  1. I certainly hope that is the route that we go, like what Carolina did last year. We have to be able to devalue some positions thanks to our offense and defensive schemes if we are ever going to catch good teams. But I'm just going off what McDermott said lately about cornerbacks: http://m.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Cornerback-important-in-McDermotts-defensive-scheme/9f3a5265-faf9-43c8-836b-d830d61db9d2 Now that doesn't mean that we are def drafting one high, but it makes me think we are going to put more resources in it than I thought at first.
  2. Really like the draft. Malik is gonna be a monster in the league and I'm of the opinion that our DLine needs new players ASAP. We went 4 years without drafting a DLineman between 2012 and 2015, gotta fix that and so I would love this move. However, I've bought into the Bills taking Trubisky. I think a trade down only happens if he is not there at 10 and I think if we trade down, it'll be for a LB. I just can't see Huber starting. I think we are gonna go CB early based off of some of what McDermott said with how important corners are in his system. I'd rather wait, but I think this is a pretty good guess as to who the pick may actually be.bonus points in Whaleys eye for him being from clemson. I like Godwin the player a lot and I think the Bills value the WR position. Plus, Pegs will love a PSU guy. If I was GM'ing. I don't draft a WR before day 3, just due to the sheer volume of players leaving college, I think you can get a good player later on. The rest of your draft is solid. We need to start drafting some OL players. Cyrus is weird and his contract is almost up, Wood is old, Ritchie is older and Mills sucks. We are in for a world of hurt if we don't start adding assets to the line soon. I think we may spend a couple more back end picks on CB/S/LB like you did. Overall, good job!
  3. 1. Mike Williams : - Tennessee Titans 2. Corey Davis : - Baltimore Ravens 3. Malik Hooker : - LA Chargers 4. OJ Howard : - Miami Dolphins 5 Mitch Trubisky : - Buffalo Bills Bills Pick (bonus) : - Mitch Trubisky
  4. If Trub turns out great, trading up will be worth it. I'd rather take Mahomes at 10 but I won't be picky as long as the QB we draft is a franchise QB.
  5. That ending schedule is strange. Don't see much to complain about this year. No Pats off their bye. Like to get that bye a little later than week 6. I'm optimistic for some type of surprise turnaround now! Go Bills!
  6. I actually believe Leroi has some sources, doesn't mean I don't want him to be wrong Lol Many people want a WR. I'm not one of them this year, so you are right, depends on the person. Remember that DT was drafted in the 20s, not the top 10. We don't know what Davis's speed is like because he hasn't been able to work out. If he turns out to be DT or Dez, would he be worth it? Yea. Will he be? I don't think so, just don't see the same talent. Love this good discussion tho!
  7. Oh god, my eyes. Thomas is good, I like that we are at least thinking DL. We need more talent there asap. Kyle won't play forever. Lattimore is a great prospect. I was hoping that we would devalue the CB position with us playing zone but at least we'd be getting a good player in a tough position. Now the crap that I'm afraid we would pull.... Corey Davis. Good player. Not a top 10 type WR imo. Maybe with Dennison, they are thinking of letting Tyrod or a rookie throw a bunch. I still think we can get good WRs later in the draft. Especially when you got a WR like Davis who is not that special jmo. Ross would be Whaley trying to hit his Mike Wallace - what Goodwin and Listenbee haven't been. Problem is that Wallace was a 3rd round pick. Good WR, rather have him than Davis bc I think he at least has the chance to be special but I'd be really worried about those injuries. OJ Howard. Would we really dare drafting a guy with the first name OJ and a guy with the last name Kelly in the same draft? OJ is a pick I don't completely hate but would rather go elsewhere. I remember in 2009, Brandon Pettigrew was highly touted and he turned in a blah career. OJ is far more athletic and as good a blocker so maybe he would turn out better, but when has a TE ever been a difference maker on a championship team? Pats won without Gronk, Graham and Gonzalez never made the Super Bowl, etc. also, I heard their were concerns he wasn't all in for football, didn't love the game. Gotta consider that nowadays when players walk away earlier. TL;DR not a great board, I hope it is wrong and we go elsewhere or trade down for most of these players.
  8. Terrible. This happens quite often, unfortunately. Which is why backup cameras are now standard in any new cars.
  9. 2 freaking WRs. If it's true, we are still so so dumb. Not crazy about TE either.
  10. After their "news" report, they literally copied and pasted from this bleacher report article posted last Friday http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2701516-2017-nfl-free-agents-every-teams-best-remaining-option-on-the-market
  11. OL is a huge need. Not a great year for tackles tho. With Tyrod projected to start, I think they put off REALLY addressing Tackle one more year and go QB, defense in the first two rounds.
  12. QB. McD will get the guy he rides or dies with like many new coaches do their first year. I'm not sure which prospect it will be - I hope it's Mahomes - but I think that is the position.
  13. Rather have Jordan Willis but kid has good potential too. Love to see us looking at DLineman. We need to add more and more talent there with Kyle close to retirement, Dareus with suspensions the past few years and Shaq unproven.
  14. Did we get any official measurements? He has good talent but his injuries are going to continue to drag down his draft stock.
  15. There are so many spread offenses in college now that I think WR valuation needs to go the way of the RB. They are a dime a dozen with a couple elites that come out every so often. What we are doing with a bunch of cheap guys vying for spots 2-6 is perfect for me. Especially with Clay and McCoy eating up some of the precious targets our offense has. Every draft I want us to value positions in this order, QB, OL, DL, LB, CB, S, WR, RB. Since that is the order it is as far as how hard it is to find good players at those positions. Of course, draft BPA but be positionally smart with talent tiebreakers.
  16. Just put the Sabres or the Bills under Kim's name like Kroenke did with his son. That rule isn't much of an impediment.
  17. That's right. Pegula has voted in favor of all the recent relocations. It's only a matter of time that the NFL will come demanding a very publicly funded stadium in Buffalo like they got in Las Vegas. Maybe Terry will put up his own money, but I'll be surprised. Then the question is, do you want your taxes spent on a new stadium? I feel bad for the fans but respect the cities that have said no. Sports are great, but hardly essential.
  18. Good deal! Guy was stuck behind some good players, maybe he can get his shot here.
  19. Good question, it's tough to give up the game you love. It's becoming harder and harder for me to keep supporting it knowing what former players are going through. I will always be a Bills fan, but I may have to stop supporting the sport out of my own conscious. I'm not sure when the tipping point will be because I do love the sport and the Bills so much.
  20. Truth. Foster is overrated. Reddick is amazing. Mack Lite.
  21. That's right, it was Blackmon. And he beat Blackmon up all game long. Scouting report sounds about right, good fit for a zone corner. Don't expect a superstar but chance to be a solid depth player.
  22. I like the Leonard Johnson signing. I remember he played amazing in college against Michael Crabtree and helped Iowa State upset Texas Tech when they were the second ranked team in the country. Wasn't sure what happened to him, interested to see how he does here.
