  1. This is just AWESOME! Really appreciate you sharing this. Every time I think about this, probably as long as I live, I'm going to laugh my butt off. Please buy your friend a few beers for me. Oh how I would love to have been there for that one!
  2. I'm sure Cowboys players and fans who were watching that felt completely demoralized. That just does not happen. The O line gave him all week to make any throw he wanted. I still can't believe he just stopped moving completely like that. Steven A said he thought his t.v. was glitching or something. And Allen's wind up and release is so incredibly quick and he just burns them 20 or 30 yards downfield on a rope like it's 5 yards or something. Beasley had so many great catches yesterday that the TD was just another really nice one in a bunch. This video is great at showing his route running. You can definitely see how quick he is and how fast he just stops and goes the other way or whichever way he wants. Looks like Edelman with long blonde hair. You know the Cowboys secondary was just seething red trying to cover him. They were pissed and it was fun to watch. These WR's are really getting into their groove now as a group. Even Mckenzie and Foster are seeing some action. If they can really get it clicking and Daboll keeps doing what he seems to be doing now, they are going to be dangerous. Allen had 11! completions in a row at one point. And the 12th was the long one to Knox that drew the interference flag so you know that's probably what he was intending to do. Just friggin' sweet! I'm getting supremely excited. Been almost 30 years now since I got on the Bills bandwagon and I'm really, really happy to be a Bills fan right now.
  3. Let them do whatever they want to do. They earned and they deserve it.
  4. I've been trying to soak this one in all day and enjoy it. So glad you started this thread H2o. Still, outside of Nate, nothing from anyone but very brief mentions about how good the Bills were last night. EVERYONE else is blabbing on and on about how bad the 'boys were. WTF? But you know what? I really don't care now. Our Bills beat down the Cowboys in front of 35 MILLION people and that speaks for itself. Let them keep sleeping on the Bills. Let them keep talking about whoever the Bills beat down next. The more that happens, the more games the Bills are going to win. This team could be coming into its own right now and the future is starting to look awfully bright. Just enjoy that my fellow Bills brothers and sister. Josh Allen has arrived and the whole country got to see it. I think we're finally in for a nice ride my friends.
  5. I just saw this myself. It just keeps getting sweeter. So hard to move on after this one. Gotta soak it all in for awhile. Bills fans do no get this opportunity very often. Or at least we did not get this opportunity very often. The future looking bright right now!
  6. Could have been certainly. Just making their D think audible to see what they'd do or just to mess with them. Sneaky sneaky!
  7. Nice stuff again, Virgil. Your summaries are always a good read whether or night I agree with all your points. I'm with you on all of them today. Love the way you can express what we are all feeling after a good game. The fact that you had so many positive things to write about for so many different players and parts of the game I think is testament to how much of an actual TEAM this group has become. TRUST THE PROCESS! I haven't seen much mention about Josh's mastery of play calling and audibles on a few drives. That drive near the end where the basically put the game away by eating up a ton of clock was really special. He was calling audibles on nearly every play. He'd see the D line up, then pick another play. There were a few runs that went nowhere but they still ate of up a lot of clock time. I'd be interested in your take on that part. I mean yeah, he showed amazing accuracy and all that, but his play changing was just beauty over and over again. I was kind of enjoying seeing 3rd downs because it was like we were going to see him do something really nice again. I can really get used to that. (knock on wood). Cowboys fans must have been pissed every time he started changing play and throwing their hands up on the nice 3rd down conversions.
  8. Really appreciate you posting this, Virgil. This is a real TEAM and these guys really love playing together. Special is not a strong enough word for them. It's things like this that continue to remind me why I've stuck with the Bills for 4 Super Bowl losses and nearly 3 more decades of misery.
  9. So nice to be having this discussion. So many big plays that were game-changers in their own right. On a national stage to boot. So nice!
