I'm leery of doing the whole 'who we could have had otherwise' exercise myself, just thinking on balance we could likely profit more spending top picks on offense at much higher frequency than we have -

Unsurprisingly considering the expenditures tho I mean they've gotten above average returns on 4th round Davis 5th round Shakir and 3rd round megaproject Knox Now imagine if a few of Elam/Basham/Rousseau/Epensesa/Oliver had been offensive picks -

I think a realistic evaluation of their draft strategy should factor in opportunity cost lost by going w so many day1/2 prospects on defense esp if we consider those guys w NFL traits on the offensive side of the ball are likely to be higher impact overall -

First round offensive players are just better value overall for this team in that you are getting guys w NFL traits that get the luxury of playing w Allen, they are predisposed to succeed Continuing to draft defensive players w first/second round picks and attempting (sometimes failing) to fit them into your scheme on defense is -ev imo another first rounder on defense this past offseason would have been suicide -

No Allen's cap hits since 2021 have been $10M, $16M, and $18.6M respectively Chiefs won a SB w Mahomes at a $35M cap hit -

good call For me the TD to Diggs is the reason some fans will either never fully appreciate Allen and some think he's the best in the league. Mostly because the throw that most fans scream they want him to take is the first level crosser underneath to Shakir. It's there, it's easy, the ball is wet...he probably gets the first down there. But Allen can see the Diggs throw even tho it needs to go thru 52 earhole into a window the size of a grapefruit

Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired
GoBills808 replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
Interested to know how you define massive pay grade Allen is 9th overall highest paid QB in the league which is a bargain any way you slice it. And the Bills have him at 11th highest cap hit for 2023. This regime has completely and utterly failed to capitalize on the immense production/salary ratio he's provided -
McDermott's Two Minute Defense This Year vs Past Seasons
GoBills808 replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
Scoring 25 points against the Patriots beats them literally every single game this season other than when they dropped 29 on us. If you cannot conclude giving up 29 to Mac Jones is the primary reason we lost that game we can just drop this conversation because we will never agree -

He is playing at an MVP level. The team is 6-6. You can apportion blame how you see fit. Allen deserves very litte of it imo -

The Allen rhetoric has hit peak stupid imo There is a ton of evidence this year to suggest he's having his most efficient season to date. The metrics have him at the top of the league in almost all relevant QB categories. The counting stats similar. And watching the games as we do it should be overwhelmingly obvious that his production outweighs a high turnover rate. -

You don't have to go to Harvard to understand that fewer (not 'less'😂😂😂) turnover increase win% but I'm glad to see we are making progress lol -
