this is the part of the business I don't like. after spending your career with a team there is never any loyalty toward a vet who put it all out there for the team. it's all about money. hope they can work it out and I wont be selfish with hoping he retires a bill but instead wish him well where ever he may go, if they can not come to terms.

I posted something similar to this yesterday. propping him up is making his value go up in a likely potential trade.

I wouldn't be too happy but wouldn't lose sleep over it but in the case of he and taylor there is no need to even consider any feelings until or if said (taylor retained/jackson drafted) scenario takes place. unlike you though I don't believe they retain taylor nor draft jackson. On another note, thinking he has a good chance of coming back for a year based on what McD and beane said regarding taylor today. why wouldn't they prop him up saying good things about his work ethic and character and being one of the players responsible in helping to end the drought? all the positive things said will give any potential trade partners a good vibe when they approach them with a trade deal? they certainly wont bring up the fact that he had some bad, no terrible games in 2017 that even brought them to a decision to bench him for a rookie or that a taylor led offense could only muster up 3 points in the first playoff game in 17 years.

so, depend on your QB to be one of the biggest reasons you have the # 1 rushing attack? or depend on him to pass the football more, sustaining drives and scoring touchdowns? I'd much rather have a pocket passer then a rushing QB. hopefully this draft/off season one will be acquired.

agree, they're not. Dline needs to be bolstered. Oline, mainly a center and definitely need the most important position filled with a competent QB. hopefully they meet most of those needs this off season, especially the QB position?

me thinks the interest lies in the fact that they made the post season last year and they may feel they can make a deeper push with a team that shows promise? experience helps.

sorry to cause you such grief. at first it was in fun but you and a couple others got all jaded. so yeah, it was trolling I suppose but you really didn't need to get all bent over it. taylor threads are a dime a dozen and I saw nothing real special about the take in this one so I guess I should of just stayed out of it then feelings may of been spared.

I know of one poster here that likely spends his day sitting on this board but I have been known to go days without a visit. as for the topic that has been now beat to death. they will have their bridge QB but it wont likely be taylor. I see along with a new OC a new QB under center. some see it their way, I see it mine. we all shall see soon enough.
