  1. If I ever was myself I wasn't that night.

  2. ^this + do "the hulk" at the 50 yard line
  3. Didn't see the last two touchdowns by the fish, but checked the box score and the Bills D gave up a couple of 30+ yard TD passes. What happened? Was it busted coverage or just a good play by the fish?
  4. He also extorted land owners around Gillette stadium until they sold him their land. Now he charges $40+ for cars and $150 for campers. What a guy.
  5. Watched the first half. EJ looked good as did Tyrod. Cassel, not so much. Tyrod and EJ 1-2 with Cassel 3. Anything else is nonsense.
  6. Thanks for posting. It's about time someone started a thread discussing the quarterback situation.
  7. My dad and I went to many games back in the late 70's through the mid 80's. I remember my first experience witnessing drunken behavior at a game, though I was too young to realize the person drunk at the time. We were sitting in the end zone for a game back in the late 70's. I don't remember the specifics other than it was a night game. This sloppy looking dude (again, I didn't realize then that he was drunk) was carrying a couple of beers and walked down the aisle all the way to the wall surrounding the field. He turned around to face the crowd, put down the beers, then turned around so he was facing the field and proceeded to moon the entire section. All with a huge grin on his face. He was cheered by the entire section as he was led out by security.
  8. Agree with CBF and DrD. Did any of you attend a Pats** game at Foxboro in the pre-Kraft/pre-Gillette years? It was ugly. When the Pats** began their run and increased their season ticket holder base things got better. From what I understand, they will now pull a season ticket holder's tickets if he or anyone he sells his tickets to causes problems. I attend the Bills game at Gillette every year and it is a very family-friendly environment.
  9. Enjoying the ride for now, we will see how things shake out come December but I have a feeling we will be happy. I will tell you that folks in NE are nervous. Was in/on Cape Cod last week and more than one person mentioned coach Ryan and his impact on our favorite team.
  10. I was a big fan of Kiko when he was here and wish him the best but his durability is a concern as he looks undersized in the picture that accompanies the article. Do the Eagles have the DL to keep the big boys off of him?
  11. Does anyone recall the movie "Hoop Dreams" from the early 90's? Basketball version of "Blind Side" with a less fortunate outcome. The chance of these kids making it to the professional level in any sport is miniscule. Ohrer is a great story. However, as other posters have said, perhaps he just isn't good enough after all is said and done.
  12. Freddie. Will mentor Shady and the other r-backs, show them how it is done, have a great season and then retire in the red, white and blue !
  13. Long story. Started dating in '87 when the Pats*** sucked. She almost got my ass kicked when I took her to the game that fall at Rich where the Pats*** eliminated the Bills from the playoffs. She is a classic bandwagon fan as are all Pats*** fans. I lived in Beantown for 15 years and saw it firsthand. Once Brady retires and they suck again the Pats*** will sink back into oblivion...
  14. I live in CT and am married to a Pats*** fan. Her view, as is that of all Pats*** fans, is that they did nothing wrong and that the rest of the league is jealous of the their success the past decade plus. BTW, very interesting that Don Shula continues to express his thoughts about the Pats*** and Belicheck being cheaters and bad for the game.
  15. I was at this game at Gillette. Spikes knocked out Fred with a questionable elbow to the head. Watch the video closely, Fred is lying motionless on the ground while others scramble for the ball.
  16. ^ this. Looking forward to the video of the pre-game speech!
  17. Are there concerns with Kiko's knee? Didn't read the entire thread so I apologize if this was discussed earlier.
  18. Sitting on my buddy's couch in Marblehead, MA (on Boston's North Shore) where I lived at the time. By the end of the first half I was basically reading the Sunday Boston Globe and looking up once every couple of minutes to check on the game but I just couldn't turn the game off. My girlfriend (now wife), buddy and his girlfriend all left to run some errands so I watched the second half by myself. Damn that was fun!
  19. Now, that is hillarious.
  20. Is the Tom Clements that is mentioned in the article the same guy that was the OCfor the Bills under Mularkey?
  21. Agreed. Bill, I hope all is well and you are back soon. -HS I particularly miss trying to identify/decipher Bill's quotes from Jerry and the boys.
  22. Or Tom Landry? Regarding Freddie, sure he has lost a step but he still gets the tough yards when needed. The man deserves to finish his career on his own terms including a trip to the playoffs next year, and that should happen with a decent OL and OC. As for Whaley/Marrone, as fans we get caught up in analyzing the minutiae. The consensus from those who observe the Bills from the outside is that this is a team on the rise and that implementing wholesale changes in the front office would be a mistake. The obvious weaknesses with the OL and QB will be addressed. Key players on defense will be re-signed. That said, watching Hughes today I couldn't help but think of Bryce Paup. Hughes is a product of the system and if he signs a massive contract elsewhere he will be viewed as a disappointment. Whaley will offer him a decent contract but, like he did with Byrd, will not overpay. Looking forward to next season!
