  1. They should sign Lyerla AND Leonard at TE. Would have to have a pool to see if either even makes it to camp and the first one to commit a felony.
  2. TE Sefarian Jenkins or Niklas in the 2nd and then OL in the 3rd. I'd like to see a trade. Lots of teams are trying to move up for QB/WR in the 2nd. Grab an extra 3rd and they could still probably get Niklas in the 2nd.
  3. Damn. Thrilled he got traded but I really wanted a pick in this draft. I would actually love a 2nd pick in the 2nd or 3rd. Say a 4th and SJ for a 2nd and all he was worth was a 3rd or 4th in 2015. Bills are stacked at WR. Hope they go TE & OL tonight.
  4. Nobody. They either do something stupid in the first round or the player they take leaves after their first contract. Why should this year be any different?
  5. 1. Johnny Manziel- Dallas 2. Jadeveon Clowney- Houston 3. Blake Bortles-Jacksonville 4. Khalil Mack-Cleveland 5. Mike Evans-Oakland
  6. Only the county officials never said the Ralph is fine. Which is why there is a big stadium committee. Which is why New York State just hired a firm to study sites for a new stadium. Which is why there are current renovations. There are 7 years left on the lease. Nobody said they need a new stadium tomorrow. They have 7 years. Pretty sure whomever buys the team will be well aware of the need for a new stadium and they probably won't sell to someone who isn't on board with a new stadium.
  7. Larry Quinn is like a cockroach. He was fired after the Rigas fiasco and somehow resurfaced for the Golisano years. What went down in 2007 is this: Sabres had just gone to the Conference Finals for the 2nd straight season. Briere and Drury were both UFA's. During the season, Briere had said he would resign for 5 years/25 million. Sabres refused to negotiate during the season and didn't bother to negotiate after the season and let him walk. He ended up with the Flyers on the first day of free agency (7/1), signing an 8 year/52 million contract. Drury had actually verbally agreed to a contract extension but Darcy Regier never sent the paperwork into the NHL office and never mentioned it and Drury never signed. Story goes is that Regier and Drury agreed to a contract extension, Quinn vetoed it on Golisano's orders and they threw Regier under the bus with the paperwork failure. Drury signed with the Rangers on July 1, 2007. Oilers then signed Vanek to a 7 year offer sheet on July 3rd. Sabres panicked after losing Briere and Drury and matched the 7 year 50 million offer right away. If Larry Quinn ever told the truth, it would be the first time. He lied his ass off about anything and everything to protect his job. What happened at the end of the Golisano ownership was he wasn't interested in having a winning team if it cost him money. His orders were the team could make any trade or signing as long as they didn't lose any money. The NHL had a salary cap and the Sabres had their own salary cap which was much lower. The team had a budget which it could not go over but sure go ahead and build a winning team somehow. The conference finals teams were dismantled and they let Regier "build" what you see today. It was a great day when Golisano sold the team and Larry Quinn got the boot. If the ONLY option for the Bills to stay is Tom Golisano buying them, then beggars can't be choosers but don't expect a winning team for another 15 years if Larry Quinn is involved in any way.
  8. I'll save you some money. Consumers has Genny 6 packs for $4. Go buy a couple of those and pound them in the lot before the game. You won't want any food or beer for a long time.
  9. Roger Trevino is the vice-president of the Niagara Falls Redevelopment LLC. He just happens to be Jim Kelly's old agent. Milstein has been buying land in the Falls since 1998 and has never done anything with it. 142 acres of prime land. Sitting there within spitting distance of the Falls for 16 years. Wonder why? He has tried to buy the Redskins and the Browns. He is from NY. His family is worth $6 billion. Hmmmmm.....let's see here.....the Bills are for sale....their lease expires in 2020 .....and I own 142 acres of land 20 miles from downtown Buffalo.......I'll take 2 upper deck seats and have a view of the Falls along with the Bills game. FWIW, they are also building a brand new train station in the Falls.,,,,,
  10. Apparently, the new thing for the Buffalo media is to tell us that's it really OK that the Bills or Sabres lost because it was a close game and at least they competed. Fans seem to be buying into this. That's what it's come to. That's how bad things have been. All fine and dandy to lose but, hey, it was close. I guess all the players get a trophy for participating at the end of the year now. Loss is a loss. Close or not. Kansas City was 2-14 last year. They changed the coach and the QB. They are 6-0 today. Meanwhile, the Bills just keep right on being mediocre, losing close games and making excuses. Only the names on the back of the jersey and on the sidelines has changed. It will take awhile for people to see it's really not any different.
