  1. Similar to "Red Sox Nation" before they won their first World Series.
  2. If not, it could be a hair-raising experience.
  3. RIP Shawn. Sorry for the loss of your friend, Firebaugh.
  4. Bill Barnwell has an article today on the Trey Lance situation that agrees with the OPs assessment of Lynch's recent drafts. Skip to the part titled "What does this say about the 49ers' recent draft history?" if you don't want to read the entire article. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38253859/trey-lance-future-best-nfl-team-trade-fits-how-49ers-got-wrong-next
  5. Tomlin is setting the tone to ensure they don't miss the playoffs again this year.
  6. Exactly, or Antowain Smith. Those teams had a decent quarterback that opposing defenses had to respect.
  7. My wife and kids all suffer from some form of mental illness. Keep up the good fight Draconator and JerseyBills.
  8. Zolak is the worst. I have the "pleasure" of listening to him do color commentary on the Bills/Pats* games while driving in the car here in CT. Almost as bad as Derek Sanderson doing Sabres/Bruins games back in the day.
  9. "The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights." - Muhammad Ali
  10. I bought 7 tickets to the Bills/Giants game yesterday via SeatGeek. It was a painless transaction however as @zow2 said, the per ticket fee was pricey.
  11. Tom Landry comes to mind. As successful as he was, the game had passed him by and bringing in Jimmy J. resulted in the Cowboy's Super Bowl run, which was certainly aided by the Herschel Walker trade.
  12. It's McDermott, it would be yogurt with granola.
  13. Gary Marangi coming off the bench against the Dolphins to replace an injured Joe Ferguson. My dad and I were watching the game but had to leave the house to attend the Sabres game that day/night. IIRC the announcer at the Aud provided updates, with the crowd cheering when the Bills scored and groaning when the final score was announced.
  14. Allen had one of his better games last year in the opener against the Rams so not too worried about this.
  15. for those in the Boston (MA) area, my wife and I stopped by Buffs Pub in Newton Corner for the first time in years last Sunday. The wings were as good as I remember from eating there often while living there in the late 80's/early 90's.
  16. I liked Singletary, however his propensity for drive-killing turnovers/miscues offset many of his positive contributions to the offense. The same can be said of Davis last season, however I have a hunch he (Davis) will have the kind of season in 2023 everyone was predicting he would have in 2022.
