Week 9 - Predict the score (Seattle @ Buffalo)
TPS replied to RiotAct's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, this is one of those games where all of the talk will be focused on Seattle, but the Bills will come out and make a statement, much like the Dallas game last year. 31 - 27 Bills. -
Just noticed, the next three games are against the top 3 offensive teams in the NFL as measured by yds/game. They've played the 4th (KC) and 5th (Tenn) rated teams as well.

Beane's construction of this roster
TPS replied to All I Need is Hope's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can you explain how not taking Mahomes is Beane's fault...? -
Yeah, I'm thinking with this monkey off their back, maybe they will play a lot more free and easy agains the Pats from here on out. There has been so much pressure to get over the hump, so it'll be interesting to see how they play the second one...

Call your shot: Who do you want to trade for, and what price?

A good 1-tech would filter through the entire D. If you can't get him, then someone needs to go knocking on D Poe's door... -

Wonder what the over/under is for pass attempts by Cam, 15? -

Gameday Thread PreGame Week 8 Bills vs Patriots
TPS replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Read some things on him yesterday. He's a DT and, despite his size, is fairly stout against the run. He's up today for obvious reasons... -
I think you make an argument that supports Simms. The front 7 is not so great at stopping the run. It took adding an extra man in the box to that, which then weakened the Pass D. Last year Belichick ran all over the Bills, so I expect that will be their aim this week. Can Cam beat us with his arm is the question...?

Week 6 Postgame Thread KC at Bills
TPS replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have failed the old adage of run and stop the run. We won't beat good teams until that gets fixed. -
You don't get to the AFC championship game without being "legit." The Titans are better than last year and will be a formidable team in the playoffs. Throw in Pittsburgh with Rothlisberger back, KC, Baltimore, the AFC has some tough teams. Notice I didn't include that Patsies....😆

Baldy Breakdowns (Josh's 4th Quarter Comeback)
TPS replied to TBBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It does look like Dawkins is saying something to him too, and gesturing "like wtf, why didn't you try and block someone?" Something to monitor... -
Baldy's sounds so excited...

I clicked on this topic just to see how many responses it took for this. 👍

Lee Smith TD pass on 4th and goal. That says so many things about this team vs the past. And Lee frickin' Smith!
-
Yes, the defender would've had to get clear possession before Kroft hit the ground. There is no way to over turn that call.

I posted this in the Week 3 thread with not much reaction. To me, this is incredible! It's the strike to Diggs down the sideline (just 46 yards), and he has the instinctual reaction to jump slightly so his front foot isn't planted in order to avoid the injury. He's super human....
-
This is essentially what Palmer indicated, that we're only seeing the "tip of of the iceberg" so far....
-
Great last line by Palmer, why he is so high on Josh, because he knows what motivates him. "It's not to throw for 400 yards, it's to bring a Super Bowl Championship to Buffalo..."

Didn't see this elsewhere. Sorry if it was already posted.. Subtle and amazing. If his front leg is planted, he likely is injured.

I'm not sure what you're using to rank cases? Sweden is in the top 10 for cases per million population. I'm curious, then, what would you suggest they do in Arizona, Texas, Florida, and other states where the number of cases is increasing again?
-
Sweden is not "much lower than other developed countries." It's fifth is deaths per million among countries with 20k or more cases. Italy and Spain are currently higher because they were hit early and hard. We'll see if Sweden overtakes them. The point of a lockdown was to prevent the health system from becoming overwhelmed. The idea of "flattening the curve" doesn't mean fewer coronavirus cases overall, it means spreading the cases so the health system can accomodate both covid and other serious health issues. This was the point made in Pueyo's articles. Interestingly he suggested less extreme measures, including masks and social distancing. Maybe US politicians took more extreme measures due to your focus on culture--they realized many Americans won't adhere to the policies. Arizona is an interesting case study at the moment. As cases have increased after re-opening, and reports that ICU facilities are nearing capacity, how should they respond?