  11. If the Bills were even halfway decent, there would not be any blackouts. Bills lead the league in attendance for more than one year in the early 90's. They had no trouble at all selling 80,000 tickets. If they had made the playoffs once in the last 13 years or finished over .500 more than once in the last 13 years, the last 7,000 or so tickets would be gone no problem. What you aren't getting is that the casual fan or the less than super die hard fan isn't buying what they are selling. People do not take families to the game, people can't smoke at the game, people do not want to wait in line for the bathroom, security is tighter, people have less disposable income in this economy and especially in WNY. Quite frankly, some people have decided to spend their money and/or do other things with their families on a Sunday afternoon than go watch the Bills lose again. I know a lot of people that their kids play hockey or football or dance or whatever and they have games or practice every Sunday. The weather is really nice and they would rather do something else outdoors. There are more options- internet, big screen HDTV's, Red Zone Channel, Sunday Ticket and so on. They don't care if the game is on TV or not anymore. There are other games on TV. They don't care if they can't see the Bills game on TV or in person. I know people that just watch the Red Zone Channel or another game and put the Bills game on the radio. It's just not must see it at all costs. Saying if you live in the area and don't buy a ticket if it isn't sold out is complete nonsense. People here just don't care enough anymore and don't want to spend their money on the Bills. That doesn't make them a non-fan.
  12. I don't see how Gilmore can play this week if he is having pins taken out tomorrow. Why rush him back? How long before J Byrd has the planters in his foot flare up again?
  13. Purely a panic move. They went after Freeman, he chose Minnesota. Last week they said Lewis wasn't the answer, today he is simply because he was already here. Better option than Pat White though. Guess they are going to get another QB off someones practice squad too.
  14. Pat White starts they lose 14-3. Tuel starts they lose 17-0. Unless the defense & return game score a few TD's it doesn't look like we have much of an offense. Don't tell me Fred, CJ and Pat will run 70 times. Cincy will do what Cleveland did. Play 8-9 guys in the box all day long knowing the Bills can't pass. Cincy D looks pretty tough.
  15. Just threw up in my mouth a little. You know, Tuel has thrown more passes in the regular season than Pat White. White hasn't made an NFL roster since 2009. Wonder why nobody picked him up after the Redskins cut him? We have no passing game. Going to be a long October.
  16. Bills need a QB badly. Pat White & Dennis Dixon? May as well bring in Betty White & Donna Dixon. Now it comes out that they are open to trading Byrd. They were waiting until he was healthy. I bet it happens tomorrow. Three that I thought of: Giants need a safety. Nassib (Obviously knows Hackett/ Marrone and the offense) and a draft choice for Byrd. Raiders might sign Freeman. They sign him and we trade Byrd to the Raiders for Flynn and a draft choice. Steelers- Gradkowski or Jones for Byrd and a draft choice. They get a QB that is better than any of the free agents out there, not a starter but someone actually on a roster and a draft choice. Plus they are rid of the Byrd headache. Makes sense.
  17. Certainly not Pat White but that's likely who we get. That's pathetic. I'd offer Favre a million bucks a game. Honestly can't be any worse than what we have now and it would be interesting to say the least. Why not have an open tryout? Anyone who wants show up Monday morning and tryout.
  18. They sign Tebow and they sell out the next two games. They won't win any of the next 4 games no matter who they bring in. Bengals, @ Dolphins, @ Saints, Chiefs. They are all better than the Bills. Even with EJ they might have won one of those games. Bottom line is they can sell 15,000 tickets with Tebow. How many are they going to sell with Tuel?
  19. Browns did the old "8 in the box" for most of the game, especially after Tuel came in. They played 8 guys up and dared them to throw. Also noticed the Browns safeties playing close to the line and sometimes stacking 2 on one side 5-7 yards from the line. Almost impossible to run against that. I saw one screen pass, maybe two. I saw a whole bunch of three & outs. Obvious they couldn't run and they couldn't pass, CJ & Fred are banged up, they were down to 3 WR's at one point, it was Tuel's first game. Our TE's are awful by the way. What can you do?
  20. How long do you think Byrd actually lasts before his plantar whatever flares up? Couple games maybe? I'll bet anyone that he is hurt again before the halfway point of the season.
  21. Defense played pretty well other than not getting any turnovers. Williams got beat twice on the one TD drive. No idea why they left him 1 on 1 there. Offense didn't do anything after EJ got hurt. This one isn't on the defense. Bills actually had more yards on offense than the Browns. The 200-some punt return yards the Browns had was no good. Browns had a punt return TD and a defensive TD, take those away and it's a tie game.
  22. Going to go 2-14 if Tuel is the starter for very long. What do they do if EJ is out for awhile? Going to just give up on the season? Maybe they win tonight if they had a capable backup. It was a winnable game. They could be 3-2 or 4-1 right now. Have to have a veteran backup QB in this league. Otherwise, you have very little chance to win.
  23. Eh, Bogar is a Ravens fan. One or two were inconclusive. He got the last one right. Bigger problem is the NFL rules. It's a fast, hard hitting sport. They nitpick this stuff to death. Kills a lot of big plays and points.
