FA DT - someone like Star Lotulelei or Bennie Logan
Draft DT early: Vita Vea, Taven Bryan, Da'ron Payne, or Harrison Phillips
Draft EDGE Day 2 or early Day 3: Duke Ejiofor, Clelin Ferrell, Austin Bryant, Rasheem Green, Chad Thomas
The best Minny ever achieved under Teddy was dead average in points scored? They were 22nd and 16th in DVOA, neither of which is remarkable either.
And it's not our fault that you're choosing to back up a QB who provides very similar pass production to Tyrod, without any of the added rushing, coming off a catastrophic knee injury. It's a really strange hill to die on, honestly.
The big difference is one can and does strain a defense by using his legs, the other doesn't.
The problem is that if you look at the totality of their NFL careers Teddy has never been superior to Tyrod, and has now gone through a catastrophic knee injury. I would predict he looks like his career average at 80%.
And I asked you to look at the last year that they both played. You know, Tyrod's first year starting in the NFL? Or just look at their career averages. Why ignore 1/2 to 2/3 of a player's history?
You aren't getting 2015 Teddy back either, and he wasn't even good then.
I don't think Hughes or Glenn get cut, but I definitely believe they're on the block. If we can get a 2nd or 3rd for Glenn and a 4th or so for Hughes while also saving over $4.5M each then I think it happens.
In Glenn's case specifically, if they see Dawkins as a viable LT, then they could get an additional 3rd round selection, free up $4.85M in cap space, and select an OT on Day 1 or Day 2 to compete with Mills on the right side.
If they can get a 4th for Hughes while freeing up $4.6M in cap space, then all of a sudden you have over $9M in freed up cap to sign an impactful FA D-Lineman as well as an additional pick early on Day 3.

Signing KB to a longer term deal and voiding the 5th year option could lower his number, but that's in a different vein that this topic I suppose.
I'd invite anyone I can to watch the very first play of the game Sunday. Clay catches a pass and is tackled by Gipson, who proceeds to stand over Clay and chrip at him, continue to chirp at him after he gets up, and nearly follows him to our huddle while still chirping. If there was a team that set the tone for trash talk, it was Jacksonville.
