    passer rating is a poor measurement for how good a QB is on third down imo, too heavily weighted toward completions that don't necessarily pick up a first down success% is what you are looking for

    It's calculated by taking the win probability of a particular down wrt historical averages (similar to EPA) vs the difference positive or negative of the play's result. It's not predictive nor is it meant to be as there are better metrics for that.

    lol Allen's playoff performances are some of the best of all time he averages more TDs and fewer INTs in the postseason than Mahomes

    I would have made a change already McDermott is already the 4th longest tenured HC in the league and out of the top 10 (certainly the top5) has the least to show for it

    i agree 100% Allen is (at current pace) unfortunately going to end up being the Allen Iverson of the NFL absolute unicorn in terms of offensive production but fated to be largely ignored by history because his style was too unorthodox and lack of championships

    I think it's more out of necessity than by design tbh like all things being equal I'm sure the Niners would like to have a great QB, they've just been making do w out like 90% of the rest of the league...the difference is they're still contending for championships. That's why I give them so much credit

    yup it doesn't tell you that if the QB play contributed negatively early on which is important context but really any way you slice it Allen reliably comes through in the big moments

    yes that's what they call the garbage time filter if you crank it up the whole way you can disregard everything except when the game is within 30-70% WP...helps to eliminate noise from blowouts i don't think this is very surprising however, considering Allen finished second in WPadded to Prescott and Allen played well in a ton of close games

    We didn't have the ball last, KC ran the clock out on us Just like we didn't have the ball the last 13seconds of the previous playoff game Allen would have won If your expectations are that he also call the defense and kick the FGs then sure he could do more

    The point is it's about doing less w more Harbaugh was able to parlay a Joe Flacco run that wasn't half as good as Allen's 2021 performance into a Super Bowl...ours ended in the divisional it's just wasteful

    We literally just watched Mahomes throw a horrific pick in his own half to swing momentum the Chiefs however are actually able to play complementary football and his defense forced a punt after holding the Niners to -1 yards on a three and out

    of course it is Allen on the Niners would have two Super Bowls by now in 2020 and this most recent one McDermott on the Niners and I'm not sure they're even winning their division

    well since you asked lol pegula and his kids should quietly concede the next 3 seasons to the Chiefs, form a committee w the intent of trading Allen for multiple firsts+dumping McDermott and Beane in one fell swoop and pray Reid decides to hang it up after getting to 5 Super Bowl wins

    The Chiefs standing in the Bills way is misleading when you consider we basically created them We had the 13 seconds game won and gave it to them and then laid down on defense for them this year the answer is #2
