Debartolo’s and York’s are from Youngstown. Ohio. Also, they all have Norte Dame as their Alma mater. Indiana. -

Penix officially replaces Kirk Cousins in ATL

Well maybe, but if it pans out the same as the Russell Wilson & Denver scenario where the current team is on the hook for absorbing most of the finances, it very may well happen. Giants/Raiders/Browns might all try and get his services imo. -

Hailee found their surrogate! Definitely a football star if it’s a boy! -
Absolutely. I’ll always love Stefon for what he put on the field here but when it came down to crunch time we more often than not forced the ball his way to suffice the team morale it seems. That’s fine in the regular season but you can’t skate by on that in the post season. He’s not big or fast enough to dominate in anything other than the technical finesse of route running, bracketing him with coverage essentially removed him. Similar to basketball, if a player is predominantly dominant and successful with only one side then you force the drive/dribble the opposite. This group of players exude joy when a teammate is making any sort of play. No matter how big or small and thankfully makes the team less inclined to funnel production towards one specific player. Make no bone about it though, Stef was an animal for us. Sadly the post season rarely saw the same production.

Who has been the 2nd best Bill this season?
Sojourner replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
You know, not to rehash the exit of the playoffs but not having Bernard in that playoffs hurt us but we had a build up of the coaches designing the scheme without him. Benford going down early in the first quarter was the nail in the coffin. Taron is one of my favorite. In fact, I may get his number 7 jersey and double up lol 24 has served me well over the years; Schulz in the 90s, McGee, Gilmore and then Taron. Hopefully I don’t have to buy a Bishop jersey. Four 24’s is enough lol -
Hope they paid him in Yellow and Orange bills 🙃

Who has been the 2nd best Bill this season?

It’s McGovern for me but Edwards is a close second. Dude has solidified that offense line at what was another concern after Morse left. No snap issues and looks to be have made Edwards a seamless addition next to him on the line. Not exactly a flashy choice but very important. -
Similar to Gruden when he took to YouTube. The quality of information is up there but the production leaves a lot to be desired. It isn’t a make or break for me but I can see why some people would be put off and not even bother with it as it has the actual learning perspective rather than the allure of graphics. The content is more important than the dress up imo.

Why hasn't the Samuel signing worked?
Sojourner replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Early days? Don’t think he’s getting 300-500 yards in the next 3 games lol -
He’s going to supply them with the BBQ from La Traila! (Great food there btw)

Roster moves - includes release of Toohill
Sojourner replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great point. Might be a move with more foresight. Maybe Spencer isn’t playing this week in their minds? -
Great question. Even better if we can factor the other 2 from that ‘83 draft. That’s another thread though. Very tough where to place him. I can see how one can make an argument for anywhere between 3-10. The only 2 he doesn’t go ahead of are Mahomes and Josh. Personally, I put him in that 4-7 range. The third place goes to Burrow/Lamar.

I honestly thought he was going to fill the role Lil Dirty had. It seems like those gadgets are what they have him in mind for most but it just isn’t working. Many factors come into play but like a lot have, rightly imo, said is that there’s better players who work from that Y role. Didn’t think he’d get 1k but 5-700 yards and a few tds was a reasonable expectation. Way off. -
I don’t what I like more. Baldy’s breakdowns or the fact he’s so reluctant to get actual footage and just records the stuff of a monitor with his phone 😂 On a serious note, his breakdowns are quality. Thanks.

Well said. Bigger picture for any team who’s in that situation with that schedule… if the injury is indeed as reported, he’s not playing both games in a 4 day window well. Wentz this first game then Mahomes Christmas Day against Pittsburgh if need be. Whilst I hope they don’t lol, giving Mahomes the extra rest whilst having a litmus test for Wentz and the team is the smarter scenario for them

Good points on the NFC teams. Detroit were a concern until they’ve lost Montgomery, McNeil and possible Carlton Davis for the rest of the year. Green Bay are in a similar position to Minnesota imo. They’ll go as far as their QB will take them. Love is definitely a star in this league but he seems to be very erratic. Solid defense for both teams that can force you into mistakes and short fields for their offenses. Darnold, and I love the comeback story, is being bailed out by Son&Son routinely. The catches one or both re making week in, week out is nothing short of spectacular. Can’t be reliant on that for potential 4 games that are win or go home. Philly is a concern, Hurts and the Eagles, to me, are a poor man’s Lamar and the Ravens. They’ve got an absolute unit @ RB in Saquon, who I feel is above Henry given the age and pass catching ability. More dynamic. Can run around or through you. When they’ve got the ground game rolling and can hit you with play action, you’re in trouble. At that moment Hurts is just as good as Lamar and sometimes even Mahomes or Josh. He just doesn’t have the consistently. The Eagles defense is the topper though. That unit is top notch. They can stop the run and pass very well. Best in the league @ pass defense, top 5 for run defense and joint first in ppg. They’re decent for sacks and turnovers but not great. Something that makes the defensive rankings for yards and points even better imo.

Denver. He was then running around like a maniac celebrating after the blocked FG. 😂

Last year was indeed a very average year and incredible games? Might only be one. That was the 5 against Miami. Thing about Lamar is he’s a very efficient QB when you have him playing the system they run. He’s had 4 pretty solid games this year but they’ve come against teams that, like you said for last year are the same this year poor quality or have had multiple games where they’ve been that level across the board. Cinci x2 Tampa NYG Even more so this year, when you deep dive into the stats. When Lamar is being put in a situation to pass more than 25 times the Ravens have lost. There’s 2 games over that number in which they won. And that’s 2 of those referenced above. Both Cincinnati, and we know how horrendous they are as a defensive unit lol Again, I give Lamar a lot of credit. He’s a menace but the team doesn’t appear to be winning games when he’s having to sling it. People say KC showed everyone how to shut them down in the AFCC last year. I disagree. Baltimore showed you themselves how to beat them. They abandoned their running game, even with Lamar, and had him out there as a predominately passing QB.

You’re right, he hasn’t but both of their careers are heftily littered with 4 and 3 passing TDs a game. The point is eyebrows were raised because they claimed him to be “the first ever” to produce that stat line. The context of it being in the regular season only wasn’t, foolishly on their part, provided. I’ll give credit to Lamar, he’s one of the best in the league. It’s just hilarious that they throw a statistical grouping/metric to showcase a one-of-one. The playoffs matter. More so. You’re playing the top teams in the conference/league. Now, 5TDs is still 5TDs and a hell of an accomplishment and he has quite a few for a runner. The even crazier thing is the games he’s thrown 5 in, six total, it’s super efficient. They’re all in the 20-25 passing attempt range. That’s a lot 1/5 to a 1/4 of all passes are a touchdown.
