Bridge QB Reality Check
DaBillsFanSince1973 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
does it bother you I may want to do what I want to do with my sunday? you keeping track? seems you are and it must disturb you in some way to keep mentioning it. for someone who has asked to ignore them, well, here you are. as for the OP and his lamp thread. I have seen countless times where some have caught hell for creating duplicate threads but apparently some over look some and the automated mod lets the OP slide because well, it's a whole new take on tyrod taylor. -

seems arizona fans feel like many here feel about him. if teams see it that way he may not be traded which would make for a very boring season of the same ol' tyrod of unwatchable offense. The quarterback that the Arizona Cardinals shouldn’t acquire Various quarterbacks are being linked with the Arizona Cardinals these days. Free agent choices, draft prospects and even a trade possibility or two have been discussed ad nauseam. There’s one passer being talked about, however, who general manager Steve Keim should avoid at all costs. Anyone who watched Tyrod Taylor’s performance in the AFC Wild Card Round of the playoffs could not have been impressed. The Buffalo Bills’ signal-caller’s showing was reminiscent of the Ryan Lindley debacle of a few years ago. The Cards’ third-stringer in 2014, Lindley led a offense that generated just 78 yards and eight first downs in a postseason loss to the Carolina Panthers. Actually, Taylor’s play this past January during the Bills’ 10-3 defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars may have been worse. Lindley, unlike Taylor, did manage to throw a touchdown pass during his playoff appearance. All that the Buffalo leader could muster versus the Jags was a measly field goal. The Arizona Cardinals’ much-publicized quarterback dilemma will not be solved by acquiring a mediocre talent like Tyrod Taylor

I'll go with Jeremiah Johnson -
if they draft a QB, although I expect they do pull the trigger this april and if put in to a position with no trade, he wont make it through the whole season before they insert the rookie in his stead due likely to poor performance. I can live with watching the rookie take his lumps over watching taylor run around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Bills will not cut Taylor without a replacement Of course, eating $6 million just for the sake of it isn't ideal for a team that is already climbing out of the salary cap mess created by the old regime. At this stage, in late February, it makes sense for the Bills to let teams know Taylor is available for trade. It makes even more sense to not say they are planning to cut him. That helps his trade value. The question is whether teams that are interested in Taylor are going to believe the Bills or wait until March 16 to see if the Bills part ways with Taylor. Once again, Taylor's future in Buffalo is far from a clear picture entering the offseason.

NFL trade tsunami? This offseason could be defined by deals By Gregg Rosenthal Around The NFL Editor Published: Feb. 21, 2018 at 12:38 p.m. Updated: Feb. 21, 2018 at 01:08 p.m. 13 players who could be traded Tyrod Taylor, QB, Buffalo Bills: This is another example of how cap space could facilitate a trade. The Bills have enough room under their cap to hold on to Taylor's $18 million cap figure into March, survey the market, and see if another team will give up a draft pick or veteran player in exchange for him. If not, the Bills could wind up just releasing him.

Stupid Tyrod Articles
DaBillsFanSince1973 replied to Wagon Circler's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this looks encouraging. Heading into the offseason, the biggest question facing the Buffalo Bills has been what to do about the quarterback position, the most important position on the roster. While the rumors around incumbent starter Tyrod Taylor have focused on his being released before he is due a $6 million roster bonus on the third day of the league year, a new report by Ian Rapoport, a national insider for NFL Network and NFL.com, says that rather than cutting Taylor outright, the Bills are pushing hard to trade their starting quarterback. “My understanding, though...Doesn’t seem like they want to cut Tyrod,” Rapoport said on an NFL Total Access episode. “Seems like the Bills would like to trade him, just based on how much quarterbacks are going for and how much interest, seems Buffalo will be able to do so.” but then this. The end result? Taylor possesses some desirable strengths to go with some noticeable weaknesses. Odds don’t look good for Taylor returning under center in 2018, much less receiving a contract extension from Buffalo, though the decision to fire offensive coordinator Rick Dennison COULD open the door for one final season with Taylor at QB. If the team is unable to receive what it perceives as fair value for Taylor in a trade, it’s looking more likely that Taylor would retain his starting position, at least at the beginning of 2018. I really hope they can move on from him, I'd like to watch some bills football in 2018? -