  10. That's a really great way of putting it, brother. Nicely said.
  11. For the rest of the season, 4th and inches anywhere on the field and Garrett will probably have to go for it out of pure fear of being fired on the spot right there. Do I recall correctly that the punting unit was already coming onto the field and the offense was going off? Like he felt Jerry's laser eyes burning on his backside and said "Ouch, hot hot! Dak get back out there" Tough choice between Star's pick and Ed's strip sack, IMO. The pickle was like the tossing a bunch more kindling and big log on a low fire and the strip sack was when it all lit up and went WOOSH! At both those moments it's a good thing I have a one-level house on a nice slab. My 250 pounds was jumping up and down so hard I'd have busted clear through to the basement if was a just a wood floor. I had the house all to myself for the first half with no wife or kids to scare so I held NOTHING back. Man, that was a fun game! Last night, it didn't matter what your religious or political views, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, zip code, hairstyle, shoe color preference, or whatever was. Us Bills fans were all completely united, swelled up with massive pride that we've grown accustomed to living without for a few decades now. An extremely proud moment made even sweeter that it was a butt-head team like the Cowboys we were whoopin' up on in front of the whole country. World, meet the new Buffalo Bills! Get used to seeing this. We plan to be here for quite awhile. (Not that any of are differences really matter to us all anyway. Bills fans are built different too.)
  12. Just from what I can tell Spain seems to be holding his own esp in the run game. I always see his number out there putting full effort and he's outstanding getting out and blocking in space. I guess that's his strength. I don't observe him enough on passing plays to give any kind of educated evaluation but the whole line seems to be giving Josh some clean pockets most of the time now. You can really tell they're coming together down the stretch here. I totally agree with you on Feliciano. I was skeptical of his signing but he's turned out to be pretty awesome. I'm with you on the soul of the line area too. I think his attitude has reset the tone of everyone on the line and the others are feeding off of that. That is really fantastic to have. Cody's weaknesses not withstanding, his attitude is extremely helpful too. Seems like he's improving as the season goes on but he's had that tough, nasty streak since day one. As to the OP, Murphy is probably as good as gone with Shaq playing like he is now. That's assuming he doesn't get big $$ and sign elsewhere. Would be a shame. I'm of the opinion that this being a contract year was probably the initial motivation, but I don't think he slows down after this season no matter where he is. The guy is playing like he knows he'll be a bust if he doesn't kick up into high gear and produce. He's finding his game now and that's not going to go away soon. Too much pride in these guys. Regardless it's clear to all of us that Trent is not living up the his contract. We know Beane will cut bait with guys like that and take the hit and move on quickly. One last note: it is a real pleasure to have so few guys to talk about like this with all the crazy depth at so many positions right now. I cannot recall a time like this in the last 20 years at least. Maybe not the best personnel in the entire league, but some damn good quality at most positions with really good backups. Nice to have finally.
  13. Seems like all the "experts" are picking the 'boys over our Bills. Only a small sampling but I can't seem to find anyone with faith in our crew. I love that! This one may come down to who has better coaching. We know which team that is and they aren't located in Texas.
  14. corta765 you must be reading my mind. I really like your take on things and I think you're spot on in every one. Personally, I get the feeling JA is going to really shine in year 3. This year is like his pre-injury rookie season. The change in his game after that time off was night-and-day. I think he'll do the same with a full season under his belt. He's had so much to learn and process this year it's very difficult to put everything together so quickly. But last season, IMO, is good evidence that his brain and body can put it all together once he's had time to let things stew for a bit. Once he gets the chance to put it all on the back burner for a few months, he'll probably come back a very different player. That's my dream anyway. We can all dream, can't we?
  15. As a big Oklahoma fan, I really wanted Baker to be the one they picked. Now, I'm really glad he wasn't there to be had. He may very well be a good or great QB but something about his attitude just rubs me wrong now. I know he's got the ole chip-on-the-shoulder and everything but I wouldn't exactly be lining up to rally behind him if I were on his team. JA has him beat all day in the attitude and leadership departments.
  16. Much appreciated OP! I did not get to watch this game at all so this is really nice to see. It's so great to have Tre!
  17. I bet you $1000 you're dead-wrong. You have ZERO idea what you're talking about. Ed is a freaking ROOKIE!!!! Why can't you guys remember that? He's going to need a year or two to add weight, if needed, and develop his game more. That's all. You guys are ridiculous writing him off so quickly. Your expectations are nonsense.
  18. Virgil, guys like you take away a lot of the fun of the game for yourselves. You can nit-pick till the cows come home but you're just over-thinking everything. Try and look at the big picture more because that's all that matters. Big picture = wins and losses. The Bill's big picture is looking pretty darn good right now.
