They have the ability but are just too inconsistent. Detroit show up every week, as does Josh. Minnesota defense and their 2 guys; Son & Son are unreal week in week out. Baltimore are like the Rams very slightly, they have had some big ups and downs. If they get that running game going against anyone, even KC, it’s problems. Lamar becomes absolute elite with an effective running game.

Fair point. And I thought the same during the start of the season. When Rice and Pacheco went down it looked like they needed to turn the corner asap. They didn’t. The wins still weren’t viable until after the Chargers. Browns/Texans/Steelers is the run they look to actually be some semblance of themselves/an offense and not coming out of the right side of a bounce. I don’t think anyone doubted them righting the ship but rather that they’re holding on to the one seed and coming away with tremendous luck that’s keeping them there. They’re a problem at Arrowhead whether they play good or bad. It’s an absolute nightmare when the offense has its feet underneath them. Which is now, sadly, where we are at.

Yeah, I bought into that narrative too. And at some points this year they have been a lucky team however, since the Chargers they’ve looked like the quality team they have been. This beat down on a short week of the Steelers, a top team in the AFC whether you agree or not, is testament to that and the quality of their coaching. Quality team that’s been on the right end of luck defining moments.
