yes correct i was explaining that the EPA of an INT averages a little more than 4pts
-
a TD is always worth 6 points an INT is NOT always worth -6 points, in fact EPA of an interception is nearer -4.5
-
it has a ton of flaws first of all it counts completions twice, so essentially passer rating says a completion is worth about 20 yards of offense when we know that most completions go for far less it also penalizes interceptions too heavily...INTs are worth about -100yards according to passer rating and that's simply an inaccurate assessment considering a TD is only worth about 80 you like it and thats fine but saying it doesn't have any flaws is not correct
-
It's designed (back in the early 1970s mind you) so that each component would be constrained to 2.375 because they had set 1 as the baseline average QB performance...that measures out to a 66.7. That was an average QB performance in 1971 according to passer rating
-
i prefer ANY/A for QBs personally qb rating has a ton of flaws
-
TDs/yards and TDs/reception are always going to paint Davis in a favorable light
-
No doubt...when he let it go I was like holy ***** please Davis squeeze that thing because youre about to catch hold of a hellfire missile 😂😂 I think other QBs can layer that throw in there but nobody else can match that trajectory loved the design and Davis did a great job
-
yeah this it didn't look nearly as easy for Miami to score their first 14 as it did for the Bills
-
All Dorsey imo Davis did well to sell the block
-
I read that as a lack of faith in PFF passer grade tbh😂😂
-
I am very interested to see the coaches tape on this last game re Davis It seemed the Dolphins tried the routine that worked last season where your CB1 (Howard) takes Davis away and your second guy (Kouhu) brackets Diggs w safety helping Not sure that's exactly what happened but if it was it will be interesting to see if they just did a terrible job on Diggs or if Dorsey had a counter for it If it's the latter watch out NFL
-
it doesn't require an interpretation lol dont stress yourself out over it
-
correct
-
thus you'll notice completions are counted twice which is why passer rating is not the greatest metric imo for qb performance
-
this is the relationship between EPA/rush and EPA/play action dropback as you can see very little correlation the quality of your run game does not impact the effectiveness of play action passes
-
Play action improves protection Whenever Allen has reasonable (doesn't even have to be good) pass protection he is the best QB in the league

The scheme on offense is fine but Allen playing above and beyond the structure remains the reason we are in contention for the AFC championship

Chandler Jones? Kick the tires at the trade deadline?

It's true He didn't train seriously enough toward the back half of his career and needed purse money which is why he hung around too long and his legacy suffered for it But I have heard from the guys who know him and have trained w him in the past...everyone says he was one of the most gifted natural bjj talents ever Some guys just aren't cut out to be superstars -

CTE plays a huge part imo He probably wasn't a great guy beforehand but last 10years have been really rough on him...my brother is representing one of his baby mamas and the stories are wild😂😂 -
