  1. Someone nobody ever heard of makes a vague statement from "sources" that's likely taken from an article from 12 hours ago and Bills fans all take a dump on their kitchen floors. Amusing.
  2. At least he can watch the games with his old teammate Byrd when they are both on IR.
  3. Kind of insane. Totally unnecessary. I don't get it. Basically getting a slightly better version of Spiller at more than twice the money plus they lose Alonso and still do not have a QB. McCoy cap hit is $11,950,000.
  4. Everyone always says "never should have come down to that kick or "if they would have done this or that he wouldn't have been in that position". But IT DID come down to that kick and he was in that position (that was his well paid job) and he missed. Always figured he lived in a van down by the river and has watched nothing but replays of that kick 24/7 on an old black and white TV & Betamax VCR since 1993. He apparently sold the rings or gave them away long ago. Whomever wastes their money on those rings should just throw them in the lake
  5. To beat the Pats 2x a season? Get an even better D than we have now. Get in Brady's face all game long. Knock him down. Hit him during the anthem. He panics a bit under pressure. Take away the dink and dunk passing game. I'd suggest we sign Revis. Get a QB and a TE. Adjustments: change all the calls/signals/snap counts at halftime. I'd bet they still tape teams. Buy off the refs. Over inflate their footballs. Take cheap shots. Cheat, lie and steal. Whatever it takes.
  6. Sure he can be "fixed". Rehab- dry out/sober time/education/skills. If he completes the inpatient program, gets outpatient after, stays clean & sober and has a place to go and things to do everyday that don't involve alcohol and/or drugs then he has a chance. If he accepts the fact that he can't use anymore than he has a chance. If he can't do all of that then he has absolutely zero chance. Can he play QB in the NFL? Who knows? Maybe if he is sober and if he dedicates himself to the game instead of nightclubs & endless parties he can. Maybe he can only play hungover and coked up. Only time will tell.
  7. Just saw it again for the 50th time and I still don't believe it. It's the dumbest play call in the history of football. 2nd & goal from just inside the one yard line with the clock running. 25 seconds left when the ball was snapped. They had a timeout left. They claim they were wasting a play to kill clock. What? Two plays to get less than a yard to win the Super Bowl. Marshawn Lynch is your running back. Even a QB sneak would have been a better idea on 2nd & goal. Then give it to Lynch on 3rd & goal if he doesn't make it on 2nd & goal or give it to Lynch twice... if he doesn't score on 2nd & goal. Formation was dumb. 3 WR. Gave away the play and the play call itself was even dumber. Slant on a pick play? From the ONE? Too much can go wrong on a pass and it obviously did. Even if the WR catches the ball it doesn't look like he would have scored so.....3rd and goal from the 1 and they run it anyway. Incredible and unbelievable to get that close and just choke. Smarter than Belichick? Dumb dumb dumb.
  8. If you can add one of the top 3 CB's in the NFL to this defense, you just do it. It's an absolute no brainer.
  9. Main Street downtown has reopened to vehicle traffic for the first time since 1982. Pretty much from Lafayette Square down to the Harbor Center is wide open for redevelopment including the nearly vacant Main Place Mall and the nearly vacant One Seneca Tower (used to be HSBC Building), the only tenant in that 40 story building is......Pegula Sports & Entertainment. If the stadium goes downtown, you will see all the new bars, restaurants, hotels, Bills offices all on Main Street.
  10. It's in the rule book that the balls have to be between 12.5 & 13.5. Refs check the balls or are supposed to before the game. Each team has their own balls. If 11 of 12 were under inflated by halftime....someone did it after the refs checked before the game. Who told someone to do it? Brady? If it's not a big deal, why is it in the rule book? If everyone does it, why is it in the rule book? If it gives an unfair advantage to one team, it's cheating. It's against the rules. If it's against "the spirit" of the rules, it's cheating. Why is it always the Patriots pulling some underhanded crap? Why have the Patriots been cheating since 2001? For the fun of it? The last time they got caught, they lost one first round pick and were fined. Then the evidence was destroyed. How much have they done that they didn't get caught? I'd bet they started taping again after the first half of the KC game. How much longer do they get away with it?
  11. Just out of curiosity: Buffalo Bills trade OJ Simpson to San Francisco for 1978 2nd, 3rd, 1979 1st, 4th, 1980 2nd. With SF's picks the Bills drafted 1978 Scott Hutchinson DE, Danny Fulton WR, 1979 Tom Cousineau LB (1st overall), Ken Johnson DE, 1980 Joe Cribbs RB. In 1982, Bills traded Cousineau to Cleveland for 1983 1st, 1984 3rd and 1985 5th round picks. Bills drafted Jim Kelly with the Browns 1983 1st round pick, 14th overall. Side Note: Even though the Bills blew the 1st overall in 79 (at the time) they had a fantastic draft. Jerry Butler, Fred Smerlas, Jim Haslett. Jon Borchardt, Jeff Nixon, Rod Kush all in the first 5 rounds. If the Bills didn't trade OJ to SF, they very well could have not gotten Kelly in 1983. This site has every draft trade ever. http://www.prosportstransactions.com/football/DraftTrades/Years
  12. I think what they will do is trade for a QB, sign a FA, draft one and sign an undrafted free agent. Glennon, Locker, Grayson & Stoudt. Let them battle it out for starter, backup & developmental QB. None of that works, do it again in 2016.
  13. All the whining is just ridiculous. Defense will be just as good or better in 2015. Rex has proven he is one of the best defensive coaches of all time. Think he just sits around and does nothing? Bringing Dennis Thurman over from the Jets as DC. Jets were 5th in the NFL against the run, Bills were 11th. Adding needed pieces to the offense will help as well. Nobody thinks they will get help on the OL or at QB? That's just absurd. Bills are a playoff team in 2015. Bills DC's since 2001- Jerry Grey, Perry Fewell, George Edwards, Dave Wannstedt, Mike Pettine, Jim Schwartz. 0-ZERO-0 Playoff appearances. Everyone just looks at record and says well Bills won 5 more games than the Jets. That's ignorant. If Rex would have been the Bills coach in 2014, Bills are a playoff team. Marrone as the Jets coach, Jets would have been....4-12.
  14. I'm banking on: 1. Flat out having one of the top defenses in NFL history. 2. Someone at OBD will find a decent QB somehow some way. 3. Improved run game with Roman 4. More aggressive on offense- especially on 4th down. 5. The Bills winning at least 10 games and making the playoffs in 2015.
  15. Manning looks shot. Age finally caught up to him. Happens to the best of the best. Montana & Kelly were done at 36. Marino & Young 38. Elway knew when to walk away. He was 38. Favre was an exception. He played until 41 and probably stayed 2 years too long. Manning will be 39 in March.
