  1. Oh god, Alex Smith is gonna be our starter next year. And we are gonna give up draft picks to make it happen (that’s what Riddick is suggesting will happen, those who didn’t watch the vid).
  2. Not surprising with Kamara, Hunt, Fournette all being stat monsters. Tre should get a nod for DROY.
  3. I thank Tyrod like I thank any player that suits up for the Bills and for the NFL. They put their bodies on the line every weekend for our entertainment, even if the compensation is good. Tyrod especially always handled himself well during three years of turnover. I thank him for that. And I thank him for being the QB of the team that ended the drought, even if we backed into it. Wish him well, he has some good tools and maybe he isn’t done growing but the rest of his career will be elsewhere. And that’ll be the best thing for both Tyrod and the Bills. With our future QB Teddy Bridgewater!
  4. Most of them are welcome back on small contracts...
  5. This team was outscored by 57 points during the season. Our OLine is going to be a year older, our WRs are Kelvin Benjamin and then not much, our DLine was not good against the run statistically and couldn’t generate much pressure. Our LB group was a hodgepodge of players that will mostly be FAs. Our TEs and secondary were pretty good. Im so grateful we made the playoffs and want to go further next year. But looking at our team, we need a lot more talent overall - not just a slight upgrade at QB - if we are going to take that next step. Get a rookie QB on a cheap contract in the 1st and then use the extra cap space and draft picks to upgrade talent everywhere.
  6. Good QBs don’t get ruined by playing too early imo. Rather put a great team around a rookie starter than go into the season with an average team led by Alex Smith.
  7. Um he can’t play because he has a noodle arm...
  8. Let’s not waste 18 million on a scrub QB. Ours nor Minnesota’s. Draft one in the first to be our starter and use the 18 million along with the rest of our cap space on some young FAs for the defense and OLine.
  9. We are probably going to be drafting our QB of the future this April. Now is the time to make the change and get a real OC in here. Once you draft a QB, it’s hell to make them switch offenses year to year. Cut Dennison loose.
  10. When Bortles killed us with a scramble before the half, we should have planned to spy him the rest of the way. Make the adjustment at halftime. Once he started gaining yards running, he got his confidence and their offense became somewhat effective. Spy him or figure out how to stop him from running and this is a different game. Bortles would have had to throw more and that probably would mean a turnover. Do that and run from the one yard line and we probably are on our way to New England. So frustrating. Especially since Bortles did the same thing to us last year. Happy about our season but man I think we were some better coaching away from winning that game.
  11. we gotta draft a QB in the first: Allen, Jackson, Mayfield. I don’t think there will be a draft flush with this much talent for awhile and so this is a great year to get a talent that would normally go earlier in other drafts late in the first. After that I want 3 DT, DaRon Payne with our second first and Justin Jones and BJ Hill in rounds 3 and 4. Then, I really want Isaiah Wynn in the second to push Vlad to the bench. And Brian O’Neil OT from Pitt to start grooming to play across from Dawkins if we happen to move on from Glenn. I’d also like Jake Cichy and Josey Jewel later in the draft to add to our LBs.
  12. Allen is a good player, he will do well at the senior bowl. I hope he goes. Even if he lays an egg, I doubt it drops him out of the first but if he has a week like Phil Rivers did all those years ago, you could see him start solidifying himself as a top 5 pick.
  13. I’ll just leave this here for everyone: one thing about Jackson, he is so much faster at everything he does than everyone else. Defenders start collapsing the pocket on him and he takes a few steps and is out of reach. When he gets to the NFL game, it won’t be athletically too fast for him. He may need to learn to process info faster, but what kid doesn’t need work on that coming out of college. 2018 is shaping up to be an excellent class and I’d be excited if we get any of the top 5 QBs in RD 1.
  14. I could see a team jumping ahead of the Broncos at either the Colts or 2nd Browns pick to get Allen or Mayfield before Elway does. im not sure how the new Colts GM will draft but I assume he would trade down if someone was willing.
  15. Congrats, Cleveland. Darnold is the real deal. Now hopefully Allen or Mayfield are left for us when we pick.
  16. Coming out of Iowa, Adrian Clayborn fell down to the bottom of the first round because he was born with a short arm which made teams concerned he could only rush from one side of the line. He certainly never became a star. And JPP blew off some of his fingers too but has been about the same productivity. Griffin has a far bigger handicap - and isn’t a Dlineman, I’d expect him to be no better than a 6th rounder due to it but probably an UDFA who will need to prove it doesn’t stop him in practice and preseason. Root for the kid, but def understand teams sliding him down their boards.
