  1. I don't know how anyone could want Whaley/Marrone/Hackett to stay past Monday. Buddy Nix had better drafts and he was downright terrible. The offense is a total train wreck. Still don't have a QB. No running game. You can love FredEx and Boobie and CJ but they are just bad. Haven;t had a TE since the early 90's. OL is still suspect. Marrone would have punted on 2nd down if he could have gotten away with it. Allegedly Marrone and Whaley have a broken relationship. Can't have that so at least one is going. Polian is a Hall of Fame level executive. He will come and advise like Caserley is doing in NY for the Jets. He can contact the right people. It's about time we had a professional organization in place.
  2. I don't care what people say, someone is going to look really stupid. They will show the Ralph and the streets will be clear and the stadium will be (or would have been) pretty much cleaned up. Would have been great for the community to have people come out and shovel the stadium Sat-Sun, tailgate and play Monday night. Would have been a nice break after this week and would have shown how crazy we are. It's literally going to be 61 degrees in Orchard Park on Monday. Going to be above freezing starting Saturday. The snow stopped hours ago. I live in Lancaster. 12 miles from the stadium. We had 80+ inches of snow here since Monday night. Tomorrow will be a huge cleanup day. My driveway (15 x 40) is already cleared. Travel Bans will be lifted tomorrow. Things will pretty much be back to normal by Sunday. Northern half of Erie County got less than 10 inches of snow. They should have put the Detroit plan together and then waited until tomorrow to make a final decision and announcement. It's Buffalo man, we can handle this stuff like nobody else. Bills will be able to practice Fri-Sat-Sun. Now they have to fly to Detroit. They could have and should have played this game at the Ralph. Just my opinion.
  3. Airport is open. Never closed in the last 3 days. No snow at all tomorrow. 37/37 and rain Saturday, 49/47 and rain Sunday. 61/40 and rain Monday. Yep, that's right. 61 degrees in Orchard Park on Monday. Problem is there was an additional two feet of snow today on top of the 4 feet that fell Tuesday-Wednesday. Even with the warm up and the rain, they decided there was no way they can clear multiple feet of snow out by Monday. As of now, there is still a travel ban in Orchard Park and surrounding areas. No idea when it will be lifted. If they played Tuesday, I see no reason why it couldn't be at the Ralph. I think they could have even played Monday night. Politicians freaked out this morning and the NFL is moving the game.
  4. The NFL is thinking $$$$$$. That's their top (only?) priority. If they move the Bills game to Tuesday and the following week's game to Monday, which should really be an easy decision to make, how much money does it end up costing the NFL?
  5. No way they will play this game in frickin Toronto or anywhere else. At worst it gets moved to Monday night.
  6. Rookie WR Numbers through today: Kelvn Benjamin-11 games-52 receptions-768 yards-8 TD's Sammy Watkins- 10 games- 45 receptions-649 yards- 5 TD's Mike Evans- 9 games- 46 receptions. 792 yards. 7 TD's Odell Beckham- 6 games- 31 receptions- 463 yards- 3 TD's Martavius Bryant-4 games- 14 receptions-310 yards-6 TD's
  7. None. Coaching staff is done here. Whaley has been a total failure as a GM as well. They have had 26 games. 11-15. They haven't gotten better, they have regressed. They are no closer to a playoff team than they were when they took over. Look further away if anything. Be lucky to go 7-9. D Line is great again. Big deal. Not winning games. Anyone still has any hope, you haven't been watching the same team as everyone else.
  8. He lied to get the job and then had to stick with the lies until he was proved to be a fraud. Took 26 games.
  9. ONE TD in the last 7 quarters. One. Blame whoever the heck you want. They are all guilty. Far as I see it, the GM had 3 first round picks and 1 second spent on offense and has nothing to show for it. Deepest WR draft in ages and he spent 2 firsts to get Sammy. One yard outs and handoffs. Nice. EJ was a disaster. Cyrus Kouandjio is so bad he can't even be activated on a poor OL. Pegula needs to completely clean house. GM, Head coach, Assistants, Scouts, all the other people employed on the football side top to bottom front to back. Get the hell out. Has to bring in legit NFL caliber people from the water boys to the GM and President of Football Ops. Money talks. Get it done.
