We spent a lot of time vetting TEs in the pre-draft. Of those left, the ones that make the most sense are: James Mitchell - Injured but could develop into a TE1 Gerrit Prince - former WR, averaged 19 ypc Jalen Wydermeier- I think he will go undrafted but Bills had him for a top 30 -

College is different from pros, I think slot is best for him so he gets free releases off the line like he did in a lot of his pass sets at Boise. Arms are short so pressed can hang him up a bit. Very excited for him on this team, type of player we needed -

Yea he is a slot guy mostly but reminds me a lot of Robert Woods in how he plays. Good blocker. Could see him starting in the slot by the end of the year due to that. -

about time…best players left are all on defense unfortunately On offense, Shakir, Melton, James Mitchell and Gerrit Prince would all be good, Dohnovan West as well -

Yep time is now to move up and get one. Going into the year with OJ and Tommy Sweeney as TE2 and 3 is not super strong -

McDermott was here before and approved Beane, that’s all we need to know when wondering who is the one with more control
-
The Bills WR is not terrible now, but it is thin. Sometimes you have to be aggressive and move up into those runs to be players in WRs or just move back and take your next best one. It would be nice to get a higher end guy in before we need him so he can develop before he is needed…like we seem to do with off ball LBs which are a much lesser value position. It is what it is, there are only so much money for free agents and draft picks each year but we have been very defense heavy lately (last big draft capital used on offense was Diggs and last big FA offense signing was 2019 when they signed Smoke, Beasley and OLineman) and it’s time to give Josh more help.

Cook was a great pick! Those four I listed I all feel are better than Stevenson and Hodgins -
Id be good with Hassan Haskins to replace Taiwan on special teams and be the goal line back
-
I think Calvin Austin will be gone soo my preferred draft from here on out would be: Trade up for Isaiah Likely TE CCU Trade up for Romeo Doubs WR Nevada Dohnovan West C/G ASU Jordan Stout P PSU How do I get this advice to McBeane?

Rd 3, Pick 89 (25): LB Terrell Bernard, Baylor
LEBills replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
We knew hey were going to draft a LB bc all the sniffing around they did pre-draft. He has some talent. Backup off ball LB (we played 2 LBs 90% of the time last year) in the 3rd is just not the best asset allocation is all. -
Yea Beane is the GM but by McD’s own admission, McD is VERY involved in the draft. So who he wants he gets.

Milano was a 5th round pick and starter Bernard is a 3rd round pick and backup But yes he may take over for Milano in two years when they can get out of his contract -
Since McDermott got here in 2017 and if you include the first rounder we used for Diggs, we have used 2 out of 7 first rounders on offense. Josh and Diggs. They need to put more premium assets to the offense. This year the WRs got scooped up, but the last time we have drafted a receiver before round three was Zay Jones 🤮 in 2017.