  17. He will drop because of it, unfortunately. It really hasn’t stoppes him yet tho. Personally, hope he goes to Seattle to be with his bro since they are so close. But would def be a big fan if he was a Bill.
  18. We are a playoff caliber team this year and it opens us up to go a lot of ways this draft. Think how good we can be collecting talent and not pressing to find the savior of our franchise. We can build up the O and Dline and LB positions and still take a QB that slides in the first or second. I would be stoked for Allen falling to us, though I doubt it. Mayfield would fit in our range too. Then we can sit them behind Tyrod for at least another year and let our revamped lines take this playoff team to the next level next year!
  19. This is a great QB class and if Darnold comes out it will get even better. Remember that no QB coming out of college is wartless. Though it seems that fans forget that every year. 1. Darnold is super young and only real weakness is “poor decision making” like all the picks that Watson threw last year that caused people to question his decision making. 2. Rosen is a natural QB that will step in immediately and be awesome. Concerns about his body type and love of the game are there but the talent is undeniable. 3.Josh Allen carried a Wyoming team to back to back winning seasons but had a low completion percentage out of a pro style, vertical passing attack in college. He is Phillip Rivers personality with a great arm. Question his decision making and accuracy if you want but don’t forget the talent he played with in college was really bad, like one of the worst in D1 bad. 4. Lamar Jackson is ultra athletic but also still learning to be a QB. Can you teach an athlete to play QB? Can he be Michael Vick in a league that is a little more free with letting QBs be more off script than when MV played? 5. Baker Mayfield is a Heisman winning, average Joe. Average athlete but slippery, average height that could affect him when throwing lanes aren’t as wide open as the ones he got in Oklahoma but which didn’t stop him yet. Ultra competitive and a winner who has the chance to knock off 3 of the top 5 programs in college football this year (Ohio State, Georgia, the winner of the other CFP game). Does being a winner with average physical abilities translate to winning - we will see. This is a class with a wide array of positives and negatives. At least 4 will probably go in the first round and should based on their skill and college resume. Fans are always hypercritical if the QB position that we overanalyze to death and don’t realize that just about every year there is a chance to find a great QB.
  20. To each his own, my friend. I would be so happy getting Allen. But Darnold, I just have no doubts about at all. I think he is a slam dunk physically/mentally and another kid that just fits in Buffalo. His dad is a plumber - albeit for medical gases. A big armed, stocky kid of a plumber is the type of QB that fits in Buffalo imo. Allen could be Big Ben, Darnold will be what Andrew Luck has been (minus the injuries), IMO. When I’m more rested I’ll break down Darnold more.
  21. He is not Jim Kelly but Josh Allen is great. Wyoming has consistently been one of the bottom feeders of Div 1 football. All the sudden, last year they exploded from last place in the Mountain West to first, unseating perennial powerhouse Boise State...The reason was Craig Bohl starting to right the program, but mostly Josh Allen. This season, Allen struggled after losing 5 offensive starters to the NFL. He probably was the only player who would play on Iowa or Oregon if you transposed Wyoming’s players to those teams’ rosters. Yet, he still won 8 games this year and Wyoming went 0-2 when he was out with an injury including a loss to maybe the worst D1 team this year, San Jose State. People are worried about his stats because they don’t look great. However, Bohl runs a pro style system with a lot of down field, difficult throws. These aren’t stat inflating bubble screens he is attempting like Osweiler used to throw at ASU and it also doesn’t help when your playmakers drop passes. Allen isn’t totally blameless in this season. He does throw bad balls and interceptions, he is not always great feeling pressure, sometimes he looks overmatched. But here are the positives: 1. The best, strongest arm I have ever seen. 2. Takes snaps from center and plays in a pro-style system that produced Carson Wentz. 3. Fiery and competitive - not Baker Mayfield but more like a tempered Phillip Rivers 4. Very used to playing in cold weather 5. Great throwing on the run with bootlegs just like the system Dennison likes to run. To wrap up, I like Darnold better. However, Allen would be a great choice for Buffalo - even early in the first round. He can be a franchise QB.
  22. I just read an article saying that the Bills are 3-1 this year when McCoy rushes for 100 yards. Additionally the Pats are 2-2 this year when they give up a 100 yard rusher. I think it is pretty apparent what we need to do is use different formations and packages to make sure that McCoy gets to that number. Belichick will be trying to take that away so if we get there we will have imposed our will. Hoping to see a lot of unbalanced lines, heavy formations and creativity with McCoy, Taylor and even Joe Webb’s running ability. Like it has been said, this is our season so it is time to pull out all the stops.