  10. Leodis has been here 7 seasons now. Only players that have been here longer are Fred Jackson & Kyle Williams. I don't know how that's even possible. He wasn't good enough to start in 2011 & 2012 and yet they sign him to an extension and start him at CB. He fumbled away the Pats game in 2009. Been on my list to go since then. Today gets him an underline on the list. Bills have drafted 5 TE's since 2005, none higher than the 3rd round and only ONE since 2009.(Gragg in the 7th in 2013). ONE TE in 6 drafts!!!! That's complete craziness. Lee Smith was a better closer for the Cubs in the mid 80's. Gragg was a 7th round pick and it shows. I like Frank The Tank. They just don't use him enough. It would probably help if he could block.
  11. Better than the sweater vests and visors in the SEC. Honestly, who cares? Marrone would look like Flounder in a suit and tie.
  12. Coaching staff is not a NFL caliber coaching staff especially the head coach and OC. They are outmatched and out coached almost if not every single week without fail. Marrone & Hackett have zero vision. They are unable or unwilling to adjust during the course of a game. Marrone has no idea what percentages are because almost everything he does fails. Just a horrid in-game manager. Defies all logic to run for 97 yards in the 3rd quarter at 6.46 yards per carry, have the ball on the Chiefs 5 yard line and on 2nd & 2 and 3rd & 2 they force passes twice. Again defies all logic to have the ball 1st & 10 from the Chiefs 15 with all your timeouts and the 2 minute warning down by 4 and they throw 4 straight passes, 3 of them just up for grabs in the end zone with really no chance to be caught. Used a screen pass early for a change, it worked. Never saw it again all day. Bills are never going to go anywhere until the have a legit head coach. Hopefully the new owner gets an adviser in here and the first thing they do is decide to get a NFL head coach.
  13. Same place where all Bills seasons end up in November. Self inflicted death. I think they will be very lucky to win 7 games. Anyone says that is an improvement, technically correct but not in reality. Wasted two seasons of a truly dominant D line. They fall back into beating themselves. Should win at least 6 of your home games if you want to be a playoff team. They may win 4 at home. Not anywhere close to good enough.
  14. Started reading Bill Polian's book. He says the number one thing to look for in a coach is vision. Marrone is blind as a bat. Bills beat themselves today. Happens every year without fail. All comes down to coaching. In what universe do you have the ball at the opposing teams 5 yard line on 2nd and 2 and 3rd and 2 with 97 yards rushing in the quarter (6.46 yards per carry) and force two bad throw into the end zone? Who does that? Then you get the ball late down by 4 at the opposing 25, get a first down and then force 4. FOUR. 4 passes into the end zone? How can they keep their jobs? Why not take the FG, D holds and then all you need is a FG? That's worst case. This team will never go anywhere until they get a real NFL coach and staff. They will be lucky to finish 7-9.
  15. Bills RB's: 15 carries for 97 yards in 3rd quarter. 6.46 ypc. and yet they try and force two passes on 2 & 2 and 3 & 2. Not goal to go. They still could have gotten a first down. That's just ignorant ass play calling. Trying to be smarter than everyone else. Blows my mind. Should have been up at the worst 17-3 and could have been up 24-3. There's your big play that puts the Chiefs right back in it. 13-10. Unreal. This is the game that will lead to the bottoming out of this team. Happens every year.
  16. I'd bet money the Patriots are cheating again. No way to prove it, just looks like it to me. They were garbage in September. So many injuries. So many no name guys just going in and playing like pro bowlers. No "weapons" for Brady. Yet they are just rolling teams now especially at home. I think after the Chiefs game they figured they better start or they were done. They can't help themselves. Wish there was a way to prove it.
