like he's finding his feet now and looking like he did in college. Very nice to see.
  5. I like Feliciano but they need to upgrade his spot soon. He's a brawler but not a good guard. Seems like he has awful days like he did last Sunday whenever they play top rated defenses. So when we really need it, he tanks. Maybe he was better at center. I don't know. Just seems like whenever that line is having bad day, he's in the middle of that bad day getting worked over. That being said, it was only one game against what might be the best defense in the league by the end of the year. They are unbelievable up front and so strong across the board. Let's wait a few games before we make too many judgements.
  6. RIght, and those "couple of plays" you're talking about I only specifically remember one going to Wallace, maybe two at the most. There were also a few at White (his PI in particular) and maybe Johnson, I can't recall exactly, but it was spread around. People are just all over Levi for just two big plays he allowed (only the PI was actually a bad play) and can't see the whole picture. I'm not going to try to defend him anymore. It's not worth it when the people criticizing him are just repeating what someone else said without actually looking at how well he played.
  7. I recall Big Ed making a few nice plays against the run and he was getting in there rushing the pass as well. Didn't always get home but he was doing some things. I think he's going to really come into his own this year.
  8. This assessment is spot on. Wallace and White both had excellent games yesterday and were probably more even than you think. Of course Roethlisberger went Levi's way more than Tre's like all other smart QB's do. But go back and look at the tape. Big Ben was dropping some nice passes in there. Tre gave up a good one on the left sideline but was in perfect position and even got his hand in there to try and disrupt the catch it just didn't happen. That was "elite" coverage. (folks just love that word around here don't they?) Go back and watch each pass Wallace got beat on. He was in great position and all over the receivers. He has great technique. The TD was a perfectly timed and placed throw and he nearly broke it up. And did you see the stutter step the receiver made at the line of scrimmage right before he made his move. Wallace didn't get fooled one bit. I mean, there's not much more you can do to have better coverage than that? If he'd had gotten is head around on that one PI and made the play, the conversation would be totally different today. Remember, the guy was a WALK-ON at friggin ALABAMA! Not very common I think to say the least. If he got cut tomorrow, he'd be a starter in this league for at least 3-4 years (one or multiple teams)>
  9. Why is 10 the magic number? It's two scores even, but down by 9 seems like it's the same, right? You still need two full scores. What's his record at the 9+ points range? Just curious. There's probably something obvious I'm missing though that makes 10 the magic number.
  10. I'm just south in Maryville (or Mervle as they say here)
  11. Maybe it was good for them to get shellacked like that on the first game. Aa good wake up call that they aren’t as good as they thought they were and they’re going to have to really work for it. I’m at least encouraged by the defensive performance .
  12. Well said. We moved to East Tennessee a few years ago from the DC area where the water is atrocious. It's amazing here. If you have a Brita pitcher, you won't need to change the filter but maybe once every 10 months or longer it's that good. I have no excuse for drinking crap like sodas. But then again, I'm a recovering alcoholic so as long as it's not booze, it's a good thing from that perspective. Soda is my alcohol now and it's delicious. I have to have some kind of vice, right? Now that I'm sober, I can't believe how many beers I had to consume to get myself to like that stuff. I guess that goes for most forms of alcohol. You're onto something with the coconut rum because a Pina Colada would be the only exception. Man, I have to stop thinking about this stuff.
  13. Has anyone mentioned Dawson Knox yet? Seemed like he had a pretty good game. A couple of really nice catches. Did he drop any? I didn't see any. And Taron Johnson had a great game. He was all over the place making plays.
  14. But where's the silver lining? All this negativity for one loss? Geez. I'm totally joking. But seriously, I think this will light a real fire under their rears. They seemed to respond well to losses last years. Still 16 games to go. So.......
  15. Is the plural of Elvis "Elvi"? If you step on a squash is it now called a "squish"?
  16. This is very interesting. I have always heard the opposite of course but never first hand from someone who actually measured it. Thanks for this.
  17. Stefon is such a good dude. A very classy guy and a perfect fit for this special Bills family. I especially loved when he posted that pic of him in the throwback 90's uniform. Can't remember what he said but it was pretty cool. Oh, and he came here and broke some team records his first year, not to mention leading the league in passes received and receiving yards. Yeah, I'd say that trade worked out pretty good for us.
  18. apologies for quoting you just now.  I meant that for the other guy below you.

  19. All this jazz about the 49'ers making the SB is just insane. I guarantee nobody will be saying this by week 6. No way Trey Lance is good enough to make it that far. Maybe playoffs since the NFC is so weak overall right now. But winning the SB? Come on.
  20. He is a beast of an athlete. Monster. You know the coaches are planning for him regardless of his contract situation.
  21. Not saying he definitely won’t but I heard he hasn’t done anything but individual work thus far. Nothing more at all to avoid injury that would screw his contract position for the season. Is it realistic to think he’s ready to go full on if they do manage to get something done the next few days? I’d think he just won’t be ready yet.
  22. "Regression" definition is so subjective and some idiot sports "reporter" will find a way to make that case no matter what just to get clicks in the off-season. We all know someone will. Personally I think he'll be even more accurate and throw for more total yards than last year, which is a lofty proposition. Having Sanders over John Brown will help tremendously. And like many others have stated before me here, JA is not like any other QB out there now, nor ever before really. He's already shown clearly that the usual blanket assumptions about other QB's (like you are either accurate or you're not - looking at you Troy Aikman) simply will not apply to him. The trajectory arrow still points up. He had a great year, but look at what Mahomes did the MVP season. No reason at all JA17 can't get at least close to that himself. He showed some just ridiculously amazing ability last year so many times. We'll see even more of that this year.
