I had a brief interaction with Mr. Russert and he was as genuine as you would expect from a Buffalonian. It was the summer of 1987 and I was living on Nantucket with some college buddies. this game was 2 or 3 plays from being a potential blowout, or at the least a more comfortable margin of victory. The Kincaid drop that killed the first drive of the 2nd half, which may have led to a 28-10 score. The 3rd and goal where Josh was stuffed for no gain and the Coleman slant that would have gone the distance if not for a great tackle.

Bills 27 Ravens 17 I was watching highlights of the week 4 game and there were at least 5 backups on defense in every positive highlight for the Ravens. I also had forgotten about the ridiculous trick play that completely killed the momentum the Bills had gained. If they had scored on that drive the score would have been 21-17 which may have led to a completely different final outcome.
