  1. All of those were based on their published big boards rather than their mock drafts. Here's the QBs in the top 100 from Matt Miller's past boards, for comparison: 2018: 5 - Rosen, 7 - Darnold, 11 - Allen, 13 - Mayfield, 38 - Rudolph, 81 - Jackson, 88 - Litton 2017: 14 - Trubisky, 22 - Watson, 37 - Mahomes, 41 - Kizer, 64 - Webb, 81 - Peterman, 99 - Kaaya 2016: 5 - Goff, 9 - Wentz, 38 - Lynch, 100 - Hackenberg 2015: 1 - Winston, 11 - Mariota, 63 - Petty, 81 - Hundley 2014: 1 - Bridgewater, 12 - Manziel, 15 - Carr, 21 - Bortles, 46 - Mettenberger, 64 - Murray, 65 - Garoppolo, 82 McCarron 2013: 14 - Smith, 33 - Barkley, 49 - Nassib, 50 - Manuel, 76 - Wilson 2012: 1 - Luck, 2 - RG3, 44 - Cousins, 46 - Tannehill, 50 - Weeden, 68 - Osweiler 2011: 15 - Newton, 41 - Kaepernick, 48 - Gabbert, 66 - Taylor, 72 - Ponder So this is the first time in the last 8 years at least that there have been 4 QBs in the top 32, let alone the top 13.
  2. Not necessarily all in the top 15, but: Matt Miller has Rosen, Darnold, Allen, and Mayfield all in the top 13 of his big board (not mock, just big board. so not projecting them up) Mel Kiper has Allen, Rosen, Darnold, and Mayfield all in the top 13 of his big board Draftek has Rosen, Rudolph, Jackson, and Darnold in their top 21 USA Today has Rosen, Jackson, Mayfield, and Darnold in their top 20 CBS has Rudolph, Jackson, Rosen, and Darnold in their top 21 Walter Football has Rosen, Jackson, Darnold, and Allen in his top 32
  3. There are 2 guys in the draft that check all of the classic Parcells boxes: Mason Rudolph and Baker Mayfield. One other meets them in spirit, in my opinion, in Riley Ferguson. Doesn't meet the starts because the coach that recruited him left and he had transfer complications.
  4. 21: R1P21 LB RASHAAN EVANS ALABAMA 22: R1P22 QB MASON RUDOLPH OKLAHOMA STATE 53: R2P21 RB RASHAAD PENNY SAN DIEGO STATE 56: R2P24 WR ANTHONY MILLER MEMPHIS 95: R3P31 DL TIM SETTLE VIRGINIA TECH 123: R4P21 EDGE DUKE EJIOFOR WAKE FOREST 160: R5P21 LB MICAH KISER VIRGINIA 168: R5P29 OT BRANDON PARKER NORTH CAROLINA A&T
  5. Check out Oren Burks from Vanderbilt.
  6. The full streak was actually 21 consecutive games... But Tyrod doesn't throw to WRs
  7. I get the feeling he'll be gone before round 3 even starts.
  8. Draft: Tim Settle FA: Taylor Gabriel
  9. He had the best year of his career, yes. He's also the QB that went something like 19 straight games without a TD pass to a WR. He's a 1 year rental version of Case Keenum, but older and with even more mediocrity in his past. EDIT: Looked it up, 21 straight games without a TD pass to a WR. I'd love to see this place even a quarter of the way through that streak...
  10. One of our 2 first round picks and One of our 2 second round picks, I'd imagine.
  11. Under normal circumstances I'd say he's worth a 3rd. In this case, he's a 1 year, $17M rental. 4th at best unless the deal includes an extension. I might be prone to offering a 2019 conditional pick based on starts, performance, or a playoff appearance. Something like a 2019 4th, that can become a 3rd if he starts a playoff game for us, which becomes a 2nd if he starts in a conference championship game.
