The most interesting man in the (draft) world: Combine confidential: Baker Mayfield is one of the more intriguing players in this draft class -- and the most polarizing quarterback. As the combine was concluding, I asked a head coach for his biggest overall takeaway. He spotlighted Mayfield, saying he liked him the most on the field ... and the least off of it. Another head coach, whose team interviewed Mayfield, rolled his eyes and described the quarterback: "Cocky. Over-the-top cocky." That feeling wasn't universal. "I love his fire," said a third head man, indicating that Mayfield shows the kind of emotion usually associated with leaders on the defensive side of the ball. A fourth head coach considered Mayfield a winner who shows toughness and natural leadership. And finally, a fifth head coach said he has "no issues" with Mayfield "because the football speaks for itself." http://www.nfl.com/m/share?p=%2Fvideos%2Fnfl-combine%2F0ap3000000919180%2FCombine-Whiteboard-Baker-Mayfield-gets-personal-with-Steve-Mariucci side note: Rosen passes speed-dating test: On Thursday, Josh Rosen told reporters that he wanted everyone at the combine to leave Indy understanding how much he loves football and that he plays for his teammates. On the same day, a head coach (who likes Mayfield) said he needed to do more work on Rosen. "You want to work with somebody you can work with," he said. "You don't want to have friction all the time." A GM wondered, "Is he likable?" I got the feeling Rosen helped himself in Indianapolis. "I liked him," one evaluator told me. Another said, "Really good interview. Really good. Engaging. He made us laugh." That's a plus during those 15-minute, speed-dating combine interviews. QB class defined by Qs: One evaluator -- whose team does not need a quarterback -- offered a succinct view of the QBs: "It feels like there's a lot of risk in this class." In case you were wondering ... While evaluators wanted Sam Darnold to throw and Lamar Jackson to run in Indy, no one seemed overly bothered by either opt-out decision. "I just don't understand why [Darnold] isn't throwing," one GM did say. "I don't freak out about that stuff," another GM told me. "We'll see them at their pro day." So, we'll move on.

Rams will not tag Watkins

not going to say they were not idiots, they were but he is supposed to be one the youth would look up to. not look as bad, if not worse, with that response. if you can not handle what can be the worst outlet for trolling someone, stay clear and be the consummate professional. -
did they give him league minimum? he's not done well the last couple years.

PICK 5 Baker Mayfield - QB, Oklahoma PROJECTED TRADE WITH BRONCOS. The Bills are willing to make a big move (giving up their two first-round picks this year plus a 2019 second-rounder) to get a quarterback after Sean McDermott falls in love with Mayfield's fiery demeanor. Denver is a willing trade partner after addressing the QB spot in free agency. Four-round mock draft: Allen goes No. 1; Bills, Cardinals trade up

I am compared to selfish millionaire nfl player, so not offended at all. I made a very comfortable life for myself and my family and I was never selfish in doing so. -

Buffalo Bills: Where the roster can be improved this offseason Quarterback Could we not expect a rookie quarterback to come in, complete 63 percent of his passes, throw for 2,800 yards, and toss 14 touchdowns? I believe at least four of the top six guys could do that at the top of this year’s draft. With that being said, I think that is where the team should find their guy. Whether it is standing firm at 21 and 22, hoping someone like Lamar Jackson falls to them or my preferred option, trading up to get the guy they want in Baker Mayfield, Josh Rosen, or Sam Darnold.

Rumor: L.Jackson 2nd QB on Bills Board

NFL Draft 2018: One team reportedly has Lamar Jackson as their No. 2-ranked QB NFL Draft 2018: According to ESPN.com, at least one NFL team had Jackson ranked as their No. 2 quarterback in this year's draft class. The team in question remained unnamed. -
fins trading up? 2018 NFL Mock Draft: Dolphins trade up for Josh Rosen; two freak defenders in Top 10 2018 NFL Mock Draft: 4. Miami Dolphins (via mock trade) Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA. The Dolphins aren't afraid to be aggressive, that's for sure, especially with Mike Tannenbaum in a key role in that front office. Given the structure of Ryan Tannehill's contract, his health and age, Miami looks to the future with Rosen, a Jay Cutler-ian quarterback prospect who's more polished than Cutler when he entered the NFL. 21. Buffalo Bills Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State. If Rudolph gets past Miami, Baltimore and Los Angeles, he should be there for the Bills at No. 21 overall. They can't pass on him. He's an experienced pocket passer with nice downfield touch and some mobility. 22. Buffalo Bills from Chiefs Vita Vea, DT, Washington. Vita will be an instant-impact run defender the moment he steps on the field in an NFL game. He also has high-level athleticism and an impressive arsenal of pass-rushing moves. He'll be the foundation of the Bills' defensive line renovation.

I have been pretty adamant about picking rosen. so I suppose that if he isn't the pick, serve it up. I like mine grilled then refrigerated, nothing like a cold serving of crow. edit: misunderstood the OP. I believe rosen is a day one starter but if not I still feel he has success at the next level. if not, serve it up as stated above.

....What about QB in 2019?
DaBillsFanSince1973 replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the time is now, not 2019. they get their QB and set the tone for a regime that finally gets it. -

So What IF The Bills Trade UP
DaBillsFanSince1973 replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see any right or wrong here. I see those who have their own opinion on what they feel the bills should/would do. in the end, they will do what it takes to try and improve the team and that improvement may take the farm to get their guy, which I'm fine with that. my gut says they trade up for one of the top three, hopefully rosen? I believe he'll wear # 11 -
Difference between Jackson and Taylor
DaBillsFanSince1973 replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I trust your assessment. personally though, I hope they pass on him. I'd rather have rosen who likely could start day one vs jackson who may need a year or two? -
I doubt Beane risks both 1st round picks
DaBillsFanSince1973 replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it is time to take the risk. this team has been plagued (still is) with mediocre QBs for far too long. I don't believe this regime is going to go another year without, taking the risk. get your QB
