Josh Allen gets his perfect Christmas gift: Elvis Presley
Sojourner replied to RobbRiddick's topic in The Stadium Wall
Suspicious Minds will say he needs to focus on football. A Little Less Conversation if you will. Really, You Gotta Stop. Go Clean Up Your Own Back Yard, your Hound Dog is making a Mess of Blues. Josh is King of The Whole Wide World. The Big Boss Man. Bossa Nova Baby! -
First it was the Atlanta Falcons, now the Phoenix Suns

LOL Dude, not to turn this into a basketball thing but that is a blank statement that people reference. Those Bulls teams were stacked with talent, on the level James has had only during his Miami year career. It’s not a snub to be compared to Lebron. In no way shape or form. Lebron has an insane career. 280 games averaging 28 points a year… that’s playoffs alone. 5x defensive first team. 13x nba first team 4x championships 4x finals mvp 1200+ straight games of 10 points. First player to pass 6/7/8000 playoff points. 20. TWENTY. Straight seasons of averaging 20ppg. That’s just a handful. Your arguments of “someone who showed up every day”, “played better than everyone” “made everyone better” is LeBron. You need a team and a front office. James had that in his prime @ Miami and he’s come out and stated the only reason he left Cleveland was because they were giving him role players he turned into talent. Again, I’m a Jordan fan. He’s #1 in my book but in no way shape or form is comparing him to Lebron instead of MJ a situation that should be one or the other. That’s like Montana is better than Brady because he won all his Superbowls… You don’t have the records and stats Lebron has by “whining” dude. Come on. A focused competitor is a guy who smashes records. Be it with one team or 3. LeBron comparison is as much a compliment as MJ. Very simple.

Dude, I’m a Jordan guy through and through but if we get Josh for career vs career. I’ll take Josh as Lebron instead of Jordan. LeBron can pretty much do it all in his career. Low block. Shooting. Perimeter O & D. Titles to boot. Never seen a guy who literally has and can play all 5 basketball positions and play them well. Couple that with a career that will probably never be repeated in terms of accomplishments and longevity, yeah. I’ll take that comparison all day.

Why do you think that? They’re tied with Baltimore going into tonight @ 9-5. Surely they’d want the 5 seed? -

Whoever loses tonight, they need them to lose out. -

Seeding and seeding alone. 5th seed essentially. -

Never say never but they’re never making the playoffs lol They need to win out, have Denver and Chargers lose out and have the Dolphins AND Colts to lose one or more games each. -

I can’t remember what podcast it was but they were talking about the top guys in the NFL right now and someone brought up Herbert as being a definitive top 5 guy. When you look at the statistics alone, it definitely appears that way. But like many of us has said on this forum, he just doesn’t look the way his stats represent. Weird enigma of a situation. -

Pretty similar for either outcome of o remember correctly. With a Denver win, they obviously have to win out, have the Colts lose once and have the Ravens And/Or Chargers lose out. Chargers win? Exactly the same as above except the Broncos would have to lose out in addition to Ravens and Chargers. -

Serious question, what are the thoughts of this Broncos team? Legit now or just great growing pains and become legit next season? -
Didnt say I respect it. I pointed out, regarding Josh, that he’s above gimping around. And to repeat, if a defender is making a bone head error in unnecessary contact or roughness then I have no problem with Josh dramatizing it a little. That is the defenders fault. Your own guy has a panache for doing exactly the same. The difference, and I’m obviously having to repeat myself, Mahomes isn’t punched in the head or has his genitals grabbed and roughed up by players in a pile up or scrum. It happens to Josh on the regular. I’m failing to understand the contradiction or even criticism of the coaching staff lol. There’s none. I pointed out I had an injury and my coaches kept me from playing. Essentially the same with Mahomes. Merely alluding that the injury isn’t as bad for him as has been reported or led to believe if he’s fully participating in practice…

Every player flops to a degree. The QBs I don’t even have a problem with as it’s always free yards. Again, that’s the defenders fault. Like we’ve seen with Josh and heard from Taron on this year alone, you can get away with stuff in the middle of a pile up or scrum for the ball. I get them standing behind Mahomes, I do. They should. But to reference Josh and his theatrics as that on par with Patrick is a wild take. Exactly like you referenced, the dudes had serious injuries and played it off. Pat, if he’s fully practicing like reports, has given the appearance that injuries twice this year seem like they could be severe if not borderline catastrophic. We were all lead to believe he’s going to miss time when he probably doesn’t. And again, it’s exactly like you closed that post with… Josh has had injuries where he should have missed time but was still playing. That says it all imo.

If Allen, or even someone other than Lamar (Saquon?), wins the MVP this year that’s fine I guess. I can accept that. But if they do in fact give it to Lamar again then there needs to fundamentally be an investigation into the voting process and it’s members. Every single vote should have transparency from this year and last and an explanation as to why, if Lamar does win, they voted for him. Josh had a better stat line and had the Bills only 2 games behind as the #2 seed. Lamar, whilst I agree has the more efficient stat line this year can’t walk away with it over even Jalen Hurts, Goff, Saquon and Josh. Not when the way it panned out last year. Curious what people behind Lamar with that stats have to say about last years MVP and the stats for Josh when coupled with the Bills record against that of Lamar and the Ravens this year.

He is above gimping around. 100%. He’s come away with plenty of injuries and it wasn’t made known until after the game or once he dragged himself to the sideline. The point you’re initially referencing is Allen and his theatrics. No problem with it personally, a player wants to hit him when he’s giving up and he sells it. That’s the defenders fault. They want to clash helmets and talk smack with him when the play is over? That’s on the defender. Guess you still believe Chris Jones aiming his leg to Josh’s knee on the “phantom” tripping play is acceptable. Several times this season alone we’ve seen players punching and hitting Josh that haven’t been penalized or even referenced by the league or its review process. Can’t blame the guy for selling the acting classes. Patty is just as good so you can’t even go there on that one. And myself, yes. Twice during my playing years I had a high ankle sprain. Coaches refused to let me play until at least two weeks of healing which meant missing a game. And I’m not worth half a billion dollars. But to your initial point, if anyone gimps around or plays an act with injuries, it’s Patrick. Absolutely. He’s done it already this in his career.

Penix officially replaces Kirk Cousins in ATL
Sojourner replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I took it as a pun. After reading your response, I hope I was right. 😬 -
This is my feeling, and hope. They roll with Wentz against the Texans but lose narrowly. Feel they can run it again with him seeing as it’s such a short turnaround against Pittsburgh and drop another. That leaves Denver. If Mahomes is 100% he plays but if there’s still reservations regarding the ankle, what do they do? You know Denver is itching for payback on earlier’s result.

Yeah, thanks I know that. I’m just using an example of a massive contract that a team absorbed to get rid of a player.
