  1. Im not saying he can’t find one, just that so far has been pretty underwhelming. Devin has been ok at times, Moss has not been good. The rest of the list is poor but not much invested as I had stated. My response was about our interest in Isaiah Spiller who I think would be a poor choice. Another day 2 pick on a low RAS, slower guy would be disappointing. Especially when you factor in his fumbling history that gets running backs benched in Buffalo. But that has been the type of running back we have invested in so far. I am very much pro-Beane (tho not crowning him for Singletary seems to be treason around here) but would be nice to see us go for a running back with some athleticism.
  2. I wasn’t comparing, just letting him know who Matt Jones was.
  3. Matt Jones was a QB at Arkansas that changed positions to WR for the draft. Went first round to the Jags and busted.
  4. Singletary has had his moments. Moss, Chris Ivory, Frank Gore, TJ Yeldon, Matt Breida have been forgettable additions. Granted we have not spent a ton of capital on RBs in his era. Spiller to me would not be a very good pick, my concern being that he has fumbled 8 times on 615 touches over 3 years. The rest of his game is not special, kind of average all around imo.
  5. Beane has not been the best RB picker…
  6. Eagles kicking the can down the road for a better QB class?
  7. yea there are a few players I personally like better but I think he would be a very nice fit for the type of defense I expect them to run. you can tell me later, but do you prefer him or Quay?
  8. With the 67th pick in the 2022 TSW Draft, the New York Giants select, Christian Harris, LB, Alabama. The Houston Texans and @mannc are now on the clock. The Giants LB room is a mess with a hurt Blake Martinez being their best player. Last year, they relied on the corpse of Reggie Ragland (us Bills fans know you have to be desperate to do that). This pick came down to Quay Walker vs Christian Harris for me. Walker has that untapped upside but isn’t quite as splashy as Harris who has been a staple at Alabama for the past three years. His speed, blitzing ability and respectable run defense for a smaller linebacker makes him the choice. We feel like we have gotten difference makers on all three levels of the defense this draft.
  9. MSUs line was not that good and Walker had a heisman quality year this year. We should add OLine in the draft, but especially Guards can be had later on. Gotta expect Kromer, Saffold and more experience for Brown gives the line more effectiveness too.
  10. Kevin Harris is awesome
  11. In the real draft, Tyler Smith will be long gone. Though he would be a great pick. I think Kenneth Walker will be there though and that’s who I voted for. Us fans have been clamoring for an explosive back and he is it. He had 90+ long TD runs while he was at both MSU and Wake. We don’t know what kind of pass catcher he is bc he wasn’t used that way (neither was Motor in college). Willing blocker but needs a lot of help being more consistent in that area.
  12. I do think having the 4 picks on day 2 is the way to fill our biggest remaining needs. WR, CB, RB and OL. I like the idea a lot. But would the rebuilding Falcons want to move up? Maybe if Kenny Pickett is still there at 25?
  13. Has similarities to a former Panthers Beane-era first round draft pick, Shaq Thompson. I don’t think there is any way he makes it this long in the real draft. And despite our need at CB and WR, would not be surprised if the Bills are interested in him as early as our first pick. They were tied to another small school linebacker Kyle Dugger before the Pats scooped him early second. And Troy Anderson is a much better prospect.
  14. There is a lot going against him because he is just sooo small - and due to that he is likely to be undrafted, which would really make him a sleeper. But I’m going to go with Deven Thompkins at Utah State. Not only is he fast but he is physical and routinely won jump balls against single and double teams at like 5’7’’ and 155 pounds. On top of that he is a pretty awesome person off the field and high energy on the field. He may be too small to make it in the league, but he has some of that Steve Smith little dude energy. Not as big but faster.
  15. This is a huge part of it. Underthrown or not thrown at all when he was open. Watching Pierce made me realize Ridder should be a day 3 pick.
  16. With the 36th pick in the 2022 TSW Draft, the New York Giants select, Arnold Ebiketie, Edge, Penn State. The Houston Texans and @manncare now on the clock. The Giants are in desperate need of Edge production (one of many positional needs). We like Ebiketie’s explosion and length and that he has had major production at two schools, Temple and PSU. Though we thought about going with an off ball linebacker as their were several good ones on the board, we felt that a player with all the traits to get around the Edge was the right value at the start of the second round.
  17. We wound up with all three on our team at different points in their careers too
  18. Agreed, his secondary teammate Kyler Gordon seems like a more likely Bills pick than McDuffie but who knows, the Bills always surprise me
  19. I like Dotson as well but he is pretty small. Michigan really beat him up in their game and he got thrown off his routes frequently. Though to his credit he still had a productive day as he is a tough son of a gun. Probably will need to be schemed a free release at least at the beginning of his career so likely more of a slot guy. Though when he got free he is crafty, good routes and great hands.
  20. If you slapped a USC jersey on Khalil Shakir, people would call him Robert Woods. Pierce was held back by Ridder all year and was getting wide open vs Alabama without getting the ball. Christian Watson is a first round pick this year, would love him on the Bills.
  21. I thought about Daxton too I don’t think they will use a first round pick on a backup safety/big nickel player this year. I think 25 is too early for a RB too but think it is a remote possibility based on our roster holes.
  22. So if I’ve got this right, the best available seem to be: DB trent mcduffie Washington Kyler Gordon Washington IOL Zion Johnson Boston College WR Jahan Dotson PSU Christian Watson NDSU Skyy Moore WMU RB Breece Hall Iowa State Kenneth Walker III MSU
  23. Yea I agree with him that it is sickening that taxpayer money is going to this, but it is the cost of doing business. If the Bills were to leave due to a lack of stadium, we would never get them back (or if we did it would cost more money to relocate them back) and the deal seems to repay itself over time better than I was expecting (based on the info the study info that was in the Bnews article if I interpreted it right). Overall, I wish the $800 million could have been allocated to other things and Kim and Terry pay their own way. But, I am glad that the taxes are at least going towards something all of Buffalo can enjoy for the next 30 years.
  24. With the 7th pick of the 2022 TSW Draft, the New York Giants select Derek Stingley, CB, Louisiana State University The Atlanta Falcons and @Alphadawg7are now on the clock. After fortifying our offensive line, it is time to get after the quarterback. Their were a few defensive ends we considered but Wink Martindale loves putting his CBs on an island to get after the quarterback. We are concerned about Stingleys durability, but feel that with the right training staff we can bring out the best in him. A bit boom or bust but feel good about our odds.
  25. With the 5th pick of the 2022 TSW Draft, the New York Giants select Evan Neal, Offensive Tackle, University of Alabama. The Carolina Panthers and @BigdaddyinOrlando are now on the clock. Schoen and Dabs have made it a point to upgrade the OL this offseason. Dabs turns to his former college team to secure a premiere pass blocker as Daniel Jones gets one more year.
