  1. Yep time is now to move up and get one. Going into the year with OJ and Tommy Sweeney as TE2 and 3 is not super strong
  2. Darn Kolar is a good player for the Ravens
  3. Anddddd patriots take a 24 year old rookie running back
  4. Dolphins trying get get their version of Deebo with Ezukanma
  5. McDermott was here before and approved Beane, that’s all we need to know when wondering who is the one with more control
  6. The Bills WR is not terrible now, but it is thin. Sometimes you have to be aggressive and move up into those runs to be players in WRs or just move back and take your next best one. It would be nice to get a higher end guy in before we need him so he can develop before he is needed…like we seem to do with off ball LBs which are a much lesser value position. It is what it is, there are only so much money for free agents and draft picks each year but we have been very defense heavy lately (last big draft capital used on offense was Diggs and last big FA offense signing was 2019 when they signed Smoke, Beasley and OLineman) and it’s time to give Josh more help.
  7. Cook was a great pick! Those four I listed I all feel are better than Stevenson and Hodgins
  8. Id be good with Hassan Haskins to replace Taiwan on special teams and be the goal line back
  9. I think Calvin Austin will be gone soo my preferred draft from here on out would be: Trade up for Isaiah Likely TE CCU Trade up for Romeo Doubs WR Nevada Dohnovan West C/G ASU Jordan Stout P PSU How do I get this advice to McBeane?
  10. We knew hey were going to draft a LB bc all the sniffing around they did pre-draft. He has some talent. Backup off ball LB (we played 2 LBs 90% of the time last year) in the 3rd is just not the best asset allocation is all.
  11. Yea Beane is the GM but by McD’s own admission, McD is VERY involved in the draft. So who he wants he gets.
  12. Milano was a 5th round pick and starter Bernard is a 3rd round pick and backup But yes he may take over for Milano in two years when they can get out of his contract
  13. Since McDermott got here in 2017 and if you include the first rounder we used for Diggs, we have used 2 out of 7 first rounders on offense. Josh and Diggs. They need to put more premium assets to the offense. This year the WRs got scooped up, but the last time we have drafted a receiver before round three was Zay Jones 🤮 in 2017.
  14. Aaron Rodgers was mad when the Packers cut him!
  15. yes, I still don’t think Bolton is great but Chenel is going to be a problem for us. Hated seeing that.
  16. Yea I doubt it, he barely got any push back on Bernard which was one of the biggest reaches so far. Let’s hope he can snag one of the draftable prospects left. If he gets Romeo Doubs I will take back what I said because I think he is a third round talent.
  17. Yea, I like the Chiefs drafts. I thought last year how they rebuilt their line was masterful. They haven’t put high end assets into their receivers as I think Juju and MVS won’t be long for the roster I think Skyy will be a monster in that offense. As much as I hate the Chiefs, I hope the Bills take some notes on how to shape a roster with a super-contract QB from them.
  18. I don’t like Austin much. Pretty stiff when he is running, not as athletic as his testing and often hurt. Ross is intriguing. He has some very good tape but it has been overshadowed by injuries. If he can somehow overcome his injuries, he may be a steal. But I think he tested poorly because he is still trying to get past those injuries.
  19. The Chiefs draft has been ok. I would take our WR room over there’s today so that’s a positive. But unless we start investing higher end assets into it going forward, it won’t continue to be that way.
  20. Beane’s presser confirmed what I had expected. Said he, McD and Frazier all called Aranda about him and that they trust his opinion because he is a straight shooter. Beane says it will be up to coaches to figure out how to use him. Not exactly inspiring words from Beane, definitely a depth piece and ST initially. Hopefully he turns into something down the line like the heir to Milano. Still pretty bummed we took him in the third but maybe we will get someone in the 5th or 6th that wasn’t expected to fall and it will all kinda wash.
  21. The lack of investment in WR is frustrating. This year there has been an unprecedented run on them, I can’t remember one where 14 WRs went in the first three rounds like this year but that is due to the explosion in the cost of the WR market. So I can’t really blame the Bills for missing out this year However, our roster is starting to get expensive and with that it is starting to show its lack of depth. Next year we will have Diggs and Stephenson along with Davis, Hodgins and McKenzie all on the last year of their deals. Not exactly a world beating room for a team that wants to keep their fastball. And we currently have no TEs under contract for 2023, though hopefully Knox gets extended soon. As Josh has become the center of our team, I hope they do more in the future to support him. Even if it means creating a few holes in our defense along the way.
  22. Calvin Austin, Bo Melton, Khalil Shakir and Romeo Doubs are the only four WRs I have left as draftable. I hope they can get one…
  23. More likely a Milano replacement in a couple years…
  24. i had a lot of players I would have preferred too. I was not a fan of the Tre White pick either. McDermott trusts Aranda’s opinion and so they must see something bigger down the line for him though I am still disappointed we haven’t gotten more offensive help for Josh
  25. Total McDermott pick Baylor’s coach Dave Aranda is a close buddy of McD. I think this is a poor pick being the third round is early for him. they must have been worried he would go prior to our fifth round pick. However, last pick McDermott got Aranda’s insight on was Tre White as he had been Tre’s DC at LSU. So let’s hope they know a lot more than we do!
