I hate to say it but while watching the game today thought it may take an injury to make Allen a better QB. He's not going to last the season if he keeps running like he did today.

I tend to agree. They both have been in the Pats*** system. People always reference how Cassel stepped in and excelled during the 2008 season but he was drafted in 2005 and thus had been in the system for 3 full seasons.

Will definitely be interesting to watch. There are no recent scenarios for comparison (that I can think of). Parcells and Jimmy J. come to mind but they were less successful after going to different organizations.

I have a funny "brush with greatness" story... my girlfriend (now wife) and I were having drinks one Friday after work at a bar in Boston's Faneuil Hall back in the late '80s. There was a commotion at the front of the bar and in walks Roger Clemens who, after much fanfare and back slapping by the Sox fans in the bar, proceeded to walk past us to the back of the bar. We went back to drinking/talking and after about 5 minutes there was another commotion at the front of the bar. In walks Clemens again... after he walked past us the first time, he went out the back door and around to the front again.

The formation was the 'Single Wing'. I attended a Division 3 university in the 1980s that ran it exclusively. Nobody could stop it, except Augustana who was the perennial D3 national champion back then. Hint for YOLO: my school was in your neck of the woods.
