  1. It's clear you believe the world revolves around you and you have little regard for anyone else. Sorry that the Marv hypothetical went right over your head.
  2. Your tone is that of a narcissist. It's clear you're not the least but sympathetic to those who enjoy the live experience, but for a multitude of reasons may be unable to stand for long periods, or simply aren't tall enough to see over you with your G.D. chicken wing or Flintstones Water Buffalo head gear. But, hey, as long as it suits you and you get noticed by the TV cameras.....screw everyone else, right? The Buffalo Bills organization wants all their fans to be able to enjoy games in their home stadium. They've worked tirelessly to create a family atmosphere. The ages of fans span from toddlers to people who are elderly and have supported their team since the 60's. Let's put a face to it. Here's your measuring stick: If 97-year-old Marv Levy was seated behind you and it was evident that up-and-down (mostly up) was a strain and took away from his enjoyment, would you still take the position that he should just move to "a different seat or stay home"?
  3. It’s a simple matter of courtesy. Stadium seating is arranged so everyone has a line of sight to the performance. The person who refuses to sit for the entire event has no consideration for the people behind them who may be several inches shorter or are unable to stand for extended periods because of physical limitations. I wonder if the same people who are so amped up that they can’t sit, stand the entire time when they’re at home watching a game or concert.
  4. As much as I love being in that stadium to see my Bills, this is one of the issues that has kept me from going in recent years. We see that amazing crowd on TV and my wife says how much she wants to go again, but standing barely 5 ft tall, she’d be stuck watching the Jumbotron for most of the game. I went to see The Who at the hockey Arena in Atlanta (22 years ago this week). Some damn yankee I’d met through a Bills’ message board had come down from upstate NY with his yankee attitude and was sitting next to me. He almost got into it at the concert with some guys in front of us who wouldn’t sit. I wonder whatever happened to him. Probably got his yankee arse kicked eventually. 😉
  5. Stunts and blitzes. Hurry Tua into errant throws. Get him rattled. Usually not a huge fan of too much blitzing, but in this case pressure Tua early, and press receivers hard at the LOS. Of course the best defense is a good offense.. Let Josh run wild and run up the score at his home away from home in Miami.
  6. No! I don’t hate the posts at all. I just don’t get it. Whatever it is that has made Haiku’s something that we’re taught in school- the importance of it goes right over my head. Maybe it’s like that stupid Canterbury Tales where we’re supposed to pretend that we’re smart enough to figure out what the hell Chaucer was saying in that Olde English gobbledygook.
  7. Wow. It's only 42 years old. Isaiah Robertson. Ancient history. I've never been able to figure out what that song was supposed to be. Was there some contemporary song at that time called 'I Gotta Feelin' that was embellished by Isaiah and others to include the line "Bills going to the superbowl" ? One thing for sure, these players shouldn't quit their day jobs for a side hustle singing. Kelly's off-key heyyyy-eey was almost as bad as Tasker's was when he led the charge.
  8. FWIW - there was an awful lot of stuff that the bored of education came up with to waste 12 years of public school. Most of the important things were covered the first years. After that, 75% minutia. College was closer to 90% minutia. This about sums it up:
  9. This is so betarded Stick to Sumo Wrestling Japan This is for football I concede I'm probably not intellectual enough to understand Haiku's or Yoko Ono.
  10. I understand there's a tradition. I was speaking directly to the appeal of a Haiku and why in the world anyone on this side of the Pacific Ocean should give a damn.
  11. I remember something about Haiku's in middle school English class. I didn't understand why we were wasting our time with something so uninteresting. I still can't figure out what makes a Haiku appealing to anyone or in any way worthwhile. They seem REALLY stupid. Change my mind.
  12. Yeah, as long his kids are happy (with no mother, thanks to their sociopath murdering father) I guess that's cool. I would have snorted up a big green loogie and aimed it square at his oversized face.
  13. Isn’t it curious how people see things so differently. My wife and I both love Steve. I was going to take her for a taping. It’s done locally and a close friend of mine does all the video stuff for the show. I can’t tell you why, but I hate Jack Black and Jimmy Fallon. Many people love them. So it goes. Is the white dude Mitch Trubisky?
  14. Allen's woman is hotter than anything those two have had and Mahome's brother is an @-hole. End of discussion.
  15. Agree about the all reds. Looks like one a dem union suits a prospector from an old cowboy movie might have worn. That said, they did look great in the blizzard against the Colts.
  16. Yeah, I like the 7:15 start. I can handle it ending before 11pm. I'm often at work by 5am (beating Atlanta traffic and a few hours of no interuptions). Thursday I left work around 10:30am, took my usual mid-afternoon snooze, and then took Friday off to sleep in while visions of superbowls danced in me head. So glad the west coast can enjoy the Monday night games, but other than those in which the Bills have played, I've hardly seen any Monday nighters in years. I'm usually snoring on the sofa by 9:30.
  17. We beat the Chiefs in Arrowhead then lost in overtime after not getting the offense back on the field. They don't scare me. The Bills are better than last year, and the Chiefs are arguably weaker without Hill.
  18. So either I misunderstood what Steratore was saying or CBS has a contributing former official getting paid decently to comment on rules, but he doesn't actually know them that well.
  19. Since we’re talking about Pittsburgh/Cinci… The Chase catch for the TD that wasn’t. CBS contributor/commentator and ex-official Gene Steratore stated that as long as it was a completed pass and the receiver’s foot was on the white line of the end zone, it should be a TD, regardless of whether or not the ball crossed the plane. Anyone want to weigh in on that statement? Not sure it’s true. Fwiw, it shouldn’t have mattered-the ball was over the line. Here’s proof. I can’t believe the Bengals coach didn’t challenge. IMO, not challenging may have cost them the game.
  20. I have almost no memory of this game. Strange, as I had traveled from Atlanta to be there. My only memory is that I went to Buffalo with my wife, but she stayed home with my folks and I went to the game with (I presume) my brother. In those days, the season began on Labor Day weekend, which I always loved. I could go spend a few days in WNY, go to the home opener, have a paid holiday, and use few PTO days for that mini-vacation. The NFL start got moved to the week after Labor Day at some point when they figured it was cutting into their TV viewing numbers. But, it's weird that I just don't remember anything about the game itself.
  21. Laid back as all get out. He must have the skill set that Dorsey and McD want to utilize, but somehow, I don’t see his personality (my impression) fitting with the group of characters on the Bills. I sense he’s more of a solitary figure who’d rather just go home than go for a beer with the guys when asked. I guess as long as he can perform on Sunday it doesn’t make much difference.
  22. If they’re behind by 2 touchdowns they’re probably not going to burn their precious minutes chipping away on the ground. Especially if the Bills keep answering with more points.
  23. Well, in fairness there are an awful lot of ‘new fans’ out there who’ve never gotten a Bills sweatshirt for Christmas and are now jumping on the Bills bandwagon like Afghanis on a C-5 transport plane. We’re just getting them caught up.😊
  24. The key will be to let Allen & Co loose, balls to the wall, and get enough of a lead to force the Tit’ns into playing catch-up with a passing game, negating Henry and their run game’s effectiveness.
