  1. Not very explosive numbers, but he did show off pretty big catching range in college and the CFL that look better than his measurements. no one should expect him to do much, but you never know if we can find another Robert Foster lottery ticket somewhere.
  2. Played his college ball at Auburn. Spent last 2 years in CFL. 25 years old and led the CFL in receiving last year: https://www.tsn.ca/former-eskimos-wr-williams-signs-with-bills-1.1237089
  3. We need to dump resources into the OL, just like the Colts did.
  4. He is something like 13-11 when crappy Tanny isn’t out. With Darnold looking decent, rather they not pair up.
  5. This is a great story and shows the type of leadership Shady brings to the locker room...even when he is not producing on the field. Foster sounded a little cocky as an UDFA, the first time. Good job Shady waking him up.
  6. Barkley is a great QB2. Def no threat to Allen, more than ok with his role, and has been a guy who can win a few games and not throw never ending interceptions. plus he really seems to be a good teammate, a team first guy and he and Allen seem to really like each other and have fun with each other. Like when Josh finally started following him on Instagram lol: https://mobile.twitter.com/BradleyGelber/status/1075846141634330625/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fd-4092644811321900828.ampproject.net%2F1812131718380%2Fframe.html
  7. If I had to guess, based on his form, he didn’t train for the 40 much. Rather he focused more on actual quarterbacking since that was his “weakness.” And he wowed from that standpoint at the combine.
  8. This is a post you made back in 2017 comparing the class of Trubisky, Mahomes and Watson to the 2013 NFL Draft QB class. Now you are saying Mahomes has ALWAYS been an elite passer. Perhaps, it wasn’t quite that easy to see back then? And I’m someone hoping we clean house after the season to bring in an offensive minded coach for Josh Allen. Cause with good coaching and the right talent around him I think he can be like one of those 2017 QBs.
  9. Really...? You don’t think Crossman is responsible for putting McCloud on punts...especially after he muffed the kickoff. or how about the poor punt protection that led to a block? All the Texans points came off of our turnovers. How about damn illegal formation penalties negating all of our successful offensive plays? We are the team with the second most pre snap penalties going into today. That’s all on coaching. our defensive coaching was good today. We sucked at everything else and we still may have been able to keep it a game and take it to OT if we didn’t dial up a peterman sideline throw on our two minute drive. I think your your observations are usually very good, I think you are off base on this point.
  10. What is crazy is we are probably a better team than Houston. except our coaching sucks and we failed having a competent backup for when our starting QB finally got hit hard enough behind our cheap offensive line. Get rid of McD. Get a real offensive minded coach in here to try and Jared Goff Josh Allen.
  11. Can’t wait for Derek Anderson to be ready to start.... No one has ever said that
  12. This is the second game this year that our special teams have been embarrassing. That is all on coaching. This is on top of the offensive debacle we have had all season. Disappointing, McD.
  13. Depending on what we get back, I’d be good with it. Good for Shady to get some wins and to get to 12000 yards. Agholor straight up or a third would be good for me imo.
  14. He had some off target throws but looked good for the most part. Started identifying blitzes a little pre snap. He is a rookie and has done pretty good. All we need is growth and I’ve definitely seen that.
  15. Numbers? Allen and Mahomes are similar in that they are both athletic, big armed QBs that can throw off platform. If you want to dismiss that because Mahomes put up numbers in an air raid offense and put up huge numbers whereas Allen was in a quasi pro-style offense outside of the power 5, that’s up to you. And Mahomes came out of college with a lot of questions about how his playing style would translate to the NFL. Allen may never be as good as Mahomes but that wasn’t my point. The biggest difference right now is how we are nurturing our QB. Mahomes has been set up for success, Allen not so much.
  16. Mahomes is talented, but what you are really coveting on the first day of October is Andy Reid. The guy is great with QBs and always spends premium capital to surround them with a good OL and good skill positions. He knows how to turn Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick and Alex Smith into top performing regular season quarterbacks. Patrick Mahomes is what Josh Allen can be. Unfortunately, our team is set up the exact opposite from how the chiefs are set up so it’s just gonna be a lot harder for our guy. for that, you have to blame Beane and McDermott.
  17. Mangini beat them with the Browns as well
  18. Allen Looks awesome! D playing the football that got us to the playoffs last year!
  19. Giants, Cowboys, Broncos and Titans will all be looking. Jaguars may be too but will probably be too high up to trade up too high.
  20. Raiders are the worst off overall bc their owner is poor. They will move to Vegas and be a little better with cash flow. But they are stuck in a cash to cap mentality and have already blown their money on Gruden and Carr, neither of which are very good. This bye bye to Mack. Arizonas defense has played a little better but they’ve actually scored less points than us. I think they are a little more talented but coaching is not very good and Bradford looks like crap. id put us at third worst due to all of our dead cap. Also not sure about our talent evaluators/GM to build the team up. Though I do love Allen as a QB and hope we can help him before we ruin him.
  21. They are...even their first round pick thinks so
  22. So this point in particular is the most disconcerting to me. Unlike position groups like OLine or linebacker, most special teams units across the league are made up of similar talent as it is mostly depth players. When a special teams unit faulters multiple times in multiple games, it is a direct indictment of coaching. Sure Castillo doesn’t seem to be a great OL coach but his players are untalented too. For our special teams to be outclassed heavily these past two weeks, that is entirely coaching. whether it was cutting our experienced punter, not recovering the loose fumble vs Balt, not calling a fair catch inside the 10 and getting blown up (and eventually getting Taiwan Jones injured), or not being able to down a punt at the one that had a player in position to do so, these are all things that show a lack of preparation by our team. Our team will get better as the year goes along, but the special teams being such a mess right now is a big indictment of our coaching staff and McDermott. He needs to get these detail related problems taken care of ASAP. Our team did better with preparation related penalties from game 1 to game 2 (again something a coach should be able to control), but McD certainly is showing his inexperience these first two weeks. Let’s hope he can tighten this up bc to me these are the little things that determine whether a coach can be long term successful. Talent fluctuates, how a coach prepares his team to perform should be consistent if you are going to be long term successful.
  23. Back when Mannning threw 55tds in a season, the Jags were +28 at Denver. The jags kept it within 28 points?
  24. Or trade him to Cleveland for Josh Gordon! The iron is hot!