  19. DVOA as in... ? Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo Doo...doo ”When there’s something going on you must whip it... ?
  20. I don't think he failed so much as BB won yet another round. BB is the master. A true genius of football. He's proved it time and again. If you want to say JA failed then you need to put that into perspective by adding him to a very big pile of young QB's that BB has eaten up and spit out over the years. There will never be an end to these kinds of threads along this general narrative. Why bother considering how little development JA has had compared to nearly every other QB in the league, ever? That must be too difficult to understand. To do that, you'd have to sit back and wait longer, say 2-3 full seasons at the very least, to judge him until you've given him ample time to develop in the pros, regardless of how he got to this point and how little his journey prepared him for this level. There's no fun in that, right? I hope to hell I can resist responding to these JA threads from now on. It's a complete waste of time. I know I'll take the bait again but it's getting really old.
  21. Goddamn trolls. Go f-----k yourself and your mother. And your sister while you're at it.
  22. Very true but I'm not so sure the Pegulas are tying McD to Allen's hip so completey like that. I think they understand how hard it is to find a really good HC like he is. They're taking a huge gamble on Allen but I don't think they'll dump McD if that gamble doesn't shake out. That wouldn't be their style.
  23. Oh jeez. Really? I'm not going to bother reading through all the other replies. OP, stop being ridiculous. He's a very, very raw QB and he's 3-1 for Pete's sake. What the F do you want? 4-0 and 100 points a game? He got eaten alive by BB and that crazy Pats D. Totally expected. His receivers were not getting any separation not even Brown. What the F do you expect to happen? Look what BB did to McVay's high-flying Rams offense in the SB. And you're ready to give up on him? If you've lost faith than you are. Unbelievable. I suggest you take a step back and get some freaking perspective right now. Everyone's expectations for him and the offense are way to high this season. It's all hinging on Allen and his progress. Well you know what? He has a long way to go. Being 3-1 right now is proof of some major progress. He got walloped today against the greatest defensive mind in the history of the game. Why is that a surprise? JA is going to need a few seasons before he really has the experience to start making judgments like this. It's just unbelievable what some of your expectations are. Do you have any idea how little experience he has coming into the pros compared the Mayfield, Darnold, and those guys who went to big schools in big conferences? It's night and day. He's a big project and that will take some time. At least we finally have this to look forward to after 2+ decades of total crap QB's. Sit back and enjoy the ride. You know what? All you whiners ready to jump ship this early on go ahead and keep doing what you're doing. What we say isn't going to change it anyway. I'm gonna enjoy the experience because if he does develop over the next few seasons, he's going to be something really, really special. But you go ahead and give up on him now. Whatever floats your boat.
  24. Kind of feels like you're overreacting OP. Knee-jerk reaction to a tough loss. McD has a horrible record for challenges, I'll give you that. I think someone upstairs is more to blame though. That one today was one of his better call IMO. None of his calls cost them the game. The offense lost them the game. Plain and simple. McD and his coaching is the reason they were even in it to begin with. He and Frasier had an awesome game plan for the D against Brady and it worked very well. You can't blame the guy for not having a challenge because he lost one earlier. He can't see the future. If he feels a challenge is warranted, he probably thinks he'll win and still have that challenge for later. The big one I don't like though is that 4th and goal with Barkley in there. Take the FG and you're down 3 with a lot of momentum. He was feeling frisky though. If they convert that and score, however, we're having a completely different conversation today. I do like that he has some brass ones and willing to take a shot like that. You're never going to have things go your way and get a big one like that if you never try in the first place. It was a gamble. He lost that time. Might work the next 5 times. You just don't know. If you're looking for someone to blame, you have to look across the field. BB is to blame. He always is. That's why he's the best. Some fans just have to have perfection, and everyone's idea of that is different. How soon we forget just how horrible things have been the last 3 decades. McDermott was a great hire after a long string of not-so-great hires. Barring total disaster, he'll be around for quite some time. They get that TD and the win is basically there with the way the D was playing. I'd have preferred the FG but it so easily could have gone in our favor. I appreciate the gamble. He has balls. He ain't no Doug Marrone. Marrone would have punted there.
