Monster DT or WR. Do have a feeling we double dip on the defensive line again sadly. LB isn’t that bad tbh. Just need Bernard/Milano/Williams to be healthy/available. Safety I’d rather them get a vet in FA. Same for CB. There’s a lot of quality options in that pool for both positions this coming offseason. defensive line FA pool is pretty much slim to none this coming period.

Totally understand that sentiment but Groot has talent. If he wants top 10 money @ the position? No thanks. Especially if there’s someone else who becomes available in the FA pool. If he can be had for that 10-15 range of money? Yeah, I’d do that. I think he’s a quality young player but, and this is where I could get behind moving on, he does leave a lot to be desired some games and seems to go through stretches or bursts where he’s dominant. Consistent ones are hard to find, there’s fewer of them than there ever had been league wide.

Thought the game was done given how they’ve been playing recently. What an absolute stand in back to back drives by their defense. And the final play of the game by Baker?! Holy moly. What moxie.

Good point. Steelers are in a tough point and need to turn their season around ASAP before heading into the post season. The Philly game ended horribly for a pretty good defense, a 20+ play drive that lasted 11 minutes. Second half against Baltimore they played pretty well, the offense just killed any momentum with some absolutely brutal turnovers by Russ and on downs. KC has to be their bounce back game to stay in pole position for that division and keep some home field advantage. They’re 5-1 this year at home. Their only loss was to Dallas right at the end of the 4th. Like all teams they play some of, if not most of, their best football at home. Tomlin and his staff absolutey know this. All hands on deck is essential until after the Jets.

Im with you. But like Wilson from Home Improvement. I’ve heard and looked over the fence long enough to understand the disappointment enough to get it. We’ve all caught ourself being unhappy with something out of the 16 and now 17 games in a season. That part is accentuated when you’ve got a generational talent that might not get himself, the team and the fan base whats played and watched for during a season

lol on one hand I agree with you. The other? We are spoilt. There’s not an expectation during those drought years to win. That was just an added bonus. The drought years were enjoyable. These years with Josh are as much memorable as they are enjoyable. Big difference to me at least.

I don’t know which camp to put myself in as the #1 seed probably isn’t going to happen but, even if most of us deem it unlikely, KC can still drop their remaining 2 games. Pittsburgh will be playing balls to the wall on Christmas as they and Baltimore are standing at 10-5. That sentiment and mindset might be better suited if they beat the Steelers as its then completely unobtainable. Do we drop the remaining 2 games and finished tied with Pittsburgh and lose the 2 seed or Baltimore and lose the slot we are in due to H2H? Who knows. What I do know is, from a team perspective, “what is there to play for?” mode shouldn’t be a thing unless KC beat Pittsburgh AND beat the Jets. We can still, even if the chances are slim, can drop out of the 2 seed. F that man. F that for all the fans who have already got tickets to see our boys in any or both of the playoff games. Sure, I’ll get my money back but it isn’t a consolation to miss out on a/multiple playoff home games because they “mailed it in” too early.

Sounds like a win to me. Groot is our best DLineman, need to retain him. Shakir is an absolute must. Still a rising star in this league. McGovern, solid at the Center. Him and Edwards have been a great pairing for what appeared to be a potential concern starting the year. Benford absolutely gets the money if you’re giving it to any corner, hence why I agree against Douglas. That money will be pretty decent and better allocated to 47 staying with some finances sprinkled elsewhere. Love Jimbo. Think he’s an absolute game changer but if he’s not accepting offers we match from other teams or wants more than what’s on our table, you let him walk. Whilst we don’t know entirely what we have with Ray Davis, him and Ty Johnson have been very effective when on the field.

I agree with that but the situation, whether you like it or not, is he’s a depth player. There’s still some value there. Wouldn’t equate him outright as a bust but an over drafted choice. Irrespective of where we drafted him there is severely worse options on other teams around the league for their third, fourth of even fifth options. Will continue to support the guy as long as he’s on this team, starting or not. But that’s just me.

I get the complaints but don’t get the hate. The coverage is solid but he needs to start getting his head around as best as he can. He’s an ok corner. Not great, not terrible. Will give up some plays, will make some others. Can’t have blue chip talent at all 22 guys fielded as starters.

Speaking of standings, crazy to think the Vikings have a better record than us. And secondly, that they’re not the #2 in the NFC.

Defense showed up the second half when the offense did just enough. Not exactly thrilled with the performance but the outcome is a win and better than the opposite. The better teams in the league more often than not find a way to win when they’re playing badly.

Very talented group. Only one I can think of that is as good is a healthy Detroit or healthy San Francisco
