  1. That was clear, unambiguous PI. Replay would not have overturned it because the replay officials are refusing to do their jobs.
  2. Cleveland is favored by 2.5, not Buffalo. https://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/las-vegas/
  3. I absolutely loved this pick on draft day, and I am starting to get worried. Not sure what the issue is, but I hope it gets sorted out.
  4. How is that even possible? My wife was more svelt when she was 9 months pregnant.
  5. They didn't ask him to do too much today, so there's not a lot to evaluate. The fumble was bad, as was the missed slant to Brown. But he had a brilliant play to escape a sack resulting in a deep pass that Brown should have caught. Good game overall. B.
  6. I agree. This team probably isn't going to make any noise in the playoffs. But they were awful last year and on track for a playoff berth this year. That's a huge step forward.
  7. I feel pretty confident about Denver, Miami, and NYJ. Less confident in Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Likely losses against Dallas and Baltimore, but it's not like it would stunning to pull off a win against either. No way at New England. It seems like we should be able to get our wins out of that.
  8. The offense was very good today. They failed to convert on short yardage a few times, but otherwise they did a nice job. The drive-killers were handing the ball off to Gore straight up the middle, when that play was simply not working at all.
  9. We're not one player away from anything. After yesterday, I'm thinking the rebuild has another solid offseason to go. So I'm fine with not trading away draft capital if that's what the team decides to do.
  10. Today was not winnable given how the team played. We gave up a 65-yard run right up the middle, and a game-killing drive that took like 25 minutes off the clock when we needed to get the ball back to our offense. In the second half, the Eagles had drives and points whenever they wanted them. Our offense is much improved from last year (when it was abominable), but it's not good enough to overcome these sorts of setbacks.
  11. I know the statistics don't back it up, but I thought Allen played very well today when it mattered. Not perfect mind you, but very well.
  12. Greatly improved accuracy, willingness to take the short pass / checkdown / throwaway, migrating away from the stupid interceptions.
  13. I figured we were likely to lose this one, so the result isn't that disappointing. But the defense was absolutely terrible for the second week in a row, and I'm starting to feel like this team is quite a bit shakier than I thought it was.
  14. OP isn't wrong. This is a matchup that cries out for using our passing game to attack the Eagles's secondary. If the weather were normal, I would view it as a good test for our offense. With the weather the way it actually is, I feel pretty pessimistic about this one. Hope to be wrong of course.
  15. Good. Seeing as how three teams in the AFCE start the season with no realistic chance at a division title, I'm not incline to apologize for lucking out and catching an easy schedule that sets up a WC berth.
  16. This may be the game that most depends on Josh Allen, for exactly the reason you described. I mean, obviously the play of your QB is always important, but we didn't really need Allen to "win" any of our games so far, and I think we can reasonably expect to handle most of our remaining opponents (BAL, DAL, and NE are the toughies of course) with Allen just avoiding mistakes and taking what's there. For this game, I think the clearest path to victory is with Allen aggressively attacking the secondary, which is something we haven't done a lot of this year. This should be a really interesting game.
  17. I'm growing concerned over our inability to beat the blitz. For whatever reason, Allen is not doing a good job of hitting his hot receiver -- I don't know whether that's a result of him not being able to see pressure coming pre-snap, not finding the outlet guy fast enough, poor play design, or what, but it needs to get fixed.
  18. I agree with this. The first two handoffs were fine -- we weren't having any problems running the ball on Miami and it made sense to lean on the running game and try to kill the clock. But on third and long, we should have gone for the first down. Sure an incompletion would have been a mild bummer, but maintaining possession was a lot more important at that point of the game than keeping the clock running for just another 30 seconds.