  17. Bills are 0-4 against the Jets at Met Life Stadium. They did beat the Giants there in 2011. Everyone says the Jets are a good 1-6 team. 1-6 is 1-6. If they were any good they would not be 1-6. Eric Decker thinks they are good. I do not. Bills D Line has a spectacular day. Bills 16 Jets 9.
  18. Took a huge step back this year. Defense has been atrocious. They lost to Army who has a new coach, new system. Army lost to YALE. Lost to Bowling Green. Up 28-17 in that one but gave up 508 yards and were outscored 16-7 in the 2nd half. Lost to Eastern Michigan. EMU was 1-4, have had 1 winning season since 1990. They started a backup freshman QB and scored 34 points in the 2nd half. UB gave up 337 yards rushing. In college, every team loses good players every year. They didn't replace any of them. Recruiting has been terrible. They were not moving forward. AD White talks a big game, they want a $20 million field house, they want to remodel the football stadium. UB has 30,000 students. Can't even field a consistent team in the MAC. I thought they would wait until after the season but it was time. Charle Weis is available......
  19. Probably be 7-5 and end up 8-8. They aren't any better than a .500 team. That will be an improvement but still not good enough for the playoffs.
  20. Reich all the way. Better question is who will be the interim head coach if the Bills don't win against against all these supposedly weak opponents over the next 6 weeks? How fast does Pegula pull the trigger and fire these bums? Say a loss to both the Vikings and the Jets? Losing record when December rolls around? December 29th after another debacle in NE?
  21. If they can get someone in here by tomorrow morning that would be great.
  22. I don't get why people don't want this team to win. Look what KC did to NE tonight. Division is up for grabs. 9-7 will probably be good enough. Bills have two QB's. EJ and Orton. Marone decided Orton gives them the best chance to win at this time. EJ was truly awful in the two losses. He has not progressed at all. All they need is adequate play from the QB. 7-5 the rest of the way and they have a legit shot at the playoffs. Orton can do that. EJ at this time can't. Looks like Whaley set three first round picks on fire. Marone knows if they do not win he is a goner. Who can argue that he is doing what he thinks gives them the best chance to win? If he's right- playoffs. If he is wrong- new coach, new GM, new QB next year.
  23. Continue to develop EJ??? He's reached his ceiling. He's not getting any better. He's had 14 starts. Almost a full season. Zero improvement. Zero. Looks worse than he did before he got hurt last year. New owner is here October 8th. Look at the schedule. 2-2 now. December looks like 1-3. Lose the next two, which is quite possible and the best they could do is 9-7 and there are no guaranteed wins in any of the other games. Question they have to ask themselves is what is more important? Winning games and making the playoffs (ha) which would mean going with Orton or trying to fool everyone by saying the QB and WR's are young and inexperienced and need more time to develop? Which Marone actually said today. That goes against everything they have said- win now- make the playoffs this year. Either way, this coaching staff, GM and most likely EJ are all finished here unless things turn around very quickly (which will be nothing short of a miracle). That sets the team back a couple more years. They gambled big time on EJ and it looks like they lost big time.
  24. For those who don't know or haven't been keeping track, Pegula (and his wife) own the Bills, Sabres, Bandits, Rochester Americans, built Harbor Center (which opens next month across from First Niagara Center), donated $88 million to Penn State to start a Division I Hockey Program and build an arena, started a record label in Nashville and started a sports agency. He is in the top 5 as far as net worth among NFL owners. He recently sold fracking land rights for $1.75 billion. There is $375 million in change left over from that after buying the Bills. That does not include the $3.5 billion he had prior to the recent land deal. Not bad for someone who started a business with $7,500 in borrowed cash in 1983. Money is just not a concern to him. Next up: I would expect a new stadium to go downtown next to Harbor Center/First Niagara Center.
