  1. There wouldn't have been a choice, really. If we had to play this week it's Peterman or Webb at QB.
  2. In a calendar year he went from RB coach to HC. Yeah, fired was a poor description for what happened to Lynn.
  3. I'll just say it's good for him that he has an entire offseason to recover instead of just a week.
  4. The difference is you'd have an ex-QB calling the plays instead of an ex-LB.
  5. I like Gabriel & Richardson in FA, and I like Anthony Miller in the draft.
  6. Why are we only keeping 22 members of a playoff roster and letting go of 31, several of which are under contract and would actually cost us money to cut?
  7. No. Ultimately, in roughly 5 quarters of play Peterman went 25/52 (48.1%) for 266 yards, 2 TDs, and 6 INTs. He also ran 8 times for 27 yards, 0 TDs, and had 3 Fumbles.
  8. Zay's skillset is slot receiver. He's younger, cheaper, and under contract for 3 more years.
  9. No thanks on Matthews. His skillset is redundant here. Spend that money on a Paul Richardson or Taylor Gabriel and it'll be better put to use.
  10. I suspect we'll see KB, Zay, Thompson, Streater, Holmes, Reilly, and Dupre through camp, plus an FA and maybe a rookie
  11. I'll have my standard take, the same one I took when they decided to start Peterman. I disagree with the decision, but I'm willing to see how it goes. Ultimately you have to expect some mistakes to be made along the way by a first time HC. How the HC responds to and learns from those mistakes is far more important to me than the mistakes themselves.
  12. The Bills brought in very good football minds this past offseason, Gaine included. I believe part of their sell to get many of these guys to accept lateral moves was that they would give them more responsibility and allow them to leave if they had an opportunity to move up. Offering a similar deal to another young promising personnel man will make the spot easy to fill.
  13. Unfortunately that isn't a promotion. All assistants are considered the same level, even coordinators. And, in looking at the league, and the list of potential suitors, Dennison is certainly a buck in the trend. Of the 34 OC's & respected offensive minds I looked at: - only 2 primarily played defense in their playing days. Dennison & O'Brien. - 2 Didn't play, but learned under established coaches (Haley & Hackett). - 2 played OL (Shurmur & Goodwin). - 1 played RB (Robiskie) - 4 played WR/TE (Morton, Chudzinski, Whisenhunt, Shanahan) - The remaining 25 all played QB at at least the collegiate level.
  14. Yes, as a HC. OC would be less responsibility. I think it's a stretch that he comes here, but I love the idea of replacing the LB playcaller with the QB playcaller.
  15. No, no, no. Any criticism whatsoever of Peterman is an excuse for Tyrod's play. I've been down this road with these same posters. You don't even have to mention Tyrod, but you're clearly defending him by pointing out someone else's awful play.
  16. 5 years, $135M That's a full contract younger than Smith though.
  17. I think it's easier for people to reconcile low production with flashes of explosiveness compared to over an INT per quarter played.
  18. I think Gaines gets an offer that the Bills don't care to match, unfortunately. I'd like to see Johnson, Humber, and Thompson back all as depth.
  19. We'll see how the offseason plays out, but I wouldn't be surprised if we take a step back next year in the W/L column. Lots of turnover coming in the next 6 months.
  20. It'd be nice if someone on our Offensive staff moving forward had experience playing QB in the NFL instead of LB.
  21. I'm actually quite comfortable with KB at X and Zay in the Slot moving forward. I like Thompson as well, but more as a WR4. We need a solid Z that can take the top off a defense.
  22. 1 of those 6 was a Blizzard, another he left after his first catch in the 1st quarter. Still should be more than 16, but it's not like he played 6 full games.
