Clemson almost lost to NC State the week before. Peterman played efficiently but beating a good team doesn't make a player. If he is a reliable backup, that's good.

Threw 53 mph at the combine. Not very good at Tennessee but got better in Pitt. If he amounts to anything more than a backup, I'll be very, very surprised. 5th round pick so it is whatever. Get Cardale out of here if he looks like crap again in camp.

I like this pick. I also like that this is the first sign that we don't mind doing some homework and picking a player that may have had some "character issues." For those that don't know, Dion had an incident at a night club in 2015. Those things happen when you're a young guy. I was worried that we needed our prospects to be perfect off the field. Glad to know that some sort of incident doesn't stop us from considerig a player.

I don't think we are going to be very good next year. But based on this draft, I think McD is drafting to compete right now. His CB and WR were very productive and experienced seniors. The OL was also a senior. I would have used this year to rebuild, I don't think that is McD's plan. I'm not a huge fan of our strategy but it'll certainly be interesting to see the product this year.