  12. I find it very strange that the OP's phone would autocorrect 'would the Bills ever consider' to 'not'
  13. We were prepping 80+ for each game. We only ran ~50 through the entire game, including duplicates.
  14. If Jackson was there when our 2nd round pick rolled around and we hadn't taken a QB yet then I'd take him I suppose.
  15. Virginia Tech Hokies: Tremaine Edmunds, LB: At 6'5" 235 he has room to fill out his frame a bit at the next level. I do not see him as a solution at MLB, but he could fit as an OLB on day 2. He has shown decent coverage skills on TEs and RBs and he's coming off back to back 100+ tackle seasons. Terrell Edmunds, S: 6'2" 220. I think Terrell is probably a day 2 pick as well, and I don't see us spending that premium pick on safety depth. I'd be happy to have him on the team though. Adonis Alexander, CB: 6'3" 200 and a very willing tackler. He has very good size for the position, and while he has played mostly man coverage he does well in zone as well. He's lacking a bit in off-man, but otherwise impressive. I can see him improving his stock at workouts, he's a bit of a freak. Alexander was suspended from the team at one point for marijuana possession, but has otherwise kept his nose pretty clean. Could provide versatility in the NFL by playing safety and nickel CB without needing a sub. If he's around early day 3 I'm not opposed to using a pick on him. Tim Settle, DT: 6'3" 335. Tim's technically a nose tackle, but he has the skillset of a penetrating 3-tech. He's still young, and he doesn't always show up in the stat sheet because he's commanding double teams 90% of the time. Hot take of this post - Settle is the 2nd best fit at DT for us in this draft behind Vea. If we took him at 22 I'd be perfectly happy. Brandon Facyson, CB: 6'2" 195. He has size and has flashed a good skillset, but has been plagued with injuries that have hampered him ever since his impressive freshman year. Maybe worth a 5th round flyer, but buyer beware on durability. Greg Stroman, CB: 6'0" 180. Good footwork and speed, but slender for the next level. I can see him doing well at nickel CB and being a return specialist. I'd be okay with using a day 3 pick on him.
  16. And based on the expected FAs available, I think pass rush and linebacker get pushed up the draft priority list while DT & WR can adequately be addressed in FA Though I think we'll need to draft a DT in addition to the FA.
  17. How many people's heads would explode if we traded up to 10 and took Smith, then selected Rudolph at 21?
  18. Here's what I posted yesterday, which utilized 2 different trade value charts: Posted yesterday at 10:02 AM Okay, so the major assumptions I'm making here is that no players are involved in the trades, and I have not considered the teams in these picks or their needs. Based on estimates of the picks we will have, here's what we've got: 1st overall pick: - Based on the new trade chart we cannot get the 1st overall pick - Based on the old trade chart we would need to give: - 1-21, 1-22, Future 1st, 2-21, 2-24, Future 2nd, and 3-31 2nd overall pick: - Based on the new trade chart we would need to give: - 1-21, 1-22, Future 1st, 2-24 - Based on the old trade chart we would need to give: - 1-21, 1-22, Future 1st, 2-21, Future 2nd, 3-31 3rd overall pick: - Based on the new trade chart we would need to give: - 1-22, Future 1st, 2-21, 3-31 - Based on the old trade chart we would need to give: - 1-21, 1-22, 2-21, 2-24 4th overall pick: - Based on the new trade chart we would need to give: - 1-22, Future 1st, 2-24, 3-31 - Based on the old trade chart we would need to give: - 1-22, Future 1st, 2-24, Future 2nd, 3-31 5th overall pick: - Based on the new trade chart we would need to give: - 1-22, Future 1st, 2-24 - Based on the old trade chart we would need to give: - 1-22, Future 1st, 2-24, Future 2nd 10th overall pick: - Based on the new trade chart we would need to give: - 1-22, 2-21, 4-21 - Based on the old trade chart we would need to give: - 1-22, Future 1st, 3-31
  19. Same reason as Peterman, Josh Dobbs was a better college QB? Just a guess haha
  20. I mean, his first choice didn't sign with us. Isn't everyone after that technically a compromise?
  21. DT, QB, CB, and WR are the big ticket spots that have FA Options worth pursuing. After that, maybe an OL if they decide to tinker a bit there. Not a fan of the LBs or EDGE guys available, and would prefer youth in my RB2.
  22. He might even know where they tend to hide the bugs in the visitor's locker room!
  23. This thread seems incredibly silly. I honestly don't care who is under center for the Bills, it really doesn't matter. If the FO and Coaching Staff isn't putting that player in the best possible position to succeed then they aren't doing their job properly. Why would any team not build around the best QB on their roster?
  24. I don't disagree, but I think it can also be argued that the more experience a QB gets with the system, the more they can abuse the nuances of it. I don't mind if the vet they bring in isn't top shelf if they have experience running the system and diagnosing defenses efficiently.
  25. Now that OC is in place, can you think of any experienced vets that are familiar with the E-P language and concepts?
