  1. That would also mean 6-0 in the AFCE, also great (even though it does include the Jets...)
  2. The Bills will most likely sign all of their RFAs sign(Wallace, Zimmer, Kumerow, Boettger, Bojorquez, and maybe Smith the LB) and their one ERFA (lewis). They'll probably sign at least 90% of their PS players. As the OP asked, which UFAs will they re-sign? The list includes: Murphy, Milano, Kroft, Norman, Nsekhe, Feliciano, Williams, Winters, Roberts, Barkley, Jones, Yeldon, Marlowe, and McKenzie. For their more expensive signings (>= $5 mil) ,I think they absolutely re-sign Feliciano for his versatility, insurance against Morse's injuries, and he absolutely fits "the process," in fact he is Mr Process. I don't think they'll be able to afford both Milano and Williams. Milano wants to be here, so he may give them a nice discount, and given his injury history they may be able to come up with a contract that protects them against that. That leaves Williams on the outside, from my perspective. Murphy and Nsekhe are gone, and I don't think they can afford Norman as well. Mid-level ($2 - $5 mil): I'm they'd like to have Roberts back, but no guarantee. They'd probably like to have Barkley back, but it will depend on if they can trust Fromm at this point. Winters is gone. Low-level ($1 -$2 mil) I think they will try to bring back Jones, Marlowe, and McKenzie. Yeldon is gone. Summarizing, the UFAs I think they bring back are Feliciano, Milano, Jones, Marlowe, McKenzie, and maybe Roberts and Barkley. Gone are Murphy, Nsekhe, Norman, Kroft, Winters, Yeldon, and Williams.
  3. Murphy is an UFA this year, so there's no savings. Star will cost more to release than keep.
  4. This might as well go here too. The loss to the Bills has Big Ben mentioning the R word... https://sports.yahoo.com/ben-roethlisberger-on-loss-to-bills-if-i-dont-play-good-enough-football-i-need-to-hang-it-up-152149722.html
  5. I was thinking along these lines as I read the OP. I absolutely believe that there's a psychology associated with the concept based upon knowing "in your head" that you should win a game. If taht mentality seeps into enough players, then it shows up in a game. Just as there is a mentality that can help win a game, it works the other way as well. It might not result in a loss most of the time, but it sure can result in not meeting the expected betting outcome--the spread.
  6. Yeah, I think he'd love to be a part of the team that finally brought home the Lombardi trophy. It would take a great off until then...
  7. As I posted in the "post-game" thread Sunday night, I had friends in Hawaii texting and asking for Bills jerseys, especially Allen's.
  8. At one point last year I suggested sitting him and replacing him with Duke because he wasn't contributing at the WR position which was sorely lacking (toward the end, teams were focused on taking away Smoke and Beas, and there was no one else picking up the slack. In addition, the Bills ST unit wasn't very good overall. This year, he is a valuable piece to the overall puzzle, especially now that they have a great complement of WRs and their return unit is much better.
  9. It's fine if he leaves. Super Bowl champs always seem to lose coordinators this way....
  10. It won't be a problem.
  11. People actually listen to that guy?
  12. A CB, Ramsey maybe. Super Bowl team with another stud opposite White.
  13. Great stuff on Diggs in Fairburn's article here: https://theathletic.com/2259486/2020/12/14/bills-show-key-ingredients-for-playoff-success-in-win-over-steelers/
  14. Johnson, Phillips, Oliver, and Epenesa, not a bad foundation going forward.
  15. Bills with Josh Allen are building a national following. I've got friends in Hawaii asking me to get them Jerseys for the whole family!
  16. I'll add Beasely. He needed 37 yards to break his personal best for yards in a season, got 41.
  17. It's hard to separate these guys....I think this is a pic of them when they were in Carolina....(Sean still had hair)
  18. This post made me go back and read the "in your head" post. I thought along similar lines after the LAC game (at leaast I believe that was the one), that he can be his own worst enemy. Interestingly, I caught part of the Pitt-Ravens game where Big Ben was dinking and dunking most of the time, wondering if Allen could ever get to that point? I thought the 49er game showed some of that, "some." He is still so young and raw, which means he's got so much more room to grow. While he will never lose that gunslinger mentality, it looks like he is learning to be more patient and taking what's given sometimes. Sunday night will be a very good test, and I hope he passes... Lastly, I've made this point a few times in posts where people lament not taking Mahomes: given he has so much more room to grow, if Allen CAN harness himself (and I believe he can), I believe one day soon the Mahomes Lament will go the way of the Dodo...
  19. I agree with the first point. I don't know about second, as there is certainly enough tape going back to last year. Don't take any unnecessary risks until it matters most. On the other hand, for this week at least, if the Steelers play a lot of man, and they are weak at LB, I can see Dabol telling Josh to take advantage of it when it's there.
  20. Strength against strength, our protection against their pass rush. Should be the #1 factor playing into the outcome.
  21. It takes awhile to come to grips with the fact these aren’t our same old Bills. I’m still working through it too!
  22. Who has the best chance to beat the Chiefs in the NFL?
  23. I seriously think in another year or two very few people will be questioning this move. Josh is the better "fit" for Buffalo, and he still has much more room to grow compared to PM.
