ProFootballTalk's one and only 2023 mock draft
Haslett_Stomp replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
My daughter goes to TCU so I have seen Johnson play quite a bit (when he wasn't injured). I would not draft him in the first round and agree with the comments above regarding him not being polished, playing smaller than he is and excelling against weak secondaries. -
didn't read the prior posts but the 2021 season was their Super Bowl season.

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?

How many more pages until this tops the Mario Williams thread? -

Converted to safety? Basically the same size as Coy Wire.

See Nathaniel Hackett.

I’ll throw this out there about Hollywood Brown.

I'm fairly certain Daboll evolved into a better OC from his first year with the Bills to his last. -
Apparently Vegas doesn't agree the Bills are done...

There is a Raiders fan at the local establishment where I watch the games that told me I was nuts, the Bills were the best team in the league every time I said I had doubts about them this year. When I walked into the place after the Bengals game he asked me what happened... -
Something very different: who we really are. 😄

I was born in CT and moved to Dallas in the early 70's with my family when my dad was transferred there for work. Our neighbors there included Mel Renfro and Roger Staubach so I became a huge Cowboys fan, which continued after moving to OPNY in 1975. I've been a Bills fan ever since then and the Cowboys were my 2nd favorite team until they treated Tom Landry like crap when JJ bought the team and brought in JJ. Though I left WNY in 1984 to attend college, I've always stayed connected and would move back in a second if my Pats*** bride wasn't so attached to the northeast. Pats*** aside for obvious reasons, people here don't understand why I still despise the Bruins and Celtics, even after living here for over 30 years (Brad Park in game 7 anyone?). I have 3 kids in their 20's who, much to my wife's dismay, are all Bills fans. -
Draft Stetson Bennett as our backup.

^these. My daughter goes to TCU and I watched every TCU game this year. A smaller version of Allen, albeit with a weaker arm. He carried that team this year. -
Who's our slot WR in 2023, Shakir or...?

Not sure what happened to Davis but the touchdown catch he had against Minkah Fitzpatrick in week 5 was about as contested as you can get. -

McDermott realized Dennison wasn't working as OC after his first season and brought in Dabol, which makes his hesitancy to move on from Frazier puzzling. -
How many teams can Singletary start on

Moss had decent stats once he was traded to the Colts, which underscores the issues discussed here ad nauseum regarding the offensive line and overall scheme. -
Saffold said guys were "exhausted" this week and "out of gas"

Didn't they say the same thing about Rick Dennison? -
Excellent game breakdown of Buffalo vs. Miami

I haven't watched the entire video, in fact stopped at ~ 6 minutes in and agree with LMSB. The fish's defensive strategy has not been effective against Josh and the Bills offense over the past several years. In fact, it was quite the opposite. -
Tua ruled out vs Buffalo, Skylar Thompson expected to start
Haslett_Stomp replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
If one is to believe McDaniel: "It's a serious injury; it's hard to know if he'll be able to play this week," McDaniel said. "I never put anything past Raheem Mostert ... but it is a significant break of his thumb." -

Mostert may not play as well... -
My family and I experienced this first hand during the experience with my father that I relayed last night. We received different messaging from the Neurologist and "head ER doctor" (in quotes because I don't know the proper terminology). They actually went into a room and we could hear them yelling at each other before they came out and provided an update.

This event hit very close to home for me as my father died from complications from sudden cardiac arrest over a decade ago. He was exercising in a gym at a private club with no AED device available and one other person present when he had his "massive heart attack", which is how sudden cardiac arrest is often described. Paramedics did not arrive on the scene for 20+ minutes, at which point they were able to resuscitate him. He was in the ICU for almost 4 days and underwent many, if not all of the procedures, discussed in this thread. There was a period where we just had to wait for his heart and body to unwind from the trauma it had experienced before the various tests could be administered and the results reviewed by the medical team. We ultimately made the decision to remove him from life support as the doctors determined his brain had been deprived of oxygen for too long to function. My father was a very religious/spiritual man who was described by the pastor of his church as the closest person to God he had ever met. I'm not particularly religious (spiritual, yes) and don't pray often but asked my dad tonight to help Damar get through this. I look forward to getting some positive news tomorrow.
