Turning Point in the Game
Haslett_Stomp replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with what others have said, the turning point was before the game, when the referees made the decision to call PI/defensive holding against a Chiefs' secondary that had been getting away with it all season. -
Cole Beasley broke his damn fibula vs Patriots Week 16

Wow, that's crazy. Heart of a lion. -
A sense of calm this week...

^this. I was talking about this with my wife last night and used Marino as an example. He went to the big dance once early in his career and never made it back. -
Thanks for posting this, worth taking the 18+ minutes to watch. As the previous poster said, Thurman ran wild. I was also struck by how much more physical the game seemed than today's NFL - many of the hits on receivers would be flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct or unnecessary roughness (can't remember the penalty) today.

Did you mean fibula?

Pats fans jumping on Bills Wagon!

It's simple... they're Massholes. -
The end of the interview was priceless - when they poked each other like a couple high school kids. I thought they were going to give each other noogies.

I have a soon-to-be 21 year-old daughter who drops the F-bomb quite often. I always point out that it makes her sound unintelligent since there are many other words that can be used to express an emotion. After TJ got to the end zone and I saw that there were no flags thrown on the return I screamed "F#*K YEAH!" I then looked at her and said "that is an appropriate time to drop the F-bomb."

Poll on how you feel leading up to the game
Haslett_Stomp replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Disregard my nervousness, please ignore my vacant stares." Someone on the Bills defense is going to get a pick-six and the Bills run away with the game after that. -
"Unwanted" Good article (mostly) on Allen from NFL.com

Nice read, thanks for posting. Something tells me we're in for a big game from Mr. Allen on Saturday. Go Bills! -

Another week, another excellent piece of analysis. Thanks for putting this together, OP. -
Same here. Start the morning with my Bills coffee mug (with the logo completely washed off) followed by cracking the first beer around an hour before the game and drinking it out of my Menemsha Blues pint glass.

Forgotten cautionary tales of Reich's Colts

Could we potentially see #44 (Matakevich) on some downs? I know it was only one half of action but he was all over the field on Sunday hitting anything that moved. -

Congrats! Have fun and make some noise. It will be interesting to hear how loud 6,700 Bills fans can be. -

Nice analysis, thanks for taking the time to put this together. It will be interesting to see how Coach McD handles the lineups. -
Love the positive thinking OP and I hope you're right. I have had the feeling for awhile that the Bills will make to to the AFC Championship game, lose a heartbreaker, and win it all next year. I hope I am wrong!

Thanks Shaw, an excellent synopsis as usual. I always start off the morning after gameday with reading your review and Virgil's "thoughts".
